New Stamps at Crafty Individuals!

Hi There! Did you know that Crafty Individuals released some new stamps recently? There are two absolutely stunning Mandala stamps in amongst them, designed by my very lovely friend Lynne of Creative Lynks
The top 2 use the Summer mandala stamp with the gorgeous butterfly in the centre.
This third one features the spring mandala. they are wonderful to colour and layer up but equally good to simply stamp over an inky background. I absolutely love them!

If you want to get your hands on these beauties, you can find them on the Crafty individuals website at an introductory price!
Check them out here.

Crafty Individuals Birds

Hi There! I thought it was high time I showed you some of the cards I made for the last Crafty Individuals release. Jean will be back on Create and Craft on the first Friday in August with some gorgeous new stamps that I can't show you yet, but I can show you these.

These first two were stamped with the beautiful W for Wren drawn by our lovely Dora.

These two were both made with A is for Apple stamp, the first coloured like a Jay and the second like a female blackbird.  I love how colouring them differently can make them look like a different stamp.

You can find the new stamps that Dora designed here:

A is for Apple

B is for Bird

W is for Wren

G is for Goose

I will be back with more next week.

Before I go look who has been helping with the Ants in the lawn

I know some people get Great spotted woodpeckers on their feeders in the garden, but it is a first for us.

Thanks for looking and Happy Crafting!

New Crafty Individuals stamps part two

 Hi There

Here are the new flower stamps from Crafty Individuals that are now available on the website. I have also used one or two of the butterflies as embellishments

This CAS card uses the Lilly stamp and a that's crafty stencil
The Passion flower stamp goes so well with the new papers that our lovely Lynne created using her photos
Here is a more vintage style version of the Lily
Jean did a wonderful demo with the mallow stamp on the TV.
Finally here is the birthday card I made for a lovely friend using the passion flower and more that's crafty stencils.

New Crafty Individuals Stamps part one

 Hi There!

Did you see Jean Hardy  on Create and Craft on Friday 1st April? There were some new stamps and papers as well as some older stamps and greyboard too. Jean's demos were wonderful as always. I thought I would share my samples in several posts over this week. Todays are the new butterflies.

My lolly stick plaque also has a sentiment from Chocolate Baroque.
The new papers feature on this sample too.
Here is a journal page using an older stamp in the background and the new butterflies as focal points.
As well as these samples I made some ATCs for a facebook live on Wednesday
You can find the Video from the live here
During the Live we decided to have a Crafty Individuals ATC swap. If you would like to join in here is a link to the swap in the Facebook group

All of the new stamps, papers and greyboard can be found here on the website

Thanks for looking!

A journal page for Crafty Individuals

Hi There! I was inspired by Jean's live on Wednesday afternoon to get my journal out, and here are the results. I took photos as I went along to show you how I made it.

I began by tearing some scraps of book pages, papers and tissue and sticking them down in my Seawhite 6" square journal. For this I used matte medium.

When this was dry I gave it a coat of gesso and left to dry again.
Using the funky flowers mask and a blending brush I added some walnut stain distress ink flowers.
Next I stamped some of the mismesh and man's best friend stamps around the edges using the same ink. This takes a little longer to dry on a gessoed surface, but will dry eventually.
I stamped the flowers in versafine clair ink onto Crafty Individuals stamping card. I coloured them and cut out the panels, then found a suitable sentiment from a pack of Dina Wakely collage papers.

I added these to the page with matte medium, adding a little shading around the flower panels with a pumice stone distress crayon.
Finally I added a few sequins to finish it off.

Thanks for looking and I hope I have inspired you to have a go! Journals are a great place to have a play and experiment with new techniques.

Facebook live Earrings for Crafty Individuals

Hi There!

Last week I was asked by Jean of Crafty Individuals to step in and do her facebook live on Wednesday. It was a pleasure to help out and I made some shrink plastic earrings. You can watch the video on the Crafty Individuals Shop facebook page here:

Crafty Individuals Facebook live from Wednesday 12th January 2022

The Stamp I used can be found here

I did a test to see if the size would be suitable first

I have made a few pairs of Earrings using Crafty Individuals stamps over the past couple of years....

I have discovered that there are some lovely starter kits on Amazon if you haven't done anything like this before, that aren't too expensive.

All of Jean's lives can be found here on the facebook page - If you are stuck for inspiration or mojo, it is a great place to start x

Crafty Individuals Samples

Hi All! In the mad rush towards Christmas, and with preparing samples for two shows in quick succession, plus a holiday, I completely forgot to post my last lot of Crafty Individuals samples! So sorry, but hopefully they will add a little cheer to your day!

First is the little canvas I made, using 3 of the fishes.
Another of the fishes on this card, along with the older stamps that were on the show and some CI papers too.
Next we have those brilliant Dogs, who all look a bit worried, lol
and these two are feigning innocence I think
The fish can be teamed up very simply on a smooshed background.
The dogs look equally good stamped onto book paper or patterned paper...
or simply coloured.
finally, here are the shrink plastic earrings I made using the fish.

You can find all of the stamps, stencils and papers used to make these on the Crafty Individuals website. The fabulous fish and dog stamps designed by Sharron Bates are here.
Thank you so much for your kind comments. I hope to get round to visiting you at the weekend x
