Another Christmas card

Hi There! I am here with another step by step for this cute Christmas card. Here is how I made it.

I began by blending 3 colours of distress oxide ink across a 4" square of watercolour card.
Next I sprayed Fossilized Amber Distress Spritz through the Circles 1 big ones inkable.
When this was dry I stamped over the background using Distress oxide ink.
On a scrap of card, I stamped the gingerbread man 3 times and coloured with a combination of oxide ink and coloured pencils, before cutting them out.
I matted and layered the background to a 5x5" card and added the gingerbread men using foam pads.
Finally I added the sentiment using Versafine Clair ink.
Here is the finished card again....
and you can see the sheen from the distress spritz here.

I used:
Distress Oxide inks in Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Fired Brick, Lumberjack Plaid and Tea Dye
Big ones Inkable - Circles 1
Distress Spritz - Fossilized Amber
Versafine Clair Nocturne ink
5x5" card
4x4" watercolour card plus extra for the gingerbread men
Card for matting and layering
Foam pads

Snow Globe Sunrise

Hi there! Thought I would show you how I made this last minute Christmas card today.

I began by inking through the snow globe aperture with Wilted violet around the edge, Saltwater Taffy next, then mustard seed in the middle.
I removed the inkable and splattered with water, blotted, and then spattered with some white pearlized watercolour paint.
Once this was dry I stamped the text and snowflake corner stamps in opposite corners, and left to dry again.
I inked up the snowflakes, using versamark ink and heat embossed, using fine detail silver embossing powder.
Next I added a sentiment with versafine clair ink and matted and layered onto a base card.
Here is the finished card once more...
And here is a close up of an almost identical card but embossed in gold.
I used:
6x6" card blank
5.5" square of smooth white card
Distress oxide inks in Wilted Violet, Saltwater Taffy and Mustard seed
water/ pearlized paint/ mica powder  to splatter
Snow Blizzard stamp set (no longer available)
Distress ink in Spun Sugar
Versamark ink
Paper for matting and layering.

Cool Christmas card

Hi There! Thought I would show you how I made this simple Christmas card this week.

I began by blending Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord distress ink in the inkable. Then I splattered it with water and blotted it to get the snowy effect.
I used the small snowflake stamps from winter journaling girls and small words- winter around the frame using memento inks.
I inked up the doodle art Christmas tree using the memento inks with purple at the top, blue in the middle and teal at the bottom.
I used the same inks to watercolour some of the pattern and fussy cut around it.
I matted and layered the panel to a 7x7 card and used sticky pads to attach the tree to the bottom left corner.
Finally I added a sentiment to the bottom right, also on sticky pads.

I used:
Distress inks in Salty Ocean and Dusty Concord
Memento ink in Grape Jelly, Danube blue and Teal Zeal
White card
7x7" card blank

Snowy Robin Card

Hi There! Here is a step by step card as I rattle off as many christmas cards as I can, lol.

I began by stamping the robin and colouring him in using markers

Next I stencilled the snowflakes in broken China around the robin using the snowflake dinkable
On the base card I used the splatter dinkable to add some stickles gel through
next I stamped, coloured and cut out three lots of the foliage and added them to the robin's branch.
I used one of the Winter stickers , layered on a scrap of card....
and here is the finished card once more.
I used
Black ink (I used memento)
Markers (I used alcohol markers)

I will be live on the Bee Crafty Facebook page on Wednesday evening if you fancy joining me with a Mince pie and a glass of something warming x

A quick and simple Christmas card

Hi There! Are you beginning to panic a bit about Christmas yet? I have made very few cards so far this year and need to get a move on! Here is a very simple one to get me started.

I began by placing the circle from the 4" easy frame in the centre of a 13cm square card, Then placing the snowflakes multi inkable over the top, taping them down at the corners.
I used salvaged patina distress ink to blend through the stencil taking care to keep the circle central
I removed the snowflakes inkable and added more ink around the edge of the card and the edge of the circle.
I stamped the sentiment in the centre of the circle with versamark ink and heat embossed it with gold powder.
I stamped the poinsettia in black ink onto a scrap of card and coloured it using ecoline pens
I attached it to the card with ultra thick gel medium.
Finally I added the liquid pearls around the circle
Here is the finished card again.
I used
13cm square white card
Poinsettia Regular stamp set (discontinued but the XL one is here)
Versamark ink
On Wednesday I did a facebook live and created these cards.

You can find the live here if you haven't seen it yet.

Last minute Rudolf day and a digi from Dora

Hi there! I am flying in last minute with a single offering for Rudolf Day. I'm afraid that the end of February has crept up on me as always.

Here is my Christmas card made with Inkylicious stamps, a circle stencil and lots of nuvo drops, liquid pearls and stickles.

Do pop over to Mo's blog and take a look at the Christmas cards on display this month.

Here is my latest of Dora's wonderful digis - a gorgeous bunch of Daffodils, coloured with pencils, simply die cut and placed over a stencilled background using distress oxide inks and a Bee Crafty mandala inkable.

It has felt very spring-like here over the past few days we had a walk on Friday and saw lots of catkins and some pussy willow as well as crocuses and a few early daffodils. I hope you have seen some sunshine too.

Last Rudolf Days for 2020

Well here we are racing towards the end of November and things aren't very cheerful at the moment. It is definitely time to make some Christmas cards that will bring a smile to a few faces. Time for some brussel sprouts! I decided to make quite a few, but have just popped 4 on this post.  All stamps here are from Hobby Art and the stencils in the background are from Bee Crafty. I am entering these into Scrappy Mo's Rudolf day challenge in the hope I might cheer a few people up.
I do hope you like them and they make you smile...

even the rather risque one at the end 😉

Thanks so much for looking and for all your lovely comments!
