Cute!

Here is a card I made recently for a friend of mine. This is 'Milton with a daisy' (Wild Rose Designs), and although he is a bit too cute for my liking I know my friend will love him.  I have watercoloured him with my aqua markers. Although I love my promarkers, I am getting more and more into watercolouring. The papers were some that I bought from funky fairies when the they were closing down. I do love these two colours together! The lace was a donation from my lovely friend Lynne - Thank you! I thought it matched perfectly.

Cakes and Balloons at Tuesday Taggers

In honour of our teamie, Emma's birthday we are celebrating in style with cakes and Balloons at Tuesday Taggers this week. Emma is kindly offering a fabulous Stampin' up!selection of goodies as a prize (wish I could enter!). I've prepared a chocolate orange cupcake coloured with promarkers. The backing papers came from a Funky Fairies kit and the cupcake free digi download can be found here, a creation of the very talented Shaz. Thanks for looking and Happy Birthday Emma!

A mad dash mid panto!

Here are a couple of cards I've thrown together over the past few nights. I've been burning the midnight oil again, but I've no choice at the moment. It's panto week and I've been at school from 7.30 am to 8 pm two days on the trot. The head is off sick too, so I've been in charge. Anyway, I've NEEDED to craft (stress relief!)
The top card features a digistamp from craftsUprint, a site I discovered at the weekend. I have a friend who loves tigers and this was perfect for her birthday card. I coloured it with promarkers. Do tigers have green eyes? I'm not sure, but I think it looks okay.
The second card is for one of Megan's friends who plays the piano. I've used a digistamp from Digisparkle, coloured with promarkers and mounted on papers from the Funky Fairies 'lets get Traditional' range. I am so going to have earned my shopping trip to Sir Stampalot's demo day on Saturday with Lynne and Brenda! And those Promarkers too!

Passion for promarkers - Vintage

Here is my entry for this weeks passion for promarkers where the theme is 'vintage'. I looked through my Christmas stamps and found this one from Elusive Images. I've tried colouring it in the past with watercolours and coloured pencils, but not been satisfied with the results. Promarkers are perfect for it! I used marsh green, burgundy, ruby, mustard, moss and vanilla. The papers are from Funky fairies lets get traditional kit. I applied a bit of tea dye distress ink and stickles in the middle to finish it off. Thanks for looking!

DU2DS challenge 23 - Yellow, Orange and White

This is my entry for this weeks DU2DS challenge. I went for orange, yellow and white (rather than black). The image and papers are from Funky Fairies, although I don't think the cakes are available any more (They were a free download). I coloured them with promarkers. The papers are from the cupcake crazy kit, which is full of lots of lovely goodies! The punches came out again and I stamped the white flowers with Hero Arts long writing in Tangerine chalk ink.
It has been a very long week with two parents evenings, two courses and lots of other stuff, so I'm feeling very tired. I am really looking forward to half term so I can do some crafting and catch up on sleep! Thanks for looking.

Dare you to Digistamp challenge 20 - a recipe

This is my first entry for a DU2DS challenge. The recipe was:
  • one ribbon (a rare pink one from my stash)
  • Two patterned papers (both from the cupcake crazy set on Funky Fairies)
  • Three flowers (Prima with Papermania brads)
The cheeky monkey is from Dustin Pike. I've bought a couple of images from him recently with certain people in mind (particularly younger people). I coloured him with promarkers. The sentiment is a stamp from Graphicus. Thanks for looking!

Passion for promarkers - Cocoa and Rose Pink

Here is my offering for this weeks passion for promarkers. I can't believe it is week 12 already! Anyway, I used big flower stamps (Graphicus - big flowers unmounted theme plate) and coloured them in in Rose Pink and Cocoa, using just a bit of henna in the middles. I used Funky fairies paper (free download), a bit of copper tulip paint and a hint of diamond stickles.
I had just put the tulip paint on the first time when my craft knife rolled across it and spread it, so I had to start again. Second attempt is much better! Thanks for looking!

Flowers and Ducks

I stamped some flowers (Graphicus - Big Flowers unmounted plate) and took them on holiday to colour with promarkers. The patterned paper is from the Artylicious damask delights cd, and the other piece is cuttlebugged with the retro floral embossing folder.
I had forgotten I had this little stamp (Rubber Stampede) and thought it would look good coloured with promarkers. I was going to make them into baby cards, but then made them a little more ambiguous with a sentiment of 'with love'. The gingham papers are from funky fairies.

Some 'Blokey' Cards

I was asked by a friend to make some cards for the men in her life. Her Dad, brother, husband and brother-in-law all have a birthday in the next two weeks! I didn't have anything stamp wise that was suitable for what she had asked for, so I checked out some digistamps and found these at DigiStamp Boutique. He is called Jim and amazingly likes all the pastimes of my friend's men! You can download three image files for £1.99, then resize to whatever you need. Okay, so I had to have both sets, but I will get my money back on these five cards, so any more will be a bonus!
I coloured them all with my promarkers and used papers from funky fairies and from my stash. Several people at work expressed an interest, so I'll be making a few more to help my spend /sell balance to look a bit healthier!
All of the sentments were from Craftwork Cards. I am hoping to get round to something a bit more 'arty' over the weekend, although most of Sunday is going to be spent at Karate Gradings. I need to do 2 birthday cards, a silver wedding, a wedding and a leaving card... guess I'd better get cracking!

A Few Cuties.

Whilst my computer was away I went through a few sheets that I printed a while ago. These hippos are digistamps from Pink Petticoat and I knew they would go down well at work! The background papers were from Funky Fairies Doodlementals range. I thought they went quite well together! The other thing I did just before my old computer went was order three stamps from Whiff of Joy. I know I said I didn't do cute, but it was so nice to see a little girl depicted with a mouth, cos they do have them - very definitely!!! The mouse with a cake nearly as big as him made me think of one or two people, so I got him too, along with the girl baking cookies - a regular pastime with Meg these days! No card using the last one yet, but watch this space...

The background papers on these last two are from Canon Creative Park (mouse card) and my Artilicious Filligree Fusion cd.
