Karen Burniston New Release Sneak Peek - Day 3

Another one of the new die sets from Karen Burniston is an add-on to a previously released set, the Lorna Label Pop-up.  This one, Just a Note Lorna Add-ons, cuts a sentiment into the label.

And did you notice those stamped sentiments?  They are from two new coordinating sentiments stamp sets being released.

Buzzing By

I recently watched a video of a card that Karen Burniston made using the Lorna Label, on which she cut a frame into the label.  I thought it was so clever that I wanted to try it.

My card measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4".  As there is no word die for the "buzzing by," I used the KB Mini Alphabet & Numbers set for that part of my sentiment.  The bee on the front of the card is from the Flower Pot Pop-Up set.  He is placed at the center of three dies from the Circles - Crosshatch set.

I didn't think the honeycomb would be easily seen if it were placed directly on the floral background, so I cut a white label and placed it behind the frame.

Here is a close-up of the frame.  This bee and the honeycomb are part of the Flutter Charms set.

I'm very happy with the result of my experiment.

Buzzing By to Say Hello

I've got a cute little mini slimline card for you today -- using several Karen Burniston dies, the main one being the new Little Twist Panel.

The front of the card actually features several dies from the Flutter Charms set along with a sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps.  And, as you can see, I made a little shaker element out of the honeycomb die.

Also on the front are dies from one of the Border Blends sets and the hello die

The new die (the Little Twist Panel) is on the inside, along with a couple bees from the Flower Pot Pop-Up set.

I carried the Border Blends die-cut inside and added a couple of flowers from the Tiny Trees Pop-Up set to the flags.  The panel on which to sign the card was made using the Crosshatch Ovals.  Both patterned papers used on this card are from Honey Bee Stamps.

This is just a cute little card you could send to anyone just to say "hi."

Karen Burniston New Release Sneak Peeks Day 6

Today's sneak peek set is a word set, Word Set 15 - Just Because.  I have a relatively quick, simple card using this set.  I saw this layout on a card on Pinterest, and I really like it.  My sentiment is a play on words (or numbers).

Another card made with this set is a bit more creative -- using the new Label Charm Pop-Up as well.  I did a bit of "word surgery" on the sentiment, cutting the "because" apart and adding an extra "e."  I added a few very small black pearls in several places.

The panels on the inside are decorated with pieces from the previously released Flutter Charms set.  Along the bottom is one of the Border Blends - Trims.

Only two more days until these new dies are available for purchase.

CCEE2224 - National Insect Week

Lynn informed the CCEE Stampers that Juen 20-26 is National Insect Week.  She asked us to feature some type of creepy crawly creature on our design this week.

I don't really consider bees as "creepy crawly" creatures, but I did check to make sure they are considered insects (which they are).  My card this week is a mini slimline one featuring several brand-new dies from Karen Burniston.  That cute little bee and honeycomb are part of the new Flutter Charms set and the "Hi!" was made with the new Mini Alphabet and Numbers set.  I have been using that new alphabet set a lot -- I LOVE IT!  The frame was created using two dies from the new Short Rectangles - Crosshatch set.

Be sure to check out more creepy crawlies on the CCEE Stamper blog.

Day 7 Sneak Peek - Hi, There!

My final sneak peek of the new Karen Burniston dies is another Landscape Rectangle Accordion card with two panels -- one with a sentiment created with the Mini Alphabet and Numbers set and the other with a couple of butterflies from the Flutter Charms.

Sneak Peeks Day 5 - Happy B-Day

I have another Landscape Rectangle Accordion card to show you today, but this time it has three panels.  This one shows off the picture frames that come with the die set as well the bee and honeycomb dies from the new Flutter Charms set.

I added a few flowers from the Flutter Charms set as well as a couple of cute bee stamps.  The sentiment on the middle panel was created using the Mini Alphabet and Numbers set.

I love this set and will probably use it a lot.

CCEE2218 / KB New Release Day 4 - Hello Dragonflies

Today is National Foam Roller Day, and Kelly asked the CCEE Stampers to show our cards using any rolled technique!  Suggestions were paper rolling, brayers, marbles.  As it is also Sneak Peek Week for the new Karen Burniston dies, I made a card using some new dies -- plus a brayer technique I have never used before:  wrapping rubber bands around a brayer in order to make a unique background.

The new dies that I used are the Short Rectangles Crosshatch and Flutter Charms.  And I'm rather pleased with that background.

Be sure to visit the CCEE Stampers blog to see what the rest of the team did with this challenge and check out the new Karen Burniston dies as well.
