Especially super because it's the start of two weeks off work!
Not that I'll be going anywhere or getting much figure painting done - I'm using my time off for restoring my flat now that the building work and decorating is finished. Tomorrow I've got the rest of the rubbish being taken away (old furniture and stuff), then I'll be ordering some new furniture (bookshelves, dresser and TV unit for the living room, some bookshelves for my hobby workroom), putting them together and shifting them into place, getting my things back from the self storage facility and gradually unpacking all the boxes. Depending on how that goes, I might manage to make a start on the SYW Russian foot I primed last week.
Also super because I finished off the supers today. Yesterday I stuck them all onto 25mm washers and added some modelling paste to build up the washers to the level of the figure bases. Today I have been painting the bases and finishing the last three supers. As they've all had some work done, I decided to take pics of them together.
Dr E-Vil and the Dark Avenger
Ka-Pow and Mach-3
Dangeress and Fury
So, now they're done these will be making their way into the grubby mitts of my friend at work who will be using them for some games with his kids. Unfortunately, he may ask me to paint some more...

I must admit that I seem to be more of a painter/collector than a gamer, but do hope to correct that at some point in the near future. My gaming interests span the ages, from the "Biblical" era all the way through to the far future. I enjoy games of all sizes, from a handful of figures up to major battles (see my megalomaniacally sized Choson Korean and Russian Seven Years War armies).

Super Sunday!
Well, I did a bit more work on all the figures this afternoon, before focusing on three which were nearest to completion. And I've finished them. So, here are some pics:
The remaining three should be quite quick to finish so you might get another post tomorrow or on Tuesday to show them off..

Super Saturday
I've been taking things easy for the past few evenings (= no painting) to give myself a bit of a break after the SYW Russians. This weekend I'm making up for it bu cracking on with the Supers. I've made decent progress, with just one figure needing a lot more work to correct a cock-up I'd made with a wash after airbrushing the basecoat. See if you can guess which one.
Tomorrow I'll be carrying on, but might focus on one or two to take them to completion. The rest I'll complete during the week.
After these are done, my plan is to assemble and paint Tanya Tanker, the review figure I was sent by Raging Heroes. I won't be posting any WIP pics but might include some in my (eventual) review post. I still need to decide whether to leave her on a blank base, do my own basing or buy a suitable base topper and pin her to it.

Russian Musketeers Day 4
According to yesterday's post I was going to pop the musketeers off the painting sticks this evening. I didn't. That's because I popped them off this morning. That allowed me to glue them on the bases when I got home from work, then a few hours later I was able to add the basing gunk. that will allow me to do the drybrushing and flocking tomorrow night.
While I was waiting for the glue to set, I decided to get the supers ready for priming. First up I had to select which heads to put on them and then glue them onto the bodies. With that done I glued them onto some 25mm plastic bases for while I paint them. Then stuck them on top of some pill canisters with white-tack to make them easier to hold while painting.
I'll get out the airbrush set up later this week to prime them and maybe to do basecoats.
So, what colour schemes will I be painting them in? Well, Clint said that they'd make a great break from the SYW Russians, and I replied:
With the infantry, artillery, fusilier and hussar uniforms (cuirassiers and dragoon uniforms are ruled out because of all the buff - that's hardly a superhero colour now, is it?) I should be able to come up with some fun costumes.
