Project Purge: COMC and Other Fun

PROJECT PURGE:
COMC Submission
The Four Major Sports Groups
Updated: 29 FEB 2024

A little background: I've been on COMC (Check Out My Cards) since 2009. Over the years I've sold 67 cards there averaging 4 to 5 cards/year. That first year I sold 9 cards for a total of $24.90, the most I've sold in a year was 10 cards in 2015 for $4.45. Last year I sold 6 cards for a total of $6.55, this year so far I've sold my yearly average of 4 cards for only $1.45 total. One was a flipper card I bought from the site to test flipping (along with another card that I still have listed there). It took a little less than 3 years and I only made about 12 cents or less off of it.

I have bought a bunch of cards there as well. Interestingly enough I noticed that when I paid with a credit card vs paying with the site credit, the details of my order including the cards I bought are not included in my purchase/shipping history on the site.

Now onto the regularly scheduled post content:
I recently shipped 364 cards to COMC to add to the 150 cards I have there for sale already. It is only the second time I've sent stuff there to sell. The estimated processing finish date is in May. This batch of cards covered the four major US sports Baseball, Basketball, Football and Hockey. It included some chrome/refractor type cards a few Hockey relics, maybe an auto card or two. Half of the cards were basketball or at least a third. I used two small card boxes and put them in a larger box that was about the size of a medium USPS flat rate box of old. There were also some Topps Baseball dupes that I had from  the years 1978 to 1980 (50 cards maybe?). Some of the cards I sent were still on my collection page over at TCDB. I tried to delete them from there as I was preparing the lot of cards to send. Soon I will be adding more cards to my trade list over at TCDB. I also plan on semi-regularly submitting cards to COMC, not lots as large as this last one. I don't want to spend a fortune everytime I submit cards. I Just have to keep track of my credit balance over there to cover submission costs.

I checked the population of some CCG cards over at COMC. Specifically from 1995 Cardz Hyborian Gates. Years ago I had bought a large starter deck/box and some packs because I liked the art work. Never played the game, but planned on collecting the card set. I don't play any of those card games. For ages I thought I would save a handful of them that I really liked the art work on and try to sell the rest as a lot via Ebay, in looking at what is already at COMC I noticed there were only 16 of the cards (from 4 sellers). I think that will be the next batch of cards to send to COMC. "Com Cee" as some Youtube vloggers call it. I just call it "checkoutmycards". Com-Cee sounds strange to me, like a communications network company.

Over at TCDB my trade list there is my collection titled "Traders and/or For Sale".

COTW: Benchwarmer Dreamgirls Jessa Hinton

2015 Benchwarmer Dreamgirls 15 of 18 Jessa Hinton

Another end of the month, another Non-Sport Update Magazine Promo card featuring some random babe. The featured card is 2015 Dreamgirls Benchwarmer a promo card numbered 15 of 18. It seems to indicate that instead of just one lone promo card there were quite a few for this, so instead of collectors hunting down a single promo card they need to hunt for several for this set. I'm just guessing and speaking out of my you know where on this one. So here is the sexy woman on the pretty little trading card that was a bonus for subscribing to a silly magazine.

Blasting The Past: I Wonder Where It Stopped?

So a few years back I had a contest or two just for the fun of it in what I like to call "Random Acts of Cardness". I think most can figure out what that means. On one of those adventures I came up with this interesting piece:

Front of RAC Card

Back of RAC Card

The links at the end of this post give the full story and details, most of which I forget. The basic gist was I held a contest and then sent the winner of the contest some cards along with this homemade RAC (Random Acts of Cardness) Card. My original idea, as it starts to come back to me, was to start the card on a year long journey to as many card collectors as possible then back to me at year's end. Procrastination took hold of me and I didn't send the RAC out until Early Aug 2013. I Tracked it's progress along the way to see how many people had received it. If you remember getting it you're an OLD FART blogger. Kidding. It was only 3 years ago, Oops 4.

I had gotten the idea from some forum posts at TCC Both were a kind of "Pass it on"/"Pay it forward" type of ideas. One was an old site tradition of a wooden coin, or a lucky coin or something. I think it was a homemade thing that was hand-marked "TCC Lucky Coin" or something similar. Not sure cause I never got it. It had an index card that accompanied it on it's travels that the recipients were to write their name and where they were located. The idea of it was if you were lucky enough to get it you passed it on to another member at random. The lucky coin or whatever it was has long stopped somewhere unknown. That is what usually happens with these kind of things.

The other TCC post that prompted the RAC idea was called "The Chain". It was a "pick one card, leave one card" package. It soon morphed into a pick whichever cards you want so long as you replace them with an equal or greater number of cards. That would morph into including larger items and memorabilia at one time, which made future Chain packages have to make rules to limit what could be placed in the package. At one point there was a full 500+ card set, a signed baseball and maybe something else that added to the shipping cost of the package. For later rounds large items and memorabilia were banned from the package(s). The originator would send the package to the first person on the list, that person would choose a card or two, add a card or two equal to or greater than the count of what they took, then pass the package onto the next person on the list and so on. The person at the end of the list would ship the package to the originator of the package. A fun element was when the originator of the package listed the original contents (and possibly provided a picture or scans of the cards), and then by the time it got back to the originator what cards were in the final package.

As you can see from the tracking info below, it went halfway across the good old USofA, took a late summer vacation in Portugal (to see all the lovely lady cards I bet) back to the States and then in late December around Christmas time disappeared somewhere in the back alleys of Illinois. It may have made it out of that state, but me thinks it crossed da family somehow and is now swimmin' whit da fishes.

Here is how the unskilled trackers at CK42HQ shadowed shadowfly  followed The RACs journey:

START: Silver Spring, MD
03 Aug, 2013: Shipped to Channelview, TX
05 Aug, 2013: Arrival in TX
07 Nov, 2013:Arrival in Lisbon, Portugal (via Channelview, TX USA)
21 Nov, 2013: Back in the U.S.A. Norridge, IL
13 Dec, 2013: ? wherever GCRL is/was. IL?
23 Dec, 2013: Plainfield, IL
?
END: ?

Didn't reach Final Destination: Silver Spring, MD back at the end of 2013.

Does anyone know where the RAC Currently is?

Anyway there have been times I've thought of sending another of these things around. Maybe this time I won't ask for it to be returned just that it gets PAID FORWARD to other collectors and update me with a heads up to its current location from time to time?

Past Random Acts of Cardness Posts:
RAC Card Update: In The Bargain Bin

RAC2: Reminder - Any More Entries?
RAC2: Random Acts Of Cardness Part Deux
RAC1: Contest Winner (Plus a Bonus)
RAC1: Contest Over
Random Acts Of Cardness Contest Number 1

Guess I should show a card maybe two. OK maybe just one quick Card of the Whenever.

This card I have mentioned the cards I had gotten the same day as this one on 04 April 2017 my birthday in fact. At first I thought it was the same package but I double checked my mail day "blogs" and it was in a package by itself. I had to battle a little for it. It was from an Auction at Sportlots got it for $1.25 with $2.25 shipping.
1959 Topps Football: 126 Los Angeles Rams Pennant Team Card

Not sure what that "kids" name/signature is. Brian Room? Brian Rook? Brian Ross? Brain Room? Brian Junior? Brian Roo? Brian Root? anyway the name is blue ink scripted Brian something.

Blog Group Box Break: Da Randomizing

This post is the final new post about my Blog Group Box Break Basketball Edition All the boxes have been opened and the videos and recaps posted. Now all that is left is to do the randomizing of the unclaimed team's Rookies, parallels, inserts and Hits. Plus randomizing the multi-team cards owned by two members. That is covered in this post. Then everything gets packaged and shipped out soon (Hopefully this next weekend).

First the unclaimed parallels, rookies and inserts will be randomly assigned to members by team. Then the multi-team cards will be randomized between the two members who have the teams shown. Any of the multi-team cards that were two "unclaimed" teams will now have claims, if any of those are now just one person that member will automatically get the card no randomizing. Then the three remaining hits will be individually randomized.

So this is how things break down. Including myself we had only 5 group members but we had 17 claimed teams that breaks down to almost 3.5 teams per member (technically it is 3.4). There are 13 unclaimed teams. The list of teams will be matched up to a randomized list of break members. The number of teams claimed by a member will be his number of chances at that particular team or hit up for grabs. I will only be in the randomization for the unclaimed team assignments, not the final hits.

The randomizing was recorded on video and posted on YouTube.

Good Luck to all.

RANDOMIZED RESULTS BELOW:

Here is the list of Unclaimed teams: For the Rookies, Parallels (Gold, Red Backs etc...) and Inserts.

New Feature: Team Lot Mailing List

Want Cards From Your Favorite Team?
For Free?

Attention Team collectors!
Do you want to get cards from your favorite team?
At any time Out of the blue?

All you have to do is sign up for my "Team Lot Mailing List" by filling out the form on the right hand side bar (it should send me an email with your name and teams) Please make sure you include your mailing address along with your team in the main message field. I'll add you to a mailing list that I will refer to periodically and randomly pick someone to send a batch of cards to.

I will periodically send out cards from Baseball, Football, Hockey and Basketball. You can sign up for all 4 sports if you wish. You can also sign up for 2 teams from the same sport, but most of the time I will just send one team to keep me from getting confused while pulling cards to ship out.

The cards will be from random years. They could be fairly new cards or they could be vintage cards, or anywhere in between. Any and all brands will be included as well. Sometimes inserts and higher end cards might be included. The amount of cards will vary also. Sometimes just a small poker hand of 5 or 6 cards or sometimes a huge lot of 100 or more. You will never know exactly what will come your way. I won't know until I cram the cards into a bubble mailer.

Due to postage rates I can only guarantee shipping to the US and Canada. If you live in another country please contact me first before signing up. Non-US packages will not be as often but will almost always be big batches.

Right now I have Basketball cards I need to purge.

You don't have to send anything back in return, but I realize some people feel obligated to reciprocate from time to time so if you just have to return the favor My teams are the Washington and Baltimore teams. Plus you can check out my Master Want List and What I Collect page to cater stuff to me.

Washington Wednesday: Funny Sonny Mystery

A Funny Sonny Mystery

Some months back {looking in email history and saved text messages*} I had gotten an email from someone with an offer to sell me a card. I'll call him "Bob" to protect the guys identity and spare some of the embarrassment. In addition I couldn't remember his name until I located my communications with him.

Out of the blue I get this email from "Bob":

"My grandfather left me certain baseball and football cards including a Sonny Jurgensen from the 1969 season. His # was 6 and was QB for the redskins. He was the leading passer in the NFL in 1969. The card is probably 1970 T.C.G. It also has an autograph on it but I doubt that its real. Would you like to purchase it? I can take pictures of it with my phone and send it to yours to prove that it's real or I can sell it to someone else. Its up to you."

OK he got my interest, one of my all-time fave players and a vintage card probably signed in person sometime within the last 40 years. I let his comment about Sonny being number six slip. Probably should have torn him a new one for that, but I'm a nice guy. Actually it turns out #6 was the card number, good thing I didn't go all Chuck Norris on the guy. OK so I had to find out what this was all about.

I replied:
"Yes I am interested in it and yes I would like to see pics of it first."

Bob:
"Took the pics just need a number to send them to
My number is  xxx-xxx-xxxx"

He sent a blank Message asking for me to send him my cell number.

I don't normally do text stuff like I said but I replied:

"My cell number is xxx-xxx-xxxx"

Bob replies:
"Hope u got the two pics. As u can tell they're in good condition and the real deal so whats ur offer cause I'm dealing with several people on this card"

The rest of this conversation took place with text messages.

"Bob" said:
"Good right?"
and
"What do u think?"

'Bob' sent a couple of pics of the card (I cropped them here a little).
Cell phone picks of the card, I got a kick out the back "dining room table w/Mom walking in" shot. That at least is what it looks like. Also looks like there is one of those weird white-fade-out dots on the back or it's paper loss. The black spot on the bottom I think is the shadow of his thumb.

Seeing these pics I said:
"Yes very cool. It is a 1970 Topps "Super" or Giant"
At the time I couldn't remember if Topps called them Super or Giant they call them Super.

So he says: "I know and there's only 35... Its in great shape so what do u think?"

My comeback that goes for the jugular.
"I have one already in just as good shape as that one. I have to burst your bubble there were way more than 35 made, and the "autograph" is one of those facsimile autographs. Its worth about $5-$10."

He concludes the conversation with a simple "Ok. Later"

Here is my copy of the card:
1970 Topps Football Super 6 Sonny Jurgensen Redskins
(Front and Back)
So yeah the guy thought that this card: was more special than it was. He thought it was number 6 of only 35 special Sonny Jurgensen cards, or he was playing me for the uninformed super fan who didn't know his card history.

*For the record I rarely text message. I receive text Messages from the Nationals for the game updates and I have entered the occasional contest via text like when NBC had that game show "Deal Or No Deal" and had a win from home thing where you picked a case (out of 4 they showed on the screen) and then text in the number with your guess and if you picked the right number you had a chance to be picked randomly from the right guesses. Oh and when I'm waiting for a tow truck I let AAA text the 4 digit call number for my situation.

Organizing Some Random Thoughts

A while back now, in reading a post about organization from a fellow card blogger Mike (member of TCC and a Facebook Pal) on his card blog, he also has a comics/toy collecting blog which was his original catch-all blog, I was reminded of an organizing rant post I did in November of last year (2012). His dilemma is frighteningly similar to mine. Years and years of having cards in boxes (or elsewhere) not organized or semi-organized and needing to be put in binders or displayed in someway. Apparently we are not alone in being overwhelmed by a hoard of cards. Colby over at Cardboard Collections  sometimes feels defeated. Oh and for those who didn't know Greg The Night Owl is NOT a pack rat (but he might play one on TV) here is his proof.  I'm not either, but I don't have any proof to disprove it yet. I'm lazy and organizationally challenged. Ironically when I was a kid I was a neat freak, I think public school corrupted me. So being disorganized can sometimes be a common enough feeling.

In my previous post (mentioned in the paragraph above) the first part was another kind of rant when I was in a bit of a funk about the hobby and wondering "Why?" then I settled down some and talked about an idea I have had for a while, but is not very practical.
The idea was this: Have a service company that will sort and organize your cards for you. The basic premise is for collectors to send their collection, or the unorganized part of their collection they want/need organized with instructions on how they want it organized (by brand/by year/by team or whatever). The service then sorts the cards and puts them in boxes or binders based on the instructions, and service level purchased. It would probably make extra money selling the supplies or at least the binders, or heck supplies cost could be figured into the processing/organizing fee.

This would not be a grading/authorizing/verification/slabbing service there are plenty of those kinds of services. I haven't thought all the details out on if graded cards would or could be entered into the mix, probably not.

An obvious problem would be the cost of shipping cards in those volumes. More so on the company sending out the neatly organized collection in spiffy new binders (or boxes). Keeping a huge inventory of all the needed supplies would initially be a pain: Having a large inventory of the right kind of binder, the binder pages, penny sleeves toploaders, card boxes.

Then there is the space needed while organizing. A nice clear table large enough to hold a bunch of cards and some assorted supplies. There might have to be some sort of limit to the number of cards sent to be organized at a time "x" number of 5000 card monster boxes worth.
For right now I need to actually start doing all the sorting, organizing and proper storing of my own card hoard first. I have a problem of knocking down card piles and having to restack them and in the process their original "order that they came in" gets totally messed up. Someone else blogged about knocking over leaning pile towers of cards some months back sorry I forget who it was. Messy unorganized apartments don't help either.

hmm. I stumbled upon this link: "How to Organize Your Trading Cards" It is a "Simple" guide to organizing your cards too simple. Sadly it is way too simple and looks to be geared toward beginning collectors not seasoned collectors that are re-organizing for the zillionth time. There are other "similar" links including this one: "How to Organize Baseball Cards". Again not really for seasoned collectors ((Sigh!))

Another problem I have that contributes to my collection not being totally organized is my backlog of neat and fascinating cards and oddball sets that I have waiting in the wings to be blogged about. I have one set that I started a post about. I don't remember when I first wrote it up. I have updated it several times, and I still need to get the cards scanned. I had to add the set to zistle since it was such an oddball set.

RAC: RAC Card Tracking

Random Acts Of Cardness Card Tracking:
 (Newest entry first)

Monday 23 December 2013: Jeff of 2x3 Heroes received the RAC card via Jim (GCRL) sounds like it was a drive by, I mean in person pass off. As the year is winding down there might be one more pass off not sure since the year end holidays are upon us.

Friday 13 December, 2013:
Just got an email from Jim at gcrl saying he had received the card via Nick's Dime Box. Man I so wish I had started this thing closer to the beginning of the year, things seem to be picking up steam.

Thursday 21 November, 2013:
The RAC Card has returned from visiting Ana on it's Vacation in Portugal (I hope it took some cool pictures) and is back in the U.S., back in the U.S., back in the U.S...A. with Nick from Dime Boxes. It has a little over a month before heading home.

Thursday 07 November, 2013:
WooWhoo! The RAC Card seems to be taking a winter holiday in Europe. I got an email from Ana Lu of the Hobby Cards Europe blog. She lives in Lisbon, Portugal the RAC Card made its way to her via Commishbob. Thank you Ana for the update and thank you Bob for paying it forward overseas.

Monday 05 August, 2013:
Finally I got this into the mail this past Saturday (03 August 2013) heading to the winner of my RAC2 Contest Commishbob. Yes I was procrastinating some, I procrastinate in just about everything dealing with cards for some unknown reason. I sent him some cards that he should be receiving/has received today according to USPS Package Tracking Service (was "Delivery Confirmation"). There was nothing too spectacular some vintage and some newer Orioles cards. Hopefully there are at least one or two cards he didn't already have. Hopefully he can Pay Forward the RAC Card to someone soon, and I'll hear from that person about the card status.

I originally thought I would be on top of things and have almost a year for this "Pay It Forward" RAC Card experiment, but with all my dilly and dallying it will only be a little more than 4 months.Hopefully those who receive the card will follow the instructions and keep me updated when they receive the card, and it will be returned to me sometime in January. I'm not expecting to have any cards come with it, but who knows there might be some.

I will keep track of where the card has been. The only mention of "who" has it will be int my updates above. If given the sending dates I'll include those below, if not the dates will just be date received.

Sending Out?

Right now I have lots of cards on the table (figuratively and literally), doing all sorts of things, including thinking of putting together some card care packages for a few folks in the blogiverse. I've got to double check some addresses and recheck some blogs, or contests, or past trade agreements to make sure I'm sending some of the type of stuff folks like. If they don't like the stuff well then it isn't my problem anymore then is it? I'm not making any promises to anyone right now, this isn't a card forum where those rules are strict. That is one of the things I need to stop doing, trades on forums. I'm still involved in a few group breaks on a few of them which does pose a little bit of a problem there. Lately group breaks are the only way for me to get some of the very new stuff for my teams, especially the high-end stuff. Plus I'm a bit addicted to watching some (not all) of the breaks on video.

Anyway I really should get rid of more stuff than the little I'm planning on sending out. Some of it I need to see what it is before I know what to do with it. My football stuff is really a gridiron monster that I try not to feed too often. I really want to get rid of a bunch of team lots of almost all the sports. I am starting with the Basketball I am currently going through. So hey if you don't mind random cards from random years, brands, players etc... some in great shape some in, well not so great shape. You might want to send me an email to my Yahoo addy klandersen and tell me which sport/teams you are really into. If you send me your mailing address you might get something in the next few weeks, or in the fall, or maybe never. You can also check my small  Trade Stuff page to see if there is anything you like there. Who knows?

OK so now here is where I post something totally random just to finish this post off and make everybody wonder what I am really up to.

I was going to post only this, but when I saw the picture that follows still in my pics folder on my hard-drive I thought why not? So you get a bonus pic, lucky you.

The WINNER of the brand new car (OOPS sorry no car) is COMMISHBOB!
Congratulations Bob. Please contact me soon with your mailing address and a list of wants, stuff you collect  and I'll start looking for some stuff to send you. No guarantees of how many cards/memorabilia will be included or how big or small the package will be. I know you are a vintage guy so I'll see what creased old water damaged stuff I can send you. Just kidding about the water damage, I'll try to find some decent conditioned stuff to send. OH and don't forget I will be including this:
So be sure to have an envelope nearby to shove it into to Pay It Forward to someone.

Thank you to all who entered this contest and thank you for your patience in my lamebrain  delay.

Update: State of the Blog (Sort of)

Just a quickie update to let folks know I haven't fallen off the face of the Earth (yet). No I have not forgotten about the RAC Card contest I am holding (held?). I haven't randomized the names of those who entered yet. I'm in a trading card funk, a pretty big one. I have had many other things on my plate of life and I really haven't cared that much about trading cards these last few weeks. Well maybe "not caring" is not really the right phraseology, but yeah a funk is a funk. I still have some cards coming in (I just paid for some Sportlots auction wins) and I am still active on several of the forums I'm involved with but I haven't been keeping up with the administrative portion of collecting lately. That means I haven't updated my blogs lately, I haven't forum blogged about my 3 most recent maildays, I haven't checked my collection vs. wantlists on offers of trades. I haven't scanned stuff (that isn't much of a difference anyway). I have only partly added some of those cards from my recent maildays into zistle. I'm still thinking about some of the future posts I'll write, or want to write eventually.

I don't know when I will actually do some of the stuff I need to do. Recent car problems have sort of sidetracked me knowing when I'll next get to the Post Office on a Saturday to mail anything out.

I'm not sure why I decided to post this or even write it up in the first place. I guess I just wanted to let people know that even though I have been a bit inactive I am still thinking about and am concerned about a few of my card commitments (or perceived commitments)

RAC2: Reminder - Any more entries?

Just checking to see if anyone else wants to enter. The clock is still ticking on this and the alarm could go off at any second...OK it hasn't yet I thought it had for a second there. For details see my Random Acts Of Cardness Part Deux post.

RAC2 - Random Acts of Cardness Part Deux

RAC2 and the Journey of The RAC Card
(or the Pay It Forward Edition)

I figured it was time again for a "Random Act of Cardness". I need some more good Karma anyway so I might as well also give some.

To Enter all you gotta do is:
1) Comment: Yep that is it just post a comment to this contest post and you will be entered for the random drawing.
2) Follow My Blog: If you already follow this blog, then great you don't need to do anything else (unless you are the random winner) If you don't already follow my blog please do so you never know when I'll commit another "Random Act of Cardness" (I won't always announce RACs on the blog).

Extra Added Fun:
Feel free to spread the word about this contest and to pimp it.

Enter Now while you are reading this because anytime between now and the end of March I will randomly (via random.org) pick a winner from the list of folks who have entered . I will then post the winner and request their mailing address and card collecting info (team/players/set whatever their collecting habits are). I will try to send some fun stuff from what the winner collects, plus some random stuff of course.

Now here is the hard part, I am going to try to track the pay it forward ripples from this random act of cardness for the entire year. I will include with the package a special marked decoy card (blank, dummy, teaser, sucker) aka: "The RAC Card".

I request that the winner will then at some random yet relatively short period of time randomly send my decoy card to someone else to "pay it forward". Perhaps they will slip it in with a random trade or in their own contest. Then hopefully that next person who receives the RAC card will contact me so I can track where the RAC card has been, and then they will pay it forward.

This might not work, but lets try it.

As always if you want to trade (or just gift me) my teams are Nationals/Senators, Orioles, Redskins, Rams, Capitals and Pre-1980 vintage, OK and Bullets/Wizards. I am mostly concentrating on the baseball right now. You can check my Zistle to see what I already have cataloged in and don't need, plus my master want list has some of what I am still looking for. I am trying to get all my lists updated, but I think there is still a very long way to go. I also do some Non-Sports, mostly sci-fi and the pre 1,000s of inserts and sub-sets (Pre-late 1990s) years. The Non-Sport is my most picky I think. I tend to be more whatever attracts my eye with Non-Sport.

Group Break Status Update 5 Feb 2013

Blog Group Break Update:
OK so the break is as full as it's going to get and is Now officially "filled". Technically I could have waited some more and tried to fill one maybe two more spots but I'm getting impatient and have enough people to still make the break fun for all (hopefully). With the number of members/slots vs. number of teams left (and me not taking extra random teams) it looks like everyone will get an additional random team. That is 4 teams total (1 Chosen + 3 Random).

It is time to get those payments in via Paypal or into the mail whichever way you are planning. If you haven't done already please send me your mailing address. I have a few addresses and a payment, but not all of either yet.

I will do the randomizing of the bonus teams shortly after this post. I will also start a post that I will use as the "official break page" and link to it on the right-hand sidebar.

The first box will open tomorrow night (Wednesday 06 Feb 2013) around 9:00 PM EST. I will first break it live via Ustream.com (my user ID is captkirk42 there as well, with the exception of some earlier memberships on a site or two my CaptKirk42 ID is pretty much universal for my memberships). If you can watch the video live great if not it will be saved for viewing. After I do the video I will do a pack-by-pack play-by-play post.

Up First:
2007 BOWMAN
24 packs per box, 10 cards per pack
Key Rookies:
Alexi Casilla
Daisuke Matsuzaka
Hideki Okajima
Andrew Miller
Ryan Braun
Elijah Dukes.
