Inspiration Station Challenge #5

Hello and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge at Inspiration Station and designs are based on your intrepretation of the inspiration photo.  The inspiration photo is a beautiful outdoor table, set for a garden party, next to a swimming pool.

In creating my design team project, I went back and forth with how this inspired me.  I decided on a 5" square card with an outdoor theme:

An outdoor picnic to be more specific...and what goes with a picnic?  Bugs!  The images and designer paper are from a Hero Arts kit from last year.  I used the Gina K. Designs Wreath builder and the Misti Stamping tool to create the round pattern, stamping and rotating every 1/4 turn.  I then colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

But I wasn't finished...I added dimensional puffy sticker ants and heart embellishments, also from the same Hero Arts Kit.  The sentiment is from a new to me Cardz TV sentiment stamp set.

What's so fun about this challenge is the intrepretation of the photo is your own.  And a great brain workout!  Please join us this round at Inspiration Station.  We would enjoy seeing your intrepretations of the inspiration photo!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Harvest Wreath - Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

Hello and Happy Fri-YAY!  I had a little time on my hands today so I created a different take on a wreath.  Today's make and share features Autumn Stamps, Distress Inks and a Wreath Builder Template.

First, the inspiration for the card came from a Jennifer McGuire You Tube video.  I used the Gina K. Designs Wreath Builder Template and the Autumn Wreath Builder Stamp set to create an off-set wreath.  I started with a 5" square piece of card that I would trim down to fit my A2 sized card; I like the look of images going off the edge.

I haven't taken the plunge to invest in a line of colored Dye inks for stamping and blending (I'm waiting for hubby to ask for my Christmas list) so I used Distress Inks in various colors; I have the entire line of the Distress Inks.  For a final touch, I added tiny Gold Gems for interest and sparkle.

Thanks for visiting and until next time, Happy Crafting!
