Snowball Fight

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday! I hope your week went well and you have some time to be crafty this weekend.  It's turned a bit colder again, so it seems Winter isn't done with us yet.  With the colder weather in mind, I have a quick share for you today featuring a darling Pig with her Snowballs from Last Minute Manda.

I've colored the using alcohol markers, the patterned papers are from Time for Tea Designs.  I've cut the focal panel using a stitched rectangular nesting die and popped on foam pads.  The sentiment is from Penny Black and has also been popped on foam pads.

Classic Design Challenge #01-2025

Hi Friends, it's the 15th of the month and that signals a new challenge month at The Classic Design Challenge Blog.  Our generous sponsor this month is SheepSki Designs and our Optional Twist is Winter Fun.

I've used the "Snow Happy" Digital image to create my card, and this snowman is definitely having a bit of Winter Fun creating Snow Angels!

There's not much coloring needed for a Snowman, just a few pops of color and a bit of shading to help him appear more round.  It's hard to see in the photo but I've highlighted the snow and "motion lines" with Crystal Stickles, so there would be glistening snow in the scene.

I almost added a few sequins but they just didn't look right, so I've left them off.  The patterned paper is from a 12x12 paper pad from Color Blok, which I've had in my stash for at least 10 years (I have so much designer paper, I forgot I had this pad..for shame, for shame!).  The sentiment is from the "Snowflake Season" Stamp Set by Penny Black.

That's all I have for today.  The team and I hope you'll visit us at The Classic Design Challenge, where the theme is Always Anything Goes with Optional Twists.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Warm Wintery Wishes

Hello and Happy Friday!  We've made it to the weekend and I hope you're staying warm and toasty, lots of snow and ice in the Northern Hemisphere.  I would like to take a moment to mention and send prayers to all those affected by the horrific Fires in California.  It looks apocalyptic!

I have a quick share today featuring a Sweet Snowman and Penguin friend sharing some Wintery Hugs.  The image is from Bugaboo Stamps and I've colored using Alcohol markers.

It seems teal and pink are all the rage recently, so I couldn't resist going with that color combo in my card.  The papers are from a holiday/winter pack from Scrapbook.com. The sentiment is part of the digital set, but unfortunately Bugaboo Stamps is no more and I miss them!  Jody, I hope you are well and maybe one day, you'll share your art with us again.

The focal panel and sentiment have been cut using stitched nesting dies, the sentiment has been popped on foam pads for dimension.  Lastly, I've added sequins for additional interest and shine.  That's all I have for you today.  Have a fabulous weekend, until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Snowman

Hello and Happy Thursday to you! It's a gloomy, overcast day here in Florida so what better way to spend the day than to wrap Christmas Prezzies, drink Hot Cocoa and do a bit of cardmaking?  I have a quick share for you today featuring the Happy Snowman Stamp Set from Penny Black #30-503.  I went with a CAS design on this one.

He's truly a Happy Guy, especially since it's snowing.  I've colored him with alcohol markers, and it's very hard to see in the photo but I've splattered the panel with Dr. Ph. Martin's White Ink and spritzed with Shimmer Mist.

The sentiment is included in the stamp set, and this image is so versatile.  You can use to make a holiday or winter card, I've went with a holiday theme, my Merry Christmas message is inside.  That's all I have for today, I hope you have a fantastic day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Classic Design Challenge #12-2024 Anything Goes with Optional: Happy Holidays

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  The 15th of the month saw the opening of a new challenge at The Classic Design Challenge Blog.  We have 3 generous sponsors this month:  Keen Crafter Designs, Sheepski Designs and Dr. Digi House of Stamps.

For my team project, I've colored up the "On the Fence" No. 278 digital image from Sheepski Designs.  This image is versatile and can be used for Christmas or Winter cards.  I've chosen to go with a Winter theme.

I've colored the image using alcohol markers, the papers are from a 6x6 paper pack by Alina Crafts.  I've cut the focal image using a scalloped edge oval nesting die, also from Alina Crafts.

The sentiment is from the Snowflake Season stamp set from Penny Black.  I have popped the strip on foam pads for dimension. Before calling this card complete, I splattered with a white Posca pen to replicate Snow.

The team and I hope you'll join in and share your projects with us this month, and we hope to inspire you with our projects.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Winter Snowbird

Happy Thursday Friends!  I have a quick share for you today featuring another older red rubber cling stamp.  This one is the Winter Snowbird from Stampendous and it's from the year 2015.  It still stamps beautifully and I love using it every Christmas and Winter Season.

I've colored the winter scene using Prismacolor Pencils.  The focal image has been die cut using a fancy edge stitched oval die and the patterned paper is from Alina Crafts.

The focal panel has been adhered flat to the patterned mat, the sentiment strip, which is from a pre-packaged set of holiday strips from Simon Says Stamp, has been popped on craft foam.  Lastly, I've added Alene's True Snow to the branch and berries for an even more festive vibe.

I hope your day will go as planned and you're getting into the holiday spirit.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The New Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #1

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday!  I'm excited to announce that today begins a new challenge month at the new Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  This is a new monthly challenge that focuses on florals.  There will be a moodboard provided as inspiration, the main focal/focus of entries must be flower related and you can enter up to 8 times a month.

The challenges run from the 15th of the month to the 12th of the following month.  There will be a Randomly chosen winner and Top 3 picks each challenge with occasional prizes being awarded.  The moodboard for this month is as follows:

This is a great moodboard to get the ball rolling for this cold January.  It's a monochromatic winter color palette with lovely images.  For my design team project, I've used the Exotic Tulips Layering Stamp and Coordinating Die Sets from Altenew to create a sweet and simple card design.

To start, I've ink blended a panel using Catherine Pooler "Sand Castle" ink.  I've stamped the floral layers using graduated shaded of blue inks from Altenew, the leaves were stamped using 2 shades of Catherine Pooler grays and all pieces cut using the coordinating floral dies.

Before assembling the card, the blended panel was splattered with diluted Sand Castle ink and White Gloss Acrylic Spray.  The sentiment, from the Creative Expressions "Festive Script Sentiments Stamp Set" was stamped using Memento Rich Cocoa ink and silver gems from Kat Scrappiness were added as a final touch.

I hope you will visit The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and check out what my teammates have created for this challenge.  They have created some stunning projects and I hope you'll play along with us.  We look forward to seeing how you are inspired by the moodboard.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Gnome Festive Fun

Hello and Happy Tuesday!  I have a fun share for you featuring a couple of adorable little characters.  The image is the Gnome Festive Fun digital stamp from Polkadoodles

I've been working hard at getting all my Christmas Cards completed.  This happens to me every year and why do I not prepare...like Christmas in July?  I have no excuse..I'm just a slacker LOL!

This is such an adorable image, Polkadoodles is one of my favorite designers and I especially like the Snowmen and Gnome images.  I've colored this pair using Spectrum Noir Illustrator Alcohol Markers and the papers are from the "Winter Wonderland" 6x6 paper pad by Doodlebug Design.

I've used more of that Cricut Glitter tape that has been in my stash for at least 4 years...and I have loads of it.  The focal panel was cut using a Nesting Stitched Rectangle Die from Kat Scrappiness and purple gems were added as an accent.

Thanks for visiting me today!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - Snowboardin'

Happy 4th of July to you and welcome back!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and our sponsor this round is the generous Sheepski Designs.  For my design team project, I've colored the Snowboardin' Image No. 164 using alcohol markers.

I love snowman images, I collect them so it was a treat to use this image.  Although this isn't a holiday card in particular, I've used it so I can say Happy Christmas in July!

The papers are from the Doodlebug "Winter Wonderland" 6x6 paper pad and the sentiment was computer generated by me.  The focal panel was die cut using an oval die and popped on craft foam for dimension.  For the finishing touch, I've added light blue gems for that extra bit of sparkle.

Please visit and join in the challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  We love seeing all the entries and appreciate the participation!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Four Seasons Challenge Blog - Winter Theme

Hello All and Happy 1st Day of February.  Today begins a new challenge month at the Four Seasons Challenge Blog with our continued theme of Winter.

Based on the inspiration photo, I've created a Valentine's Day Card for my hubby using the "new to me" layering Heart Builder Stencil from Altenew.  He loves all the cards I create for him and he actually saves them.  He's a great guy and so supportive of my crafting.

My card measures 5.5" square and I've stenciled the background using Catherine Pooler inks.  The large heart was die cut from glitter card using one of the newest heart die sets from Kat Scrappiness and the sentiment is also from Kat Scrappiness.

The Gingham ribbon is from Gina K. Designs and is lovely against the red and pink heart background.

We would love to have you share your winter themed projects with us this month at The Four Seasons Challenge.  Hope to see you there!  Until next time, Happy Crafting.

January Challenge - The Four Seasons

Happy New Year's Day!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog and our theme of Winter continues.

For my design team project, I used the "Stop Dachshund Around" Stamp and Coordinating Die Set from Time 4 Tea Designs to create a fun winter themed card.

I have 2 Dachshunds; Roxie and Stella.  My Stella was the inspiration for this Pup as she is a "Red" so using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, I colored up the image.  The focal background was ink blended using Distress Oxide Inks and die cut.

The papers are also from Time 4 Tea "Winter Wonderfland" 6x6 paper pad, snowflake embellishments, also from Time 4 Tea, were added and the sentiment was stamped and heat embossed.   Lastly, a bit of twine was added and the focal along with the semtiment strips were popped on craft foam for dimension.

That finished my winter card for this challenge.  Please stop by The Four Seasons Challenge blog and enter to win!  Happy New Year and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies - We Are 3 Digital Papers

Hello and Happy Monday!  I'm back to announce a new challenge week has started at the Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge Blog!  Our sponsor this round is the generous We Are 3 Digital Shop.

For my design team project, I've created a holiday themed card with a New Year Wish using the Winter Digital Paper Pack from We Are 3 and the Big World Stamp and Coordinating Die Set from Altenew.

The Globe is a layering set with stamps for all the continents.  The coordinating dies cut the Earth image and the Stand.  I stamped the image using Catherine Pooler inks, cut the globe stand out of silver mirror card and used a digital paper as the base panel.  The paper has a ripple design which reminds me of the ocean.

I've heat embossed the sentiment and added embellishments from Kat Scrappiness.  This completes my DT project, please visit the Challenge Blog at Pammie's to see what my teammates have created for this last challenge of 2021.  Merry Christmas and may there be Peace, Love and Joy for us all in 2022.

Unil Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Krafty Chicks GDT - Clean and Simple

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Thursday!  Today begins a new challenge week at The Krafty Chicks Challenge Blog.  The theme this week is Clean and Simple (CAS).  I'm guest designing with the Team and I've created a CAS Winter/Holiday themed card.

I've used the "Warm Hands" Layering Stamp Set from Waffle Flower  and Catherine Pooler Inks in shades of Blue to create a CAS card.

The card has no bells and whistles other than a black mat to accent the main panel.  This is a lovely set but it did throw me off when I first stamped it.  It seemed to not stamp properly so I went to Waffle Flowers' website and watched a video for the set.  It was designed to not stamp in areas, so I felt much better than it wasn't my technique but rather how the stamp was created.

Stop by the Krafty Chicks Challenge this week!  We would love to see your CAS creations.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge November Mid-Month Inspiration

Hi Friends and Happy Monday!  I hope your weekend was nice.  We are having cool temps here in Florida so I suppose this is our Autumn...for a few days anyway.

Today is Mid Month Inspiration at the Jan's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog.  The challenge is monthly however the team creates additional inspiration on the 3rd Monday of the month.  For my mid-month inspiration project, I've created a Holiday card using the Baby, It's Cold Outside digital stamp.  This stamp set is also On Sale 'till Christmas along with many others.

I've colored the images with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the designer paper is from the Carta Bella "Christmas Market" 6x6 paper pad.

I've used a mat of gold mirror card, added Crystal Stickle, Wink of Stella and sequins to add interest, sparkle and shine.  I've even stamped the Cocoa/Coffee Mugs with tiny snowflakes.

Please stop by the Challenge Blog to see the team inspiration and go ahead and enter the challenge.  We would love to see your designs!  A new monthly challenge will start 06 December so until then, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Anything Goes

Hello Friends and Happy Monday!  Today begins a new challenge week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  The Sponsor this round is CAS_ual Fridays Stamps.   For my design team project, I've created a Winter or Holiday themed card using the Snowflake Stencil and a sentiment from the Snow Angel Stamp Set; which seems to be Retired and was only available as part of a Black Friday Sale in 2019.  I found a picture of the set on the My Kraft Kloset Blog.

To create my card, I heat embossed the sentiment using fine detail white powder and stenciled using Hero Arts Unicorn White ink.

When the ink was dry, I adhered to a panel of silver mirror card, added liquid adhesive and applied extra fine Cotton White glitter to the falling "snow".  Lastly, all was adhered to a card base of Neenah Classic Crest Solar White 110 lb. card.

That finishes my card for today.  I hope you're inspired to create a Winter themed card and will join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge - Sheepski Designs

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome to Monday.  Today begins a new challenge at Pammie's Inky Pinkies and the sponsor this round is Sheepski Designs.  For my design team project, I went with a Winter theme.

Using the Snow Happy Digital Stamp, I created an A2 Top Folding card that could easily be turned into a holiday card using a seasonal sentiment on the inside.

Snowmen are my favorite Winter and Holiday images to use and this guy is just the sweetest isn't he?  I kept the design fairly simple, only using a few alcohol markers to color him in.  I covered him in Wink of Stella, which is hard to see here, but he is sparkly.

Aside from the Wink of Stella, the only other embellishment I've used is a dyed piece of seam binding tied into a bow.

Please join us this week at Pammie's Inky Pinkies Challenge Blog!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Humor Me Wednesday at Catch the Bug

Hello and Happy Wednesday!  Today is Humor Me Wednesday at Bugaboo Stamps Catch the Bug Blog.  For those who don't keep up on such facts, today is also Penguin Awareness Day.  In honor of Penguins and Humor Me Wednesday, I've created a fun card featuring Poppi Penguin with his Scuba Gear.

I've used Stitched Rectangle Dies from Kat Scrappiness for cutting the focal image and mats, colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and created the sentiment on the computer.  No bells and whistles added except for a small amount of Wink of Stella to the water puddle and the goggles.

Poppi is not allowing Winter to stop him from enjoying a bit of snorkeling and isn't shy about his feelings towards Winter....strange feelings for a Penguin!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Blue Winter Flourish

Hello and Happy Thursday.  Today's post is a short and sweet one featuring a Winter Wishes / Holiday card featuring a sweet winter bunny and heat embossing.

The image topper is from The Paper Pantry Vol. III titled A Sprinkle of Winter.  I die cut the image from the larger topper with a circle die and mounted on foam pads.  The background was created by heat embossing a stamp from the Gina K. Designs Holiday Tapestry set and inking over the entire panel with shades of blue Distress Oxide inks.  The final touch was adding a ribbon, bow and clear Nuvo Drops.

Happy Winter to you, until next time, Happy Crafting!
