Poinsettia Postage Collage

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  I hope your week went well and you're finishing up your holiday plans.  I want to ask everyone for their prayers for Germany and especially those affected by the senseless act of violence at a Christmas Market on Friday.  This is a horrific I pray for comfort and peace for all those affected.

I have a quick share today featuring the Poinsettia Postage Collage Die and Stencil Set from Waffle Flower.  I love the stencil sets, they are so easy to put together and make such lovely Christmas cards.

Instead of the traditional Red Poinsettias, I've went with pretty shades of Pink Inks from Catherine Pooler.  I'm pleased with the outcome.

The sentiment has been popped on foam pads for dimension and I've added Crystal Stickles to the flower centers and holly berries.  Quick and easy card, and perfect for those last minute card needs!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge #12

Hello and Happy Friday my dear crafty friends!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge.  The optional mood board is so Wintery and Festive and I've used the mood board for my inspiration.

I've had these dies in my stash for several seasons and both sets; the Poinsettia and Cardinal were gifted to me from a special swap buddy in the U.K. (thanks Michelle!).

I've used 3 shades of red, one being glitter card, to piece together the poinsettia and cardinal.  The music sheet paper is from open stock at Hobby Lobby, the sentiment is from a Simon Says Stamp pack of pre-printed sentiment strips.

To finish off the design, I've added gold mirror card for the flower centers and splattered with gold Posca Paint Pen.  The front poinsettia and sentiment strip have been popped on craft foam for dimension.

Please stop by The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and play along, our prize this month is the Floral Trimmings Stamp Set by Studio Katia.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Christmas Wishes Poinsettia

Happy Saturday Friends. Today I have a quick post sharing a sweet and simple Christmas card where the patterned paper made creating this project easy.

I was searching for some holiday patterned paper in my stash and came across the Ornamental Christmas 12x12 paper pad from The Paper Studio. The baubles make a great background so I die cut a poinsettia using a die set from Alina Craft and cut the sentiment from a set by Kat Scrappiness.

The poinsettia petals and leaves were looking a little too flat and boring so I embossed the pieces using the Crystal Distortion 3-D embossing folder from Simon Says Stamp and added a bit of  Aged Maghoney Distress Ink around the edges.  The word dies were cut from white glitter card; this set comes with a shadow die but I decided against using it.

The only bells and whistles added were a clear gem to the "i" in Christmas, for the center of the flower and Wink of Stella over the entire flower and leaves.  If you have paper with a large pattern, it makes creating a background quick and easy.

Thanks for stopping by today.  In the States, it's Small Business Saturday so if you're holiday shopping today, please try and support a small business in your community.  Unti next time, Happy Crafting!

Holiday Magic

Happy Friday Friends!  We've made it to the weekend and I've a busy weekend planned with shopping in preparation for our upcoming Thanksgiving Day Holiday.  I did manage to get the Turkey yesterday, and I'm glad I went out because they were selling fast!

I have a simple yet festive card to share today.  I've colored the Poinsettia image from the Holiday Magic Stamp set by Dare 2B Artsy with alcohol markers and the patterned papers are from the Echo Park "My Favorite Christmas" 6x6 paper pad.

This set appeals to me because I like how the images are drawn in a sketchy way.  The lines are thick and bold which I also like.  The sentiment is part of the stamp set as well.

The layered banner die is from Alina Craft and the red gems are from Kat Scrappiness.  I've fussy cut the floral and popped it, along with the sentiment, on craft foam for dimension.

My Christmas cards for this year are almost complete.  I've tried to slim down my mailing list due to the rising cost of postage, which is sad, however I will probably end up sending more than I have on my list.  I can't help myself, I love sending Happy Mail and especially love sending Christmas Cards!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

The Four Seasons Challenge - December 2021

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy 1st of December!  Today begins a new challenge month at The Four Seasons Challenge Blog and it's Anything Goes that's Winter related.

For my design team project, I've used a Poinsettia digital image and sentiment from the Verve Store.  Verve has since closed shop but I was lucky enough to purchase a holiday set before the virtual doors closed.

I've colored the florals using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and fussy cut.  The designer papers are from the "Merry Christmas" 6x6 paper pack from Alina Crafts on Amazon.

The sentiment has been cut using a circle die then popped on craft foam, along with the florals, for dimension.  Lastly, red faux gems and Gold Stickles have been added for that holiday sparkle and shine.

Please visit the Four Seasons Challenge Blog this month and enter your Winter Themed projects for a chance to win a great prize!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bugaboo's Holiday Chaos Day #2 - Sketch Challenge

Hello and Happy Sunday!  Today is Day #2 of the Holiday Chaos celebration at Catch the Bug; Bugaboo Stamps Challenge Blog.  This week we are celebrating with daily themes and prizes with Grand Prizes awarded at the conclusion.  Today's theme is a Sketch Challenge and for my project, I'm using the Christmas Doodles image.

I stayed true to the sketch with the exception of moving the sentiment up higher on the card.  The papers are from a Martha Stewart 12x12 paper pad I bought on After Christmas Clearance a few years ago.  The silver snowflake buttons and poinsettia embellishment are items in my stash purchased at After Christmas Clearance sales.  The digital images were colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

We hope you'll visit the Catch the Bug Challenge Blog today for more inspiration and hopefully enter your project in the challenge.  Until Next time, Happy Crafting!

May Your Days Be Merry and Bright

Hello and Happy 1st Day of December.  Wow, this year has flown by!  Let's hope 2021 brings us all a COVID Free Environment so we can go out without masks!  Until then, we must continue to create holiday projects.  My make today is a quick card featuring a large die cut and stamping.

I die cut a large Poinsettia with Leaves and pieced together; edging with Stickles Gold Glitter Gel.  The sentiment is from a stamp set that came with a papercrafting magazine a few years ago.  I liked the large MERRY and was the main reason I purchased the magazine.  I used Gold Mirror card for a thin border around the focal panel and added a Gold Gem to the flower center - which is very hard to see.

I believe I have finished my card making for the holiday season.  Now on to tags for packages and for swap goodies; something I want to include with my Christmas card swaps this year.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Crafty Creations Design Team Project - Challenge #374

It's time for another challenge at Crafty Creations Challenges.  Today I'm sharing my design team project and the image is from the amazing sponsor Digi Stamps 4 Joy.

For my project I chose to use the Poinsettia image.  I'm in the holiday spirit and with the extreme heat we've been experiencing here in Florida, I'm dreaming of a Christmas that's not 98 degrees!

The papers are from the Paper Studio Rustic Noel 6" x 6" paper pad.  I added the Noel sentiment, also from the paper pad, some card candy and called it complete.

I hope you were inspired by today's post and will craft up something and join in the fun at the Crafty Creations Challenge this round.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Holiday Poinsettia

Hello and Happy Sunday.  I've been working on Christmas cards for the last few weeks and I finished this card today.  It features a die cut Poinsettia and foliage.   It's a Z-Fold style card measuring 4.25" x 5.5", the designer paper is from last years' stash from the Bo Bunny Tis the Season Collection.

For shimmer, I added clear Wink of Stella to the Poinsettia and added no other embellishments.  I felt the flower was a statement all it's own and no other embellishments were needed.

I'm very pleased with this one and will be creating more cards with this beautiful Poinsettia.

I hope I've inspired you to create some holiday cards and if you don't have a poinsettia die, use what flower die you have, just cut out of festive paper for a wonderful holiday card.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
