Hello Beautiful

Hello Crafty Friends!  It's Wednesday and we're almost to May...wow, where does the time go.  When I was a child, I couldn't wait to grow up, wishing time would pass quickly.  Now I'm all grown up, I would love time to slow down.  Funny how that works.

I have a quick share today featuring more of those Puffy Stickers that were found in my stash.  I'm keeping true to my resolution of using things I already have on hand and I thought these would make a sweet and simple card.

The design is simple, I tore some masking paper for the rough edges and blended Distress Inks across the middle of the panel.  I did a bit of splattering with Dina Wakely White Acrylic Gloss Spray and adhered the Butterflies.

The sentiment is from a Kelly Creates Stamp Set and it's been heat embossed.  The stamps are very large and perfect for scrapbooking pages, learning hand lettering or making a bold statement on a card front.  Lastly, I've added some color shifting sequins for additional interest.

That's all for today.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Oh Happy Day

Good Morning and welcome to Wednesday!  Today's make and share is another attempt to create a Clean and Simple card but I cannot keep away from adding elements so I will call this one a Sweet and Simple card.

I'm really loving Butterflies this Spring so I used more butterfly die cuts, circle die cuts from patterned paper, an adorable camera embellishment and sentiment stamp; all from the Spellbinders April 2021 Card Kit of the Month.  The kit comes with lovely dies, beautiful papers and embellishments.

My version of a clean and simple yet sweet and simple card.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Be Awesome Today!

Good Sunday to you and I hope you are well.  In the States, we changed our time and "Sprung Ahead" for Daylight Savings Time.  I'm feeling that hour of lost sleep so today's post is a quick one.

I was inspired by the butterflies I saw fluttering about this morning as I sat on the deck and had coffee.  I created this card using die cuts and the "Small Talk" sentiment strips by Tim Holtz.

The die cuts and patterned paper are from the Spellbinders May 2020 "All the Little Things" card kit.  I added some Gold Stickles for a bit of shine and called this card complete.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Everyday Is A Gift

Happy Sunday!  I hope your day is going great and you find time for yourself.  Today's make and share features Butterflies, Heat Embossing and Ink Blending.

I recently purchased a box of unbranded stamps from a Church Tag Sale and this butterfly and floral stamp set was included.  I started with ink blending a panel with Wilted Violet Distress Oxide Ink and splattered it with water.  After drying, I stamped and heat embossed with Bronze powder and matted the focal panel with black card.  The sentiment is from a Cardz TV set which I stamped on a tag and added Bakers Twine for an embellishment.  The A2 card is simple and understated for me....I like lots of DSP and coloring so I'm pleased with this one.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Cardz 4 Galz - Flutter By

Hello and Happy Thanksgiving to all the readers in the States.  I wish you a blessed day with lots of fun, food, Christmas Shopping and Football!

Today begins a new challenge at Cardz 4 Galz.  The theme this challenge is Flutter By so with that theme in mind, my design team project features Butterflies.

This card is a standard A2 size (4.25" x 5.5").  To create the background, I heat embossed the images with white embossing powder and inked with Distress Oxide Inks in the colors Bundled Sage, Wilted Violet and Worn Lipstick.  I then heat embossed the sentiment on vellum, added some clear Nuvo Glitter drops and called it complete.

My design team sisters and I invite you to join us this challenge and we hope to inspire you with our Flutter By projects.

Until Next time,  Happy Crafting!

Creatalicious Challenges - Design Team Project

Hello!  I'm back to share with you my Design Team Project for the Creatalicious Challenges.  The sponsor for this round is The Paper Shelter and the image is Butterfly Whisperer.

The requirement for this rounds' challenge is no square or rectangle cards/projects so I thought I would go with a circle.  This card measures 6" x 6" and I kept it pretty simple; coloring the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, adding some faux stitching and dots around the edges with Pigma Micron archival ink pen, some card candy and gold Wink of Sella for the earrings.  I also added some clear Wink of Stella to the Butterfly and her feathers (all the Wink is not noticeable in this picture).

I'm please with the card and I hope it inspires you to create a card using a shape other than square or rectangle.  Please join us at the challenge and please visit The Paper Shelter for some wonderful digital stamps.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Amazingly Amazing

Today I'm sharing a card I created for a card swap using only stamps and Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.

This card, even though simple, took me a little longer than I originally anticipated.  That wasn't a problem as I craft and create to relax but I couldn't decide which placement of the stamps looked best.  I must have fiddled with the design for half an hour until I settled on this and called it complete.

The stamps and sentiment are a mixture of stamp sets.  The sentiment was included in a gift to me from a card swap buddy.  Thank you Eva!

I hope you were inspired to created something simple and unique.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!
