Beach Babe Dottie

Hello!  I'm back with another make and share.  Today's card features the Beach Babe Dottie from Bugaboo Stamps.

This card is a Slimline card, my first ever!  I usually make A2 and Square cards but received a Slimline Die Set recently and wanted to try my hand at it.  This card measures 8.5"x 3.5" and fits into a Business Size (#10) envelope perfectly.

I colored her with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, added some Gelly Roll Sparkle Pen highlights to her hair, added some Stickles Clear Glitter Glue to her Earrings and Sandals (can't really see the glittery effect in this picture) and added sequins to polish off the project.

This is a top (tent) folding card; I cut 2 panels for the base and glued them together at the top.  I hope you like her, Ms. Dottie celebrated the 4th of July in Style!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Flower Bumble Bee

I'm back today to share a card I made using Flower Bee from Bugaboo Stamps.  This is a sweet little image and makes for a quick card.  The image is easy to color and Bugaboo is one of my all time favorite digi designers.

My card is an A2 size, I colored the image with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers, the papers are from the American Crafts Everyday 6x6 paper pad, I used Wink of Stella on the Flower and Crystal Stickles on the Bees' Wings for that added Sparkle and Shine.  The sentiment is from a Cardz TV Stamp Set and I thought it was appropriate as this little Bee looks like he's flying through the air, carrying his big flower and seed pods are probably probably falling off.

Thanks for the visit and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Sign It Kitty Cat Greetings

Hello and Happy Monday...or what's left of it.  It's evening now and today was busy with a dental appointment and resting this afternoon.  Today I'm quickly sharing a swap card I created using Bugaboo Stamps Sign It Kitty Cat Greetings digital stamp.

It's a super cute digi and very easy to color which makes for a quick card project.  The designer papers are from the Crate Paper Cute Girl 6x6 paper pad.  I used some Ranger Crystal Stickles and Wink of Stella for some shine and colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  The sentiment is from an unbranded stamp set I have in my stash.

I would also like to remind everyone the monthly challenge at The Paper Funday Challenges still has a bit over 2 weeks left to enter.  Please stop by there and enter for your chance to win a prize from 1 of 2 sponsors this month.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Create Your Own Background #4 - Hugs

Hello and a Beautiful Sunday to you.  I hope your day is bright and filled with all the things you want to do.  Today I'm quickly sharing the last card I created using Ranger and Jacquard Pinata Alcohol Inks to create a background.

I coated a piece of white 110 lb. card with Golden Satin Glazing liquid, which made the card waterproof, then experimented with alcohol inks to create a random background.  I've been trying to use up items I have in my stash that have not been used in a while and the alcohol inks were something I haven't had a play with in a while.

The sentiment is computer generated, printed on heavy parchment and cut out using a die I have in my stash.  I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Morning Dew to complete the card.  I've had fun playing with the alcohol inks, today I am going back to coloring up some fun images.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Create Your Own Background #3 - Dream

Hello and Happy Saturday!  I hope all is well with you and you have a great day planned.  Today I'm sharing card #3 in my Create Your Own Background Series.  Today's card was created using the same technique as the other cards I've shared this week:  Coating a piece of 110 lb. card with Golden Satin Glazing Liquid and having a play with Ranger and Jacquard Pinata Alcohol Inks.

I used Kraft card for the base and cut the alcohol ink panel into thirds.  Created and printed the sentiment, die cut it and attached to card front.  Lastly, added some Nuvo Glitter Drops in the color Gold Coast.  Another unique background and using what I currently have in my stash.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

Create Your Own Background #2 - Smile

Hello and Happy Thursday Evening.  I'm back to share another Create Your Own Background Card and just like the card I shared a couple days ago, this card was created in the same manner.  I used Golden Satin Glazing Liquid to coat a piece of 110 lb. white card and had a play with some Ranger and Jacquard Pinata Alcohol Inks to create an Abstract Background.  The Glazing Liquid creates a waterproof surface on the card stock which prevents the inks from penetrating the paper.  If you do not have Yupo paper, this is a nice alternative.

I do not have a sentiment that large so the sentiment is computer generated and printed on heavy parchment paper.  I used a die I had in my stash to cut it out, then  carefully traced the letters from behind with adhesive so it would stick to the card front and still hide the glue.

This time, I cut the alcohol ink panel in half and dry embossed the front of the card base.  I finished up with some Nuvo Crystal Drops in the color Midnight Blue.  Something different and again, my attempts to dig deep and use what I have in my stash.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Fabulous Spring Chicken

Good Sunday to you!  Today is a quick post sharing this funny digi stamp from the Sparkle N Sprinkle Spring Chickens Collection.  I've had this collection in my stash and I'm not certain if it's available for purchase any longer.  Sparkle N Sprinkle may not be selling any longer.

I've been trying to go back through images and supplies I have in my stash to create swap cards for June.  I have a tendency to want all the newest items that come out and I've promised myself 1 purchase a month....let's see how long I can keep that up.

This card measures the standard A2, papers are from the 6x6 DCWV Playful Pets Mat Stack.  The sentiment is part of the digi collection so all that was needed to complete this card was a bit of coloring with my alcohol markers and a few sequins for sparkle.  I think my swap buddy will get a chuckle from this card.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Everything's Rosy

Hello and Happy Saturday...it's been raining for 2 days here with rain predicted for the next 7!  What better way to spend a rainy Saturday than at the Craft table with a beautiful image and some Alcohol Markers.

Today I'm sharing a Swap Buddy card created using Power Poppy's Everything's Rosy Digital Stamp Set.

This card measures 5" square and simply matted with minimal accents; Nuvo Drops and a bit of Gelly Roll Glitter pen.  I started with 2 colors of green for the leaves but didn't like it so I switched to a green palette with some yellow tint and I like it much better.  The focal image is stunning and enough for this card along with a nice sentiment which is included in the collection.

I hope you are having a great day and getting some time to yourself.  I'm off to cook supper for the family - the work is never done around here but at least I got some time to myself today.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Tumble Tizzy Pastimes

Good Sunday to You.  I've sat down for a crafting minute to work on some cards and I wanted to share my Tumble Ted card with you.  He is from the Tumble Tizzy Pastimes Collection that I've had in my stash for quite some time.  I have been revisiting some of the items in my stash and working with them lately.  All of the images in this CD ROM kit are adorable and there are so many.

He's named Tumble Ted, I assume, because he's clumsy (see the bandage on his face).  Also, he's a popular children's character in the UK.  He's just cute no matter and an easy color.

The papers are from the American Crafts Everyday 6x6 paper pad, I colored him with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some white gel pen accents.  Simply card by my standards and I'm pleased with how the card turned out.

Have a great day and until next time,  Happy Crafting!

Summer Fun with Little Miss Muffet

Hello and Happy Saturday Everyone!  I hope all is well with you and yours and you've been having a great time crafting and creating.  Today is a short post sharing a swap card I created using a Little Miss Muffet digital stamp I've had in my stash.  She's ready for Summer with her Popsicle, Bathing Suit and Float.

The papers are from the Echo Park Good Day Sunshine 6x6 paper pad, I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and added some Yellow Gemstones to complete the card.

She turned out pretty and cute, I hope my swap partner will like my card.  I'm ready for some Pool time but have to wait for the thunderstorms and lightening to pass...it's been an everyday occurrence this week.

Until Next Time, Happy Crafting!

TP Dudley

Hello and Happy Thursday!  Today I have one of those "I couldn't resist" cards that I hope you'll find just as amusing as I did.  The image is a Freebie from Whimsy Stamps , who are so generous to provide us with these Freebies.  I will use Freebies to check out a designer, see if I like their style and if it's an easy color.  If I like the image, I always try to make a purchase to support these independent designers.  It makes me feel good to show them love and support with a small purchase.  With that being said, here's TP Dudley...isn't he adorable and of course, I took the opportunity to take a poke at the situation of the ridiculous TP Shortage....why is there a shortage anyway?

He's been colored with Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers and the card measures the standard A2 size.  This card will go to one of my swap partners on Greeting Card Swap Buddies - a Facebook group full of lovely people who like to swap cards.  I've made many friends through the group, both far and near.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
