Aloha Forever

Happy Sunday Friends!  I have a quick share for you this afternoon featuring a Tropical theme.  I felt like being creative today but didn't feel like getting out loads of supplies for stamping, coloring and etc.  I set about rummaging through my stash to see what I could use and found some puffy stickers.

I purchased several puffy sticker packs at the Dollar Tree a few years ago, when things were STILL a $1...instead of the current $1.25.  I thought they were cute and I would use them on scrapbook layouts (which I've yet to make) or sharing with swap friends.  Instead, they ended up in a drawer.

I used a small acrylic block and Catherine Pooler Inks to create the background.  I applied the ink to the stamping block, spritzed with water and "stamped" the color on the panel.  I splattered Dina Wakely Black Spray Ink and once all was dry, I applied the stickers.

To finish it off, I've adhered color shifting sequins and Calypso Blue Twine; both from Fun Stampers Journey.  This card was quick and easy - I never broke a sweat!

Have a fantastic week ahead and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Good Vibes Only with Milo Toucan

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday!  I have a quick share for you today featuring the Milo Toucan Die Set from Simon Says Stamp.

Milo Toucan is a paper piecing die set, so I die cut the pieces for him from various colors of scrap card.  I was gifted a Tropical/Safari Set from a Swap Buddy and totally forgot about it.  While searching for something to use for this card, I found the goodies and knew they would be perfect for Milo.

The sentiment has been heat embossed and the circle cut using a nesting circle die from Kat Scrappiness.  I created a cluster of leaves using the chipboard pieces from the gifted set.  Lastly, I've added pink pearls for bling.

That's all for today.  Have a Good Vibes Only Day and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Summer Vibes Release June 2022 @ Kat Scrappiness

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Saturday!  It's New Release Time at Kat Scrappiness and it's all about those Summer Vibes.  The team has created projects featuring the newest products available today and you'll want to check back at 12 noon EST for the Instagram Hop!

My project features the Oopsie Daisy Layering Stamp and Coordinating Die Set; the stamp set also has a 3 piece layering stencil set, giving you 2 options for coloring these lovely daisies.  I've also used the new Stitched Foliage Die Set along with the Summer Vibes Paper Pack.

I used 3 tones of Catherine Pooler Inks to stamp my florals instead of blending with the stencil set.  I also created my own green card for the foliage using 2 shaded of Catherine Pooler Inks.  I cut everything using the coordinating dies and set aside to create the panels.

Using nesting rectangle dies, I've cut a thick frame and flipped over the middle piece that was cut from the center (one side is the orange and the other is the tropical print), adhered both to a cardbase and popped the middle panel on craft foam for dimension.

I've arranged the florals and foliage, adhered craft foam behind the images and adhered to the panel.  Lastly, I've added Iridescent Droplets from the Kat Scrappiness for additional interest and shine.

Please stop by the Kat Scrappiness Blog to see all the Team inspiration using the Summer Vibes products and please Hop with us on Instagram at 12 noon EST today.  I hear there will be prizes on the Blog and Instagram!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Flamingo Builder Stencil - Erin Lee Creative

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Wednesday!  Before I continue with my Card of the Day, I wanted to remind everyone today is the last day of the Christmas in July Blog Hop. The Hop is active until Midnight EST tonight 14 July so hop along for your chance to win some holiday themed prizes.  To find the hop, click HERE and you can also find the post in the sidebar to the right.  Hope to see you there!

My card today features the Erin Lee Creative Flamingo Builder layering Stencil.  Much like my card yesterday, this stencil creates a lovely image and the Tropical theme is very "in" this summer.

I've used Catherine Pooler inks to stencil, stamp and blend this slimline scene.  The layering stencil is very easy to line up and ink through.  After ink blending, stenciling and allowing the ink to dry, I added additional interest with Dina Wakley White Acrylic Gloss Spray splatters.

Lastly, I added my sequins, matted with black card and adhered all on a card base of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb card.  I love the Tropical feel of this card and I hope you do as well.
Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Monstera Layering Stencil

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Tuesday!  Before I continue with sharing my Card of the Day, I wanted to remind everyone of the Blog Hop that is active until Midnight EST on 14 July so hop along for your chance to win some holiday themed prizes.  To find the hop, click HERE and you can also find the post in the sidebar to the right.  Hope to see you there!

My card today features the Erin Lee Creative Monstera Layering Stencil and the Good Vibes Layering Die.  I love the ease of layering stencils and stencils have come a long way from when I first started papercrafting, producing lovely layered inages.

I used 4 shades of Catherine Pooler green inks to create the background of this slimline card.  The layering stencil is very easy to line up and ink through.  After stenciling and allowing the ink to dry, I added additional interest with Dina Wakley Black and White Acrylic Gloss Spray splatters.

I inked a snippet of card with 2 shades of Pink Catherine Pooler ink to create an Ombre and die cut the sentiment.  I layered on a shadow of Vellum and adhered to the panel.  I didn't have the exact color of enamel dots so I dug out my old skool hand punch for the tiny circles, using glitter card.

I matted with black card and adhered all on a card base of Neenah Solar White Classic Crest 110 lb card.  I love the Tropical feel of this card and I hope you do as well.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Let's Chill

Hello Everyone!  I hope you're all well and enjoying your weekend.  Today's make and share features an oldie but goodie stamp set from Hero Arts, heat embossing and ink blending.

I stamped and heat embossed various images from an older Hero Arts set that I have in the stash to create my own background.  I ink blended a rainbow using Distress Oxide Inks and nounted on a black card panel.  Lastly, stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set and added clear sequins.  The Lips image is from a stamp set by Maymay Made It.

Quick and easy card to keep those summer vibes going but summer is quickly coming to an end with school starting soon, maybe it's started in your area already.  I can remember as a child, we didn't start school until after Labor Day!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Tropical Girl

Hello Everyone, I hope you are well and enjoying the day.

I'm back to share a project I completed recently using my new Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.  I'm quite a novice when it comes to coloring with these fantastic markers.  I'm learning and enjoying every minute of the process.

This lovely image of the Tropical Girl is by artist Jeremiah Ketner.  I purchased the downloadable image from the Crafts and Me shoppe on Etsy and colored her using the Spectrum Noir alcohol markers.

The card measures 5.5" square and is a top fold (tent fold) on a vanilla cardstock base.  The printed mat is designer paper by the Paper Studio.  I used die cuts for the leaves, the tag and the frame.  The sentiment is cut from some designer paper I had in my stash.

At the time I was coloring, I didn't have the mindset to record what colors I was using for the image but I will record for the next image I share.  If I may say so myself I thinks he came out lovely.  I'm patting myself on the back for being a complete newbie and this image coming out this good....beginners luck I imagine.  I hope you enjoyed my post and thanks for stopping by today.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
