Dreamy Autumn Silhouettes

Hello Friends and Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is progressing nicely, here in Florida it has done nothing but RAIN! The up side to that is I've had a bit more time in the craft room.

I do have a quick share for you today featuring the Autumn Silhouettes Stamp Set from Gina K. Designs (it's an oldie but goodie).  I bring this set out every Autumn season because it creates the prettiest cards.

I don't often create square cards but it's nice to switch things up once in a while.  I've masked off the edge of the scalloped die cut panel and ink blended Catherine Pooler inks in one corner and up the side.  After the ink dried, I stamped the silhouette image.

I've cut a black mat and adhered all to a 5.5" card base.  I trimmed a premade sentiment strip, from Simon Says Stamp, and popped on craft foam, and lastly I've added clear gems to finish it off.  I wish you the best day, I hope you get up to something wonderful!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Spread Your Beautiful Wings

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Wednesday! I hope your week has been smooth sailing and you're looking forward to a nice weekend.  I have a quick share for you today featuring a gorgeous Moth from the Beautiful Wings Stamp and Coordinating Die Set by Gina K. Designs.

I'm ashamed to admit I've had this set since January of 2021 and have only inked an image from it once.  I was having a look through the stash and not only found this set but also found some alcohol ink panels I made a few years ago.  Putting those 2 things together, I came up with this design.

The Moth has been colored using Alcohol Markers in colors that matched the panel, which I've cut into various sized strips.  The sentiment has been heat embossed and both the Moth and sentiment strip are popped on foam pads.  I didn't like the "unfinished" look of the strips so I created a frame using 2 stitched rectangle dies from Kat Scrappiness.  Lastly, I've added teal blue gems to finish it off.

I hope I've inspired you to look through your stash and create using something you either haven't used yet or haven't used in a long time.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Paper Funday Challenge January 2025

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy New Year!  Wow, here we are...2025...who would have imagined it?  Anyhoo...it's time for a new challenge month at The Paper Funday Challenge Blog.  Our challenges are Always Anything Goes with Optional Twists.  The Twist this month is Monochrome, which is what I've chosen to use for my team project.

My card features patterned paper from Stampin' Up, Snowflake images from Gina K. Designs and a sentiment from Brutus Monroe.

I've stamped the snowflakes and sentiment using Boho Blue ink from Stampin' Up.  I've added silver sequins for some extra sparkle, and placed a nest of silver thread behind the sentiment, which has been popped on foam pads for dimension.

Please join us this month at the Challenge, we would love to see your creations, and we have 2 generous sponsors this month:  Pattie's Creations and Lawn Fawn.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Nov/Dec 2024

Happy Fri-YAY friends!  It's time for a new challenge month at The Beautiful Blossoms Challenge Blog.  We have a pretty Optional Inspiration Mood Board for you.  The mood boards are Always Optional, the only requirement is your design must be FLORAL FOCUSED.

I was inspired by the colors in this mood board and tried to match the Autumn colors in my design.  Using the Painted Flowers Stamp Set from Altenew, I've created a somewhat CAS styled card.

I've stamped the images randomly on a Tim Holtz watercolor card panel and colored them using Gansai Tambi watercolor paints.  The sentiment is from a Gina K. Designs Stamp Set.

To complete the design, I've added copper gems from Kat Scrappiness to highlight the sentiment.  The team and I hope you'll pop in and join us at the challenge, so see you there!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Autumn Silhouettes with the Double Trouble Challenge

Hi Friends and Happy Tuesday!  I'm back to share my second Guest Designer project with The Double Trouble Challenge.  This challenge is for 1 week and it's a Something, Anything, Everything Challenge. The are other optional twists you can play along with if you choose.

I've created a CAS styled Autumn card using the Autumn Silhouettes Stamp Set from Gina K. Designs and blended a pretty sunset in the background using Catherine Pooler inks.

After stamping the image, I heat embossed and masked off a thick border using mint tape from Scrapbook.com.  I ink blended the colors and once dry, splattered using Dr. Ph. Martin's Pen-White ink. I like this white ink because when it's dried, it does not take on any color from underneath, it stays bright white.

I've popped the focal panel on craft foam for dimension, not before adding natural colored linen thread.  The sentiment is from the same stamp set.  I'm very pleased with the look of this card, CAS just isn't my forte but I do like how this card turned out.

I thank Double Trouble for having me as a Crazy Cousin this month, I always have a great time creating with the gals and we hope you'll stop in a play along!

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Fluttering Fall

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Wednesday!  I have a quick share for you today featuring the Fluttering Fall Stamp, Stencil and Die Bundle by Gina K. Designs.  This is one of those bundles that I purchased last year and tucked away, intending to use for Autumn cards, then forgot about it!  It's a shame, I know, however I came across this lovely set today and had a play.

To start, I stenciled the butterflies using Wild Wheat. Pebbled Path and Copper Clay inks from Stampin' Up. I die cut them and set aside to work on the background.

I stamped various florals and leaves in the Stampin' Up colors of Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Wild Wheat, Pebbled Path, Old Olive and Moody Mauve. This is just a 3/4" panel as I cut a 1/4" off at the bottom, at an angle, so the sentiment wouldn't compete with the busy background.

The die cut sentiment is included in the die set and has a shadow but I chose not to use the shadow cut.  To finish the design, I've added gold gems from Kat Scrappiness.  The bigger butterfly has been popped on dimensionals, the smaller one has been adhered directly to the panel and trimmed along the side.

That's all I have for your today.  I'm excited about Autumn/Fall crafting, and I'm seeing lots of pretty stamp, stencil and die sets out there, I hope I can resist spending....but I don't think that will happen.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Natural Silhouettes

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  I have a quick share for you featuring the Natural Silhouettes Stamp Set from Gina K. Designs.  I've used this set the past 2 Autumn Seasons and it's a good one to have in your stash.

I've kept the card design fairly simple, ink blending a side panel using Distress Oxide Inks.  The image has been heat embossed using fine detail gold powder and the card has been splattered with Gold Posca Pen.  The sentiment is a pre-printed strip from Simon Says Stamp.

Thanks for visiting with me today, until next time - Happy Crafting!

Autumn Leaf Prints

Hello Friends and Happy Saturday!  I'm in full blown Autumn card creating mode, this is my favorite time of year, even if we don't have "Autumn" in Florida.  My card today features skeleton leaf prints from the Gina K. Designs Layered Leaf Prints stamp set.

This is a layering stamp set but I've only stamped one layer of the leaves, using distress inks in Autumn colors.  I've stamped lightly in the beginning; sort of a ghost print, then stamped over top in increasingly bolder colors, creating a border of falling leaves.

I've splattered the card with brown and gold inks, stamped the sentiment in a dark brown ink and added golden sequins for effect.  This card was a quick and easy make and I'm pleased with the outcome.

That's all for today.  I hope you have a splendid weekend and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Black Kitty and Friends

Happy Saturday Crafty Friends!  It's been a crafty day here and I have a quick share for you this evening.  I've been busy getting my Halloween Happy Mail completed so I can post them by October 1st.  Today's card features another set of images from the Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest Stamp and Coordinating Die Sets.

This A2 sized card was a quick and easy project as no coloring involved, just stamping with Versafine Onyx Black Ink and die cutting the images.  The papers are from the Happy Halloween 6x6 paper pad from Carta Bella.  The patterned papers have a Retro vibe which makes them extra cool.

The Sentiment is from a Halloween set of premade strips from Simon Says Stamp. The Kitty and sentiment have been popped on foam pads for dimension and no extra bling added this time.

Thanks for stopping in today.  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Ghostly Greetings to You

Happy Friday to You!  I have a quick Spook-tacular share today featuring these adorable Ghosts from the Gina K. Designs Haunts and Harvest Stamp and Coordinating Die Sets.

It's all things that go Bump in the night for All Hallow's Eve and I started this card by stamping and die cutting these adorable Ghosts.  I've masked a circle on the card panel and blended distress oxide inks with water splatters for a spooky moon.

I've popped the ghosts on foam pads, stamped the greeting directly to the card base and added bats in the distance.  Lastly. I've lightly inked around the edge of the panel with purple ink and gave the ghosts sparkly eyes with Wink of Stella.

That's all for today!  Have a fabulous weekend, until next time - Happy Crafting!

Natural Silhouettes

Hello Crafty Friends and Happy Sunday!  I hope your weekend is going well and you're rested enough to face the coming week.  I have a quick share today featuring a silhouette image that has been heat embossed.

Using the Gina K. Designs Natural Silhouettes Stamp set, I've created a quick and easy Card of Encouragement for a dear friend.

To start, I've cut random sized strips of colored card snippets in Autumn colors, then glued to another lightweight piece of scrap card (I cannot bring myself to throw out scrap card - colored or white).  I stamped the image and sentiment, then heat embossed using fine detail Gold powder from Ranger.

I've popped the panel on craft foam and adhered to a Kraft card base.  Lastly, I've added gold sequins and called it complete.  I did add a panel of vanilla card to the inside and stamped the same silhouette image onto it using brown ink.  This gives me a brighter place to write my message, and the card base isn't as heavy as I tend to use, so the added panel inside gives the card a nice weight.

This was a quick and easy card to create and a great way to use up those snippets of colored card, which I have loads of (what about you?).

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Re-Discovery Hop on Instagram - Rainbow

Hello Friends!  Long time No Share....I've been so busy lately, I don't know if I'm coming or going but I did manage to get my card made for the Rediscovery Hop on Instagram.  The premise of this Hop is to use items from your stash to create a card featuring the theme.  The theme this month is Rainbow.

I've had these Rainbow sets from Kat Scrappiness in my stash for a couple of years and have never used the rainbow set; I've used the sentiment set once before.  While shopping my stash, I found them and they are perfect for this months' theme!

To start, I die cut all the rainbow pieces and ink blended them with Gina K. Designs inks in the traditional rainbow color palette.  After the ink was dry, I splattered diluted blue ink on the cloud and white ink on the rainbow.  I then assembled on a card panel, popping up the cloud on craft foam.

The sentiment has been cut from Gold Mirror card and adhered directly to the cloud.  To finish, I've added iridescent confetti from Pretty Pink Posh.  We would love to have you visit the Hop, it's a 2 day hop his month due to the mere size of the participating list.  Be certain to check out the Saturday and Sunday Hops for loads of Rainbow inspiration!  You can start both days of the hop at @craftwithme101 on Instagram.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Happy Easter Daffodils

Hello Sweet Friends and Happy Monday!  I trust your weekend was lovely and you found a bit of time for yourself.  Easter is fast approaching and I'm working on Easter cards; as usual I've waited till last minute **sigh.

I've had this Easter Stamp Set from Gina K. Designs for a couple of years now and only remember to use it at Easter time.  It's a shame because the Daffodils are so pretty and would make a lovely project for Spring; even Mother's Day.

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils and tried to stay true to a traditional Daffodil color palette.  I was experimenting with different shades of green and prefer the medium tones that appear on each side of the image.

I thought a Clean and Simple theme was enough since the image is substantial. I've matted with a panel of black card and added enamel dots for added visual interest.  That completes the card and my post for today.

Have a fantastic Monday and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Bitty Blossoms

Hello Friends and Happy Sunday!  I hope your weekend has been enjoyable and you've had the opportunity to do something you love.  I have a quick share today featuring the Bitty Blossoms Mini Stamp set from Gina K. Designs.

I've kept the design very simple, by my standards anyway.  I have a problem with CAS - I'm not very good at keeping things simple.

I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils and lightly blended Bundled Sage Distress Oxide ink as a "ground" for the flower bunch.

The image and sentiment have been heat embossed with fine detail embossing powder and for an extra bit of interest and shine, I added mini water droplets to complete the design.

I hope you have a beautiful Sunday filled with Sunshine!  Until next time, Happy Crafting!

Gift of Hope

Hello Crafty Friends and Welcome to Sunday!  Superbowl Sunday here in the States, but that's not a big deal to me...I'll be crafting while hubby cheers on his Philadelphia Eagles!  Will you be watching the Game?

I have a quick share for you today featuring an image from the Gift of Hope Digital Set by Graciellie Design. I've colored the image using Prismacolor Pencils...I'm still trying to perfect my technique using these art tools.

The patterned papers are from the Echo Park Good Day Sunshine 6x6 paper pad, the sentiment is from the Bitty Blossoms Mini Set by Gina K. Designs.

I'm not happy with that fussy cutting work!  I don't know what possessed me to hand cut it but once I started, I was committed.  The image and sentiment have been popped on craft foam and the design finished with clear gems.

Have a wonderful week ahead and until next time, Happy Crafting!

Countdown to Christmas #5 - Delicate Snowflakes

**Before I get to my share for today, I wanted to announce a new challenge blog will be starting up the 15th of January 2023.  It's a monthly challenge, starting on the 15th of each month and the MAIN focus will be Florals/Flowers.  It's the Beautiful Blossoms Challenge and there is a DT Call going on now.  If interested in joining the team, the contact info can be found on the Blog:   https://beautifulblossomschallenge.blogspot.com/

Now, for today:

Hello and Happy Friday!  Today's card #5 in my series of Countdown to Christmas is a bit more involved but still an easy card to create, which could be massed produced using a stamp positioner tool (I use a Misti).

To start, I've heat embossed a red panel using the Gina K. Designs "Delicate Snowflakes" background stamp and Simon Says Stamp Sparkle White Embossing powder.  By leaving the background stamp in your stamp positioner tool, you can easily add different colored panels of card and stamp away, then heat emboss in one swoop.

In an earlier crafting session, I die cut several stars and put them aside.  I stamped the sentiment, which is from an older Gina K. set (don't have the original packaging), using a dark gray ink.  I took a bit of checked plaid ribbon to place behind the star, which I popped on craft foam.

Lastly, I've added a bit of Fake Dimensional "Snow" to the tree and dotted the panel with Gold Stickles.  That completes this card, not difficult and I have embossed panels of blue and purple waiting in the wings.

Until next time, Happy Crafting!
