Little Cat Feet
"The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over the harbor and city on silent haunches, and then, moves on." - Carl Sandburg

Squirrels
This picture is kind of washed out, but I'm outside sniffing the changes in the air.
It's getting colder and my feet don't like it as much as summer with the soft grass.
I gotta ask you cats out there... How many of you are bothered by those pesky, annoying squirrels? We have one with a nest in a tree in our back yard and it is constantly jumping from the tree to the house and across the roof. You can hear his claws scraping as he scampers over to the other side. then it's down a tree in the front yard, then back up & over across the roof. All day long!
And he is so saucy! He will sit & stare at us, taunting us as we look through the window at him. He is busy burying stuff near the house too, for his winter food.
That is stoopid because in the winter everything is buried deep under the snow. He can't get to it anyway. He's wearing himself out, running back & forth, back & forth when he could be napping like us. Sheesh, squirrels are dumb!

After Dinner Mint
Mom & Dad were having supper in the TV room watching some old show called the Original Star Trek Series.
I slowly wandered in.....La-De-Da...... and plopped down in front of them.
You all know what comes next!
I lifted my rear leg and proceeded to clean my nether regions.
Our friend Timothy Dickens calls that "having an after dinner mint".
Mom & Dad are cat people so they weren't disturbed or anything, but they did wonder why that often happens when there is an audience.

Whose Chair?
Score!
Mom finished watching her hockey game last night and poured a glass of that red stuff called "whine" . She came over to her chair to do some reading but I was napping in it.
She politely asked me if I'd move......... "no, I'm not moving" I said, and put my head down again.
What did she do? She moved the lamp over and went to sit on the couch!

My Belly
Now the weather is turning colder with snow flurries expected tomorrow. I don't go out in my harness very much these days. My little cat feet get cold. Inside is much better. As you can see here, I have what mom calls my "sleepy face" on and am just about to doze off..........Zzzzzzzz

Golden Leaves
I'm making sure no nasty chattering squirrels try to invade. Or those horrible blue jays!
Most of the leaves are off the trees in the front yard but the backyard ones are slower to lose theirs.
Scout likes to hide in the leaves and chase them, but I like to sit amongst them and survey my domain.

Fall
Leaves coming down.
Squirrels going crazy burying food.
Geese flocking down at the pond.
Cooler weather.
And I'm starting to get my winter coat. With that comes getting hair mats that mom has to comb out. I don't mind being brushed, in fact I love it, but not when she pulls out those tangles.
That's when I run over here...to the neighbors garden and attempt to hide. It's pretty lush in the summer, but I can't hide as well in the fall and she always finds me.
But usually I get a treat when she's done, so I can live with it.
