Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Meet Sooty the Guinea Pig

This story is from a few years ago, but we have guinea pigs at our house, so that's why we saved it.
Fat Eric, maybe you even remember the incident.
Since Mom & Dad are gone on vacation to Phoenix for a week, we thought you guys might like it too.
Good for a chuckle!

Big Storms

We had big storms go through the area last week. (Yeah, we know, we are lazy with the news.)
It was black as night outside and the wind was roaring and the rain and hail was pelting down.
Then the tornado warning sirens started going off!
Mom yelled, "Come on boys! Down to the basement!"
Scout and I followed her right away but Scooby was hiding someplace and wouldn't leave his safe spot!
Mom kept yelling, "Scooby, Scooby! Come on!" And finally he came running down to wait it out with us.
The sirens went off 3 times in about 30 minutes(they go off when a funnel is sighted in your immediate area) and the weather man on the tv we have down there said several were sighted all around the metro area. Mom was a little nervous because Dad wasn't home, but when the all clear came, everyone was safe. Just lots of leaves & branches down around us.

Cute Video!

Our friends at Strange Ranger posted the funniest kitten clip
we have seen in a long time!
Go to:
http://strangeranger.typepad.com/
The first video is their very lovely cat Ivy trying out their new dining room rug.
The second one is a Very Hungry Kitten standing his ground.
Go see it!

Butter

Mom said she learned a "Life Lesson" this week when she
learned not to put out the butter for guests before checking it for cat hair.
Whatever.

NOW what do you see?

Ok. Sorry to keep bothering you......
We made an edit and hope we haven't screwed things up further.
We use Firefox, and those who also use Firefox said the blog looked normal to them--no having to scroll way down past the archives to get to the posts. Everything was fine. That's how we see it too.
Those who use IE or something else said the blog looked screwy to them. One cat who had one version of Explorer said it was fine, another cat who had a different version of Explorer said the blog was messed up. This is crazy!!!
It still looks fine to us, except we took out Scout's Catolympic Bronze Medal for Litter Throwing. It wasn't making a picture of the medal, just showing the code on the screen.
So NOW how does we look????

What Do You See?

One kitty friend of ours who reads our blog says that it is all screwed up. They have to scroll way, way down before they get to read anything.
Another kitty friend said it was printing in HUGE letters but now it looks fine.
A couple other kitties we have asked say the blog looks normal.
We want to know from the rest of you who come to visit.
When our blog comes up, what does it look like to you?
Normal or out of whack? We have no idea whats going on.
How can one cat see one thing and another cat see it differently?

Allergies

Mom has allergies real bad this week.
All she's doing is sniffing and snorting, blowing and sneezing!
She takes pills for it but they only take the edge off it and this year has been a bad year for beans with allergies.
Today all she has done is sit at the computer looking at cat blogs and doing mindless surfing. Doesn't feel like reading which is what she prefers to do!
When she was little in the 60's (ie: prehistoric times) she was in an experimental group of kids who got tested for their allergies and then took shots to make them better. Today that is routine. Our college boy had them when he was young.
We'd hate to go in for shots every week for years on end. Humans can keep their allergies! We don't want them! Not if shots are involved.

Don't Inhale

Today Mom informed us that we should not inhale our Temptations
but eat them slowly and savor each bite.
Sheesh.

Backpacks

We are seeing little beans going by with big colorful things on their backs. Shaggy says they are called backpacks and the beans carry their books and papers to school in them.
I Want A Backpack!
I would put different things in it than the kids do.
Hmmmmm..........
Stinky Goodness...........Temptations...........fevver butt mousie.............squiggle from DKM & Sophia........NIP..............plastic bottle tops.................what else??
