Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Happy Squillions Day

It's Squillions Day! Here is our Squillion, Sioux on the day he came to live with us.
We got Sioux from Derby in August 2004 for the Summer Secret Paws exchange.
Sioux is one of the original squillions and he is very special to us.
Derby started the Squillions craze all those years ago and it took off like wildfire!
Sioux is named after Mom & Dads alma mater the University of North Dakota Fighting Sioux.

Toby the Pirate

Toby is a smart little guinea pig.
He has this igloo in his cage and he loves to sit on top of it and
beg for fruit & veggies. He will start squeeking the second he hears the
fridge door open!
He also likes to flip his igloo over like this picture shows. When he does this we think
he is pretending to be a pirate piggie sailing the seven seas in search of booty, veggies and wenches.
Ahoy, Toby!
Batten down the hatches and poop on the deck!
Or whatever pirates say.

More Winter

OK.
So mom's headache is gone this morning thanks to migraine meds and an early bedtime.
But we woke up to this! (The stoopid camera should say 2/21)
More snow. Everything was practically melted and we got another dumping.
This always happens when dad goes on his golf trip so mom is stuck shoveling the driveway.
Seriously. Three years in a row.
Oh well. She says shoveling good exercise .
Whatever. We just watch from the window.

Headache

Well, this is a bummer.
Mom has a bad headache today. She took Benadryl last night because the guinea pigs were making her sneeze & her nose run like crazy when she was cleaning their cages (she's allergic to them but loves them anyway).
That stuff works great for allergies and for getting her to sleep, but it dehydrated her terribly in the night so now she has this headache.
She wanted to go out & prowl the thrift stores for goodies and books today but that's going to have to wait.
Well, time for purr therapy and a nap.
And barbituates. She has one called Fioricet for headaches. Then her migraine med Imitrex if it is still debilitating.
Nice big word, huh?
Debilitating. That means flat on her back, moaning, with an ice pack on her head in a dark room.
See ya later!

Dad's Gone for a Week

OK.
Dad is leaving tomorrow for a golf vacation in Nevada with his Men's Club buddies from the golf course.
Then from there he is going to San Diego for a few days to check up on something for his work. And he's just going to happen to have his clubs with him there too.
He'll be gone for an entire week.
So we'll be home taking care of Mom.
What can we do to keep her entertained?

Scout

The day these pictures were taken was pretty nice.
Sunny and warm enough to melt some snow.
There were also birds flying around and the sassy squirrel that lives in our tree
was out and about doing squirrel things.
It was a nice day to have a little spring fever, but this week it is back to cold & gloomy and
overcast.

Scooby

Naptime.
Dreaming of open windows.
Bird songs.
Pesky squirrels.
Butterflies and dragonflies.
Green grass.
Soft breezes.
Spring.

Scout

Oh, hi mom!

I'm not doing anything!

Just having a drink.

Yep. Just having a drink.

No. I'm not playing "waterpark" with the fountain.

Just having a drink.

Yep. Just having a drink.
