Little Cat Feet
"The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over the harbor and city on silent haunches, and then, moves on." - Carl Sandburg
About Me
- Name: Shaggy and Scout
- Location: Twin Cities, Minnesota, United States
Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Mighty Hunter Scout
I almost had myself a chipmunk!
Mom spent a lot of time outside one day last week
and I got to be out with her in my harness.
There's a chippy that lives under our low front porch and I stalked him there.
Then he ran out and I pounced him and made him "squeek" but he got away.
I chased him around the corner of the house and he ran into the drainpipe.
I had him cornered, he was trapped.
He tried climbing it as a way out but he couldn't do it.
I never did get to catch him, mom finished her chores and reading and we had to go inside.
Chippy, I'll be back!

Hi Tippy!
Here is neighbor cat Tippy!
He lives next door with Mars, the orinch cat you've met before.
Tippy is 9 and never used to like to go outside,
but lately he's been asking to go out every day.
He's a big soft fellow, very friendly, but for some reason
this time Scooby let him visit for awhile, then decided to defend his turf and chased him home.
Thanks for visiting, Tippy!

The Girls
They're both about 5 years old now, but still pretty healthy and active.
Not real active though. When mom puts them on the floor, they don't run like Toby does, they just mill around in one spot until mom puts them back.
These are the latest pictures of them taken last month before mom cleaned out their cage. She cleans it nightly, but usually cleans it around them, not taking them out. Toby gets out every evening and gets to run, then when the cages are clean they get parsley or broccoli or an apple slice and a big handful of fresh timothy hay. They all will stand up and beg and squeek until she brings it. Clean cage = treat.
She took the girls out tonight to cuddle them and clip their toenails, but mom is allergic to these two, and she breaks out in hives.
But they're her little daughters and she loves them.
Go take some Benadryl now, mom.

Scout's Gotcha Day
Today is my Gotcha Day.
Actually I was gotcha'd when I was 3 days old when mom saw me in a picture her friend sent of me.
But this is the anniversary of when I came to live here with my forever people.
And Shaggy & Scooby.
We are thankful the Cat Blogosphere remembered the anniversary.
Mom remembered yesterday but was too lazy to make a post for me!
Thanks everyone who already commented their congratulations on the previous post.
