Little Cat Feet
"The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over the harbor and city on silent haunches, and then, moves on." - Carl Sandburg
About Me

- Location: Twin Cities, Minnesota, United States
Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Boxing Day
Today is Boxing Day.
That means mom picks up all the boxes and papers off the floor and tries to tidy up.
We had a great Christmas playing in the wrapping papers and trying out the new boxes.
Mom left my favorite box out for me, since I've been taking all my naps in it. Shaggy liked to lay on top of the papers.
Christmas Day mom & dad went to see Sherlock Holmes. They are big fans of him and have a lot of the movies and shows that have been done previously. They really enjoyed the movie!
Hope your day was a good one too.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to all our kitty friends!
Mom was certain Shaggy was on the couch when she took the picture, but we've been running away when she gets the camera out, or hiding way underneath where she can't get us.
At the top of the tree is a lighted angel Mom got from her Grandma for her first Christmas - in 1960. Angel's an antique. Mom is too.
You might notice she is crooked. There has never been a year where she ends up straight.
Mom says it just adds "character."
Merry Christmas everyone!
Love, Scooby, Shaggy & Scout

It's Raining Temptations
Mom brought out the pouch of Temptations to give us a treat this morning.
She fumbled as she opened it and they spilled everywhere!
All over the floor.
A mad scramble ensued.
Mom to pick them up, and us to gobble them up as fast as possible!

Drowning in Snow
We got hammered by the snow storm yesterday and today!
Looks like about 8 inches with drifts up to mom's knees.
Since dad's been out of town on business for the last two weeks, Mom & Boy got to clear it all off the driveway and steps.
Heavy & wet deep snow. Mom had to come in to take a break 3 times but eventually it got done.
Mom is going to be lobbying hard for a snowblower since dad may not be able to do much with his bad leg. He's had a setback and is still on crutches after 3 months.
Here I am modeling the latest in headwear, compliments of our Boy.
Super Mario Brothers. Very retro. Boy is 21. Re-living his childhood, apparently.

Snow
The snow is here.
The first big storm of the season.
Blizzard warnings are out for the southern part of the state, but just advisories about blowing snow & visibility here in the Minneapolis area.
We kind of hope it just keeps blowing and the snow lets up because that means less shoveling and that means less grumbling from the people.
Mom says she hopes this is the year dad buys a snow blower for the driveway.
Mom saw Zolie this morning and fed her a big breakfast and we hope she is snug in her shelter under our deck.
Poor outdoor kitties! Winter is hard on them.

Under the Dome
Mom got an early Christmas present yesterday. Not for us. For herself. Greedy woman.
She is a big fan of some writer named Stephen King and has all his books.
She was online at her favorite bookstore, Amazon, and saw his newest book at 60% off.
A book that costs $35 green papers for $14. And if you spend $25 green papers you always get free shipping so she treated herself to another book from her (extensive) wish list too. "Just one more book and I can get free shipping!" Everything at this Amazon place costs less of the green stuff so she gets a lot of books there. That's how she justifies it anyway.
This is a big deal for people. They love to score deals and get things on sale.
How come she never gets us cat stuff from there? Because she's Greedy. Wants it all to herself.
Well, it came yesterday. It's huge, and she's all giddy about starting it.
Dad is out of town on business so she invited us to cuddle with her on the bed last night while she started it.
She says her biggest problem is slowing down to savor it instead of ripping right through it.
Sounds a bit like catnip.
