Little Cat Feet
"The fog comes on little cat feet. It sits looking over the harbor and city on silent haunches, and then, moves on." - Carl Sandburg

All Mine!
The tuna water Patches was shown lapping up yesterday? It belonged to the can that made this sammich.
Mom was so distracted yesterday she started eating her lunch, then left the table, and her sammich unguarded.
Sorry mom, but that means it's mine now. To the swiftest goes the victory! She came back in the kitchen, saw me likkin' it, shooed me away, then sat down to finish. I still say it was mine by default. I coulda eaten faster but I had to pick around the tomato. -Scout

Hello...is this thing on?
Here's hoping our innerwebs problems are solved. We've had spotty service for three weeks...very frustrating! And nothing at all since Sunday, hence we were stuck on Cinco de Mayo for 4 days. New wireless router is in place and running and this appears to be the fix. You know, for the computer...not that other kind of "fix" as in nootering.
We had landscapers at our house on Monday and one of them cut the cable for tv & phone as he was cutting a trench for a border. Comcast (aaarrgggh!) fixed it yesterday. What a month! Hopefully we can post something on Mother's Day. If we don't we wish all the mom's out there a good one. -Shaggy

Window Whiffies
This picture is from exactly one month ago.
April 4th.
The window was cracked open for me and it was a nice, mild day. We thought winter was over. Nope. Still here. Southern Minnesota, not too far from us got up to 14 inches more snow this week. The weather guessers said we might get 2-4 inches, but only had flurries. Whew. We like the windows open, to hear the birds and feel the warmth. But it is the first week of May and it is still winter. This is setting new records for longest winter and latest spring. Mom has that sadness thing and needs the sun to return. She takes naps to escape it, and we do a great job of Support Napping with her.

The Innernets At Our House Is Sick
Hi kitty friends!
We've been having innernet problems for about 2 weeks and have not been able to post. Sometimes the innernet comes back for a few minutes or an hour then it runs away again. Dad calls it "connectivity problems."
He is trying everything in every combination to diagnose and fix the problem. He first thought it may have stemmed from a faulty upgrade he installed, but he uninstalled it and went back to the previous program but still there are problems. Some things work temporarily, some not at all. Sometimes only moms computer is bad, sometimes his, sometimes both computers won't connect, sometimes the computers don't connect but the tablet does. He doesn't know where it originates from. He has a new router coming in case something has broken down inside the current one and it's only working when it wants to.
We've been going crazy not being able to visit and keep up with you and share your days. Yesterday everything worked good, this morning mail kept "error-ing" out and mom couldn't link to anything.
This afternoon it's good again. Or at least we hope it is when we hit the publish button! -Shaggy
