Little Cat Feet

Shaggy and his littermate brother Scooby came to live with us in October 2005, when they were 5 years old. Scout arrived in 2006 at the age of 6 weeks. Scooby passed over very suddenly to the Rainbow Bridge on April 1, 2012 and is remembered fondly and missed deeply.

Cat Food Question

Any one know about or have experience with this cat food - "Innova Evo" ?

http://www.evopet.com/about-natura/

It is expensive: $22.00 for a 6.6 pound bag but where I can buy it if you buy one bag the second bag is 1/2 price. It is only available in small, independant feed stores, so it requires a special trip farther for me than just PetSmart or PetCo.
A raw diet is supposed to be best, and this seems to be the next best thing.
I also bought a sample pack of raw, frozen meat medallions from Nature's Variety to try out.
Can anyone comment??

LOOK!

Look what I found in our grass.

A cute little snack, ummmm, toy, er, treat, I mean bird.

Actually, I really wanted to play and chase him, but he was real tired, trying to get his breath and just sitting there.
I was twapping him on the head when mom saw me and came to investigate and ruined all the fun.
She took me inside and when she checked on him about 20 minutes later, he was gone.

Rainbow Bridge

Today has been a hard day for Mom.
She had to take our albino guinea pig, Eddie, to the vet to help him go to the Rainbow Bridge.
We love you Eddie.
Rest in Peace.

Who?

Mom: Ok guys. Which one of you barfed in my shoes last night?
Scooby: The guinea pigs did it.
Shaggy: That's barf. My specialty is hairballs.
Scout: Ummmm. The barf monster? Yeah, that's it! The barf monster throwded up in your shoes. He came down the chimbly gagging & choking then he made it just in time to your shoes.

Make It Stop!

We woke up this morning to more wet, cold white stuff on the ground. Yup...snow!
What is going on here?
This day last year it was 71 and spring was in full gear.
Today it's 32 and blustery and snowing! Crap.

Can anyone help our mom? It is so dry and cold that her fingertips have deep sore cracks in them and they hurt alot. Can anyone recommend a good cream or lotion to put on them. I promise I won't lick it off.

Toesday Tuesday

Mom & dad had a bunch of their friends over the other night.
Shaggy & Scooby went to nap in the other room because they are not very sociable.
I made sure to go and sniff everyone's feets though, because I'm cute and I know it and I love the attention! And I love to snoopervise!
I thought since we are on the subject of feet I would show you mine, which are very cute. But none of the people wanted to sniff them.

Shaggy: Alpha Cat

While Shaggy & Scout cuddle and play and are best buddies, Scooby has never warmed up to Scout. Always hissing if he comes anywhere near him.
Scout, for his part, tries to get Scooby to play by chasing him all over the house and jumping on his back.
Shaggy usually just watches but he will step in if he thinks it's out of hand and his brother Scooby needs rescuing.
That happened the other night.
Scout was hiding around a corner lying in wait for Scooby and pounced him when he went by.
A running, rolling, hissing, growling cat fight ensued.
Shaggy jumped down from his observation post on the chair and went running up to them.
Then, thwap! He slapped Scout upside the head and hissed at him.
Scout rolled onto his side in the submission posture and the fight was over.
This picture is from Summer '05 when Scout was a baby. As you can see, he was trying even then to get Scooby to like him.

Snow!

We had a little snowstorm last night with real high winds!
All we got here was a coating of snow but just to the north of us they got 6 inches.
Mom had put her portable foot heater away the other day thinking it was spring at last, but last night out it came again.
The snow is pretty much melted today except in the shady spots and it's cold again!
Brrrrr! Dang! We thought spring was here. Mom even switched out her closet from sweaters & sweatshirts to short sleeves & t-shirts. She figured it was ok to do since we had those 80 degree days a week & a half ago. Nope. Not in Minnesota.
