Bike Shed Snaps

Trophy Kings - UPDATE

The Sideburn #12 launch party at the Edwin Jeans store was a blast, thanks to the Kraken rum and everybody that came down and made it so. I'll post some crowd scene snaps tomorrow.
In the meantime, these are the trophies we awarded for "Best Bike" (bad cop with the wheel) which went to Ornamental Conifer's Honda Rebel Sushi Eater.

And "Furthest Traveled by Motorcycle" (wrestler with handlebar) which went to Jules who traveled 230 miles from Liverpool on his Cagiva. BP

Jules doesn't have Looney Tunes cartoon-style good and bad personified influences on his shoulders (well, he might, but you can't see them), this is BP in white and James, Edwin's store manager, in black. GI

From our Washington correspondent, Troy Critchlow, who this week-end, is in Davenport Iowa, for the AMCA swap-meet. Rummaging through bins of rusted chrome and enjoying some turn-left action. (these photos were sent via his Blackberry phone) Flash bastard. BP

Google Images used to be my crack, but I managed to ween myself off it with regular doses of Flickr. It's unbelievable the gold you can gleen. This shot of Willie Hardin popping his 'Bultaco Killer' Suzi; and the rest of the album, is too good to just cast into the ether. We need to get some printed up in SB magazine; all his stories included. BP

[The photographer] Manuel Burton always showed up at either Elsinore or Perris for Saturday night races. During practice one night, I really pitched the TS185 in the corner where he was standing. He got this shot with my front wheel off the ground. The cut Pirelli MT53's didn't have enough tread to hold me up on this occasion. Had to replace a clutch lever before the heat races. Neat picture though. Willie.
