I've just returned from Spain where I was staying with the El Solitario family for a couple of nights. It was a great time. More about it in the future.
It reminded me I had these amazing Kristina Fender photos of the Pop series of bikes El Solitario built.
125s with BMX bars, obnoxious exhausts and great paint.
At €8000 they're a lot for a 125, but not a lot for a custom bike of this standard.
We saw these at our Kiddo party in Barcelona and fell for them. G
UPDATE: The whole El Solitario crew are coming from Spain for our Sideburn Edwin party.

Kiddo Cats and Kittens
What a shop. What a party. Thanks Sergio, Brusco, Jordi, DJ Inocuo and Carlos. The Kiddo Motors shop was even cooler than I thought it was going to be. Wall to wall felidae. And the Spanish variety like to lick Sailor Jerry's rum all night. Once the Policia shut down the festivities at midnight(?) we stumbled down the street for fantastic tapas. Our DJ gave the head waiter a nod and all the single tables were joined together in one long line so we could all eat together. Only Co-Built and the Ruby boys still had the energy to then reach for the lazers and go out clubbing until silly o'clock. BP

Catalan cuties
Given Sideburn's imminent arrival in the Catalan capital for the Kiddo/Sideburn #11 launch party, here are a couple of tasty nippers from lesser-known Barcelona bike builders Ducson. These 49cc four-speed strokers are the S-20 and S-21 from, I think, the late 1960s/early '70s. Guapissim! MP

99% Moto Bar, Barcelona
As if our Kiddo party wasn't enough, here's another reason to visit Barcelona, the 99% Moto Bar. This place was decorated by the artist Brusco who did our Kiddo Motors poster. We're going here for tapas and Estrella! G

Cult
Nice image from Kiddo Motors. The Steve and Minx poster looks great framed. It's free with Sideburn 6 (picture frame not supplied).
Film director Alex Cox wrote the story to accompany that feature - it's an exclusive essay about the film Rollerball. Cox's Repo Man is having a special screening in London on Feb 29. Dress code is 1980s punk. Sounds interesting. Go to Midnight Movies for more info. G

Kiddo Uno
Kiddo Motors in Barcelona do things the right way. First there's the shop, probably one of the nicest motorbike-themed expensive T-shirt and jean outlets in the world. Then, when they have a party, they know how to do it. They also stock Sideburn, naturally.
Now they've built their first project bike. Kiddo Uno was originally a 1988 Honda Dominator, now it's a wonderful mash-up of styles topped with an XT500 tank. I love it. Below is a video of the assembly of the bike.
