Miss Kiss Harley Quinn Latex Cosplay :: Harley Qwednesday

It's been quite some time since we've had the pleasure of the incredible Miss Kiss gracing the illustrious halls of Harley Qwednesday, and she's just slightly perturbed by that fact...

But today she's back and more latex than ever today in this sweet shiny little number by Shhh! Couture with custom latex gloves by Jenni of Deadly Couture  and custom ruffles by August Wiled (One of Miss Kiss' Partners in Crime)

This photoset was taken by POW! Photography at Vancouver FanExpo 2015.

Miss Kiss looks criminally stunning in her latest Harley Quinn incarnation!

Long-time readers will remember Miss Kiss' first appearance here at Toyriffic with her 2012 photoshoot posing alongside the '66 Batmobile.

Has it really been three years since we first featured Miss Kiss on a Harley Qwednesday post?

Three years?!?! Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't appear to age at all!

Thanks again to Miss Kiss for gracing us with her Quinntastic presence once again! Canada is a warmer place with you around I'm sure.

Be sure to check out all those involved in the creation of this costume and photoshoot at the links above.

And Miss Kiss herself can be found at her Facebook Page. Go check her out!

Harley Qwednesday :: Shotgun!

Since we're all about the Batmobile this week after experiencing the auction where it sold for $4.2 Million, how about a page from Detective Comics #700, wtih Harley riding shotgun in the Batmobile.

Of course I can't help but be reminded of Toyriffic's introduction to the amazing Miss Kiss when she, as Harley Quinn, slipped behind the wheel of the Batmobile:

If you never saw the full set of Miss Kiss/Batmobile pics, check them out. And if you have seen them, it sure won't hurt to check them out again.

Harleyween Quinndown 2012 Part 5 :: Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Before I get to the 'big reveal' you've all been waiting for, I just wanted to thank everyone for stopping by throughout this year's Countdown. Whether you're a new reader or a seasoned Toyruffian, I hope you found something to entertain you and that you come back during the rest of the year (especially November (my birthday month) and December (Christmas) which both mean lots of new toys!) to read my insane ramblings.

Speaking of insanity, all my Universal Monsters TMNT figures (joined by a couple spare Slash figures who are now zombie minions of Bride of Frankenstein April!) wanted to see you all off in style...

'Y'all come back now, y'hear?'

And now, for the moment you've all been waiting for...I once again turn the blog over to Miss Kiss herself:

"So I went outside on this lovely fall day to take this final picture for all you wonderful people....just as a very little boy and his mother (?) come around to deliver the papers. And when heading back inside, my Neighbour walks by with her dog. So Harley was out and about to scandalize the block once again! Ha! Enjoy! And I hope you all have a fantastic Harley-Ween full of belly aches from too much candy and restless sleeps from too many horror flicks!

xxmiss kissxx"

Wowzers.

Once again, a million billion trillion thanks to Miss Kiss for sharing her costume and creation process with us all. She is no doubt in the Great Pumpkin's good graces for all eternity!

And a Happy Halloween to everyone!

Harleyween Quinndown 2012 Part 4

Take it away Miss Kiss:

"All together with the new shorts! I still need to make the garters so the stockings have help staying up."

"Starting the wrist ruffles. And these are the Bane of my existence. I have sewn one of them 4 TIMES! Lots of trial and error."

"The ONE that is done. Seriously hate these things....I will make them work one way or another! I am not too sure how this one will hold up so I am still experimenting with the other."

"THE RUFFLES ARE FINISHED!!! YAAAAY!!! And you know what, after the 4th or 5th time trying new things, I finally got it and they work really well!! I am happy how they look too. Needless to say, the second one was much easier to do."

"So here are the "Modesty" shorts with the garters attached. Gotta keeps those stockings up!!"

"I am keeping the bra the same as my previous outfit, as I am still super happy with it and feel that making a "family friendly" version of that would mean I should have just made Harley's original one piece suit. My collar piece I made for the original will be kept as well.

I am also hoping to add the cork gun to my props as soon as possible. Looking online and talking with folks about that item as I do not have the skills myself."

Incredible work, Miss Kiss, and I can't thank you enough for this peek at your...creative process ;)

Harleyween Quinndown 2012 Part 3

More leg? But I ordered a breast!

"Gloves and stockings together with the original bottoms I use for my burlesque routine! Some folks thought it would be a good idea to have more "family appropriate" bottoms for conventions etc...so on to those!"

"Pinning up the new shorts! More coverage....."

"Sewing the shorts! No diamonds on these as I have enough diamonds with the arms and thighs."

I sure hope you remembered to remove the pins, Miss Kiss. YEOWCH!

Next week: let's see if they get my order right!

Harleyween Quinndown 2012 Part 2

Told ya:

"Completed stockings with contrast bands! Those boots need some work"

"Painting one boot red with a sponge so I don't get a bunch of streaks. I do 2 layers of red to make sure it is dense and covered. I leave these to dry in between sewing!"

"I already had a pair of short red gloves that I used and bought a pair of black ones. Made the arms in the same fashion as the stockings but with no contrasting band. Diamonds are a girls best friend! Saving the wrist ruffles for last as I know they will be a pain...."

Looking good, Miss Kiss!

Harleyween Quinndown 2012 Part 1

I have something special for you kiddos all through October: I've not only combined Harley Qwednesday with Countdown to Halloween 2012, but I've also got the exclusive 'making of' pics for Miss Kiss' newest variation on her Harley Quinn pin-up costume - leading up to the full finished costume reveal on Halloween itself (or should I say 'Harleyween!?!?)

Miss Kiss was kind enough to share with me pictures of her new costume in progress, and I will share them on Toyriffic every Qwednesday this month, culminating in the finished product on October 31st.

So without further ado, here are your first three pics and notes from Miss Kiss herself:

"I started with a little inspiration and then got to work on a sketch."

"Just me pinning the diamonds onto the stockings. I pinned and sewed the diamonds on first to make things easier!!!"

"Sewing on the diamonds. Tricky with stretch fabric!!"

That's all for today! Tune in next week, you might see some leg!

Harley Qwednesday :: Nothing I say will prepare you for the awesomeness of the following pictures

Harley Quinn ala Bettie Page Pin-Up style in lingerie...and in the Barris '66 Batmobile!
Speechless. Therefore, a quote from Vancouver Sun:

Jacqueline Breakwell, 24 from Surrey aka "Harley-quinn," the Joker's girlfriend, tries out the Batmobile. Comic book heroes and fans gathered together for a two-day event the FanExpo at the Vancouver Convention Centre in Vancouver on Saturday.

And some words from Jacqueline herself:

I grew up watching B:TAS with my brother, as well as the Tim Burton originals and that's where my love of Batman and The Joker started. Obviously what followed is my love of the amazing Harley Quinn!

The outfit I made started as a photoshoot I was doing as a gift for my man for x-mas. During the shoot, Shimona Henry (the photographer -Pin Up Perfection) and I decided that I had to make it into a Burlesque number.

I am a trained musical theatre performer, who does Burlesque as well under the name "Miss Kiss". The costume has changed a bit since the first shoot, as I have continued to do the number, which is the one you see in the photos from FanExpo. The number is about Harley getting psyched up to go out on the town and cause a ruckus! So it has me getting into the costume, and ending with smashing a Batman head filled with candy! Yum! Harley is such a fun character to get lost in! She is badass with a great sense of humour, a little twisted and super sexy.

Getting to sit in the original Batmobile dressed as Harley was so flippin' awesome! I hope it comes back next year and that the FanExpo gets bigger and better!

EDITOR'S NOTE: Shortly after this post was written BubbaShelby was discovered unconscious and unresponsive, eyes wide and dilated, staring catatonically into his monitor. He was rushed to the emergency room and later to Stanford Medical Center, where a team of specialists have gathered in the hopes of removing what can only be defined as a 'permagrin,' and to hopefully stem the super human amount of drool before Bubba completely dehydrates.

And maybe, if medical science has advanced far enough, Doctors will also be able to once again allow Mr. BubbaShelby to blink.

In lieu of flowers, BubbaShelby would probably prefer poster sized prints of the above images lining his hospital room, but the Doctors are just gonna poo-poo that idea.
