Red Hood LEGO Minifigure Custom

I've had this odd red enlarged LEGO-esque piece in my LEGO stuff for as long as I can remember. And I always thought it would make a good Red Hood head (hood?) - The problem? It didn't actually fit over a minifigure's neck piece.

Well I finally busted out the drill-bits and made it fit! unfortunately, I drilled too far and instead of the little LEGO nub at top, now there's just a hole. I am considering gluing a nub up there so his head looks like an enlarged LEGO head piece, but the hole is ok for now, and only a problem if you look at him from above!

I like the effect, because Red Hood is a guy (The Joker, sometimes Jason Todd) with a helmet over his head. A simple red LEGO head piece wouldn't have had the correct effect. This looks like a LEGO red dome over a LEGO head! I added the Red Hood to a LEGO tuxedo piece I have, and gave him black gloves...maybe white gloves would be better? He is also holding a BrickArms grenade launcher.

Random Toy Pic :: Custom Lego Black Mask

I've always preferred the Batman villain Black Mask's original forties gangster look over his more recent Pacino Scarface representation. So I simply took my Lego Minifigures Series 5 Gangster and added skin colored hands and a black skull head, and voila! A Lego Black Mask!

Oh, I also gave him a BrickArms Tommy Gun. The Gangster minifigure came with the violin case, but his simple handgun just wasn't good enough for Black Mask!

Mad Max Custom Lego Minifigures

I got it in my craw to build myself a Mad Max minifigure today. These are the types of things that pop into my head during 'normal business hours' that then drive me crazy through the rest of the day until I get the personal time to get to it.

I don't yet have his dog, nor have I built 'The last of the Interceptors.' And I'm not sure if I will, because I don't think I have enough black pieces to give the Australian Falcon a fair shake. But at least I have a halfway decent Max, made up of random minifigure parts I have lying around. Fortunately I was able to give him a sawed-off double-barreled shotgun from BrickArms which I've had for a while, because when I think of sawed-off shotguns, I think of Max.

The idea to make a Mad Max actually started when I found this odd medievel torture helmet in the living room the other day. Toyriffic's intern had taken it from her brother's room and it had made it's way into the carpet. Not sure what figure or set it originally came from (he thinks it was an Atlantis set maybe), but it reminded me immediately of the big mentally challenged Thunderdome gladiator with a midget on his back. Even though I haven't seen 'Beyond Thunderdome' in over twenty years. That's how my brain works.

This guy is made from the Tarzan minifigure's head and torso, some random legs and that unidentified helmet.

Now all I need is the midget.

With a new Mad Max movie looming and the potential marketing behind it, I'm sure we WON'T see any Lego Mad Max sets. but if we could get some decent Mad Max die-cast vehicles, I'll be happy. I need a 1:64 Interceptor, stat!

Random Toy Pic :: Riddle Me This...

This is the original Lego Riddler, another new addition to my Lego Gotham ranks, although he was originally released in 2006 as part of the Arkham Asylum set Number 7785. He's holding a 'BrickArms' made Lego 9mm with silencer.
