October is Almost Over

Where did October go ~ it seems like we

were just cruisin' checking out the fall colors.

The leaves have fallen and here in our neck of the

woods our trees have lost a load of pine needles.

This is the last week of October, with trick or

treaters coming on Saturday.  Last year we

had 9 little people come to our house, it being

a Saturday I wonder if more will stop or 

less (I see there is a community party in 

our little town).

A few weeks ago, I spoke briefly about a family 

member who recently had surgery ~ things haven't 

gone so well so she (my MIL) has been back in the

hospital since last Friday.  Next week it will be

a month since she started this difficult journey.

We are hopeful that she will back on her feet

and feeling well soon.

The finishing touches in the "touch up" to the

bathroom are done.  I was looking for those

certain frames and sometimes that can

take awhile.

I wanted a moose, deer or bear picture and after

shopping and looking around at canvas prints etc.

I thought how silly - I have Moose pictures from

our recent trip to the BigHorn Mountains.

Now they are on the wall along with a very 

interesting winding road picture.

Bathroom "touch up" done - no more bathroom

updates until we are ready to do the big 

bathroom remodel whenever that may be.

I heard that there were 8 weeks until Christmas 

that makes me think of snow and cool weather

(our weather hasn't been bad and I still don't

have all of the yard things put away).

Christmas plans are in the making ~ our

immediate family this year did the name drawing.

Will be nice "not" having the holiday in the 

middle of the week ~ I will be looking

forward to the holidays!

Cruisin'

Sunday we had awesome weather in the

80's.   Even saw 88 degrees in the afternoon.

I soaked up some Vitamin D as we cruised.

I wish I could package that warmth away to

save for a winter day  :)

The trees were spectacular... in the Aitkin

County area.

A Busy Week

It has been a tad busy around here ~ I have

plenty to blog about but haven't had time

to get that done.

A family member the last several weeks

has been given "lots" of lemons, hopefully

this unplanned surgery and some physical 

therapy will have her up and about soon.

Work has been busy ~ and I have this beautiful

fall view through my window.

Fall Is Going Tooo Fast

The days are going by way too fast! It

gets dark now way too soon - I need more

of the fall season!

We have some color in the yard...

Daughters Maple Tree - which is now
starting to show its age with some of the
branches cracking or breaking....

My two pots of flowers are still quite pretty.

And since I was on the road this morning ~ I
saw some of the sunrise.

Looking for Fall Colors

This weekend we will be out looking

for the fall colors.   My header is from

a few years back - our beautiful maple

tree in the yard.

I haven't seen anything this vibrant - we

have a couple of big trees up in the woods that

are quite often bright yellow/gold and 

beautiful.  When I last looked they are not

bright.

Hopefully we will be doing some driving and

also getting up into the Smokey Hills - come

on fall colors!
