Fern Peony

This is my fern peony this year ~ it was covered
several nights when the temps got low.

I have had it now 9 years ~

My inspiration is this beautiful one
at the cemetery and it actually
was started by hubby's aunt ~ it is
gorgeous.

This one at the cemetery has always been
this large and plentiful.

The only other time I have seen them is
in Southern MN when our daugther-in-law
graduated from college, the home she
was renting had a beautiful yard with
several fern peonies growing like any
other perennial.  I was in awe ~ it
looked so easy!

Pern Feony Challenge

Here is  my Fern Peony ~ or as I said
the other day after talking about it
several times, my "Pern Feony"

This little gem I planted in 2012 and
I have attempted to baby it trying to get
it to grow.   Last fall (2014), I moved it
to a spot with more sun hoping that
will help.

The only thing it has not done, is died.
I should get a sign to put by it that
says, "Grow Dammit"

This is its' new spot:

This is my inspiration ~ isn't it
beautiful!

tonight I will be removing those weeds that
have popped up and giving it a little bit of fertilizer.

Just maybe someday it will grow!
