Masterful Propaganda film
Triumph of the Will was commissioned by Hitler in 1934 and directed by Leni Riefenstahl, and covers the events of the Sixth Nuremberg Party Congress. The original intention was to document the early days of the NSDAP, so future generations could look back and see how the Third Reich began. In reality, Triumph of the Will shows historians how the Nazi state drew in the masses through propaganda and also how Adolf Hitler had a unique and terrifying ability to entice crowds to his beliefs by the very power of his words.

Viewing this spectacle of uniform humanity from start to end, and knowing the history behind the events, is mesmerizing and chilling. Leni Riefenstahl (the director) gave this cinematic document incredible power through a very flowing storyline of parades and speeches and amazing views through the lens.
Watching Hitler gain momentum from one speech to the next to the point of dogmatic supremacy where the thousands of spectators were entranced by his delivery can leave one in shocked wonderment. This movie ought to be considered one of the most important produced simply for the worldwide events it helped create.
And if I had a say I'd have every kid 12 and up viewing at least the last half hour of it after giving them a history lesson as to how Hitler came to power and the effects it had on the world.

IMDB rates this film 8/10!
Enjoy!
My note - no matter the political implications the Director was awesome and its a bit of a shame she was 'blackballed' after WW2 - she had talent! This film is worth watching outside of the propaganda (which is very interesting in and of itself).
