MUSIC: Incredible Prog from Scandinavia

ANEKDOTEN: VEMOD (1993)

This is one of the finest examples of Prog I've ever heard. If you love King Crimson (as I do) this recording will blow you away. Simply put, they sound MORE like "red" era Crimson than Crimson DID!
"Anekdoten is the most famous example of the new Scandinavian School. This trend mixes dark and gloomy influences with an extreme energy a bit in the way of King Crimson on "Red" or Univers Zero. The orchestration includes Mellotron and cello (All performed by the pretty vocalist Anna Sofi Dahlberg!) and allows to turn in one second from a vaporous atmosphere to the paroxysm of frenzy." Find a dead link?

If you run across a file that is no longer accessible please leave a comment on the post. I may be able to upload it again. Also note if you come across a 'corrupt' file this is most likely do to a error while downloading (If it's a post older than a couple days you can guarantee that others have already downloaded it with good results or there would be other bad comments posted) Just try the download again but be sure to delete the corrupt one from your HD. also note you may want to restart your computer if your having troubles with a download site - cookies sometimes need to re set for some download sites. (Anonymous comments are OK)
