Movie: Angel on My Shoulder (1946)

The strange story of Eddie Kagle... the man they couldn't keep down!

Gangster Eddie Kagel (Paul Muni) is killed by a trusted lieutenant and finds himself in Harry Redmond Jr's special-effects Hell, where Nick/The Devil (Claude Rains) sees that he is an-exact double for a judge who Nick doesn't approve of. Eddie is agreeable to having his soul transferred to the judge's body, as it will give him a chance to avenge himself on his killer. But every action taken by Eddie (as the judge) results in good rather than evil and, to Nick's dismay, the reputation and influence of the judge is enhanced, rather than impaired by Eddie.

Movie : Terror Is a Man (1959)

The lone survivor of the sinking of the "Pedro Queen," William Fitzgerald (Richard Derr) washes ashore on a remote Pacific island one thousand miles off the coast of Peru. He is taken in by Dr. Girard (Francis Lederer) and his wife, Frances (Greta Thyssen). Fitzgerald soon learns that the doctor is conducting unusual medical experiments on the island, assisted by his wife, who is a nurse, and a few servants.
Shortly after Fitzgerald's arrival, he learns that a "panther" is loose on the island and has even killed people.
He is puzzled when he learns that the native villagers have fled the island, allegedly because they fear what the doctor might be doing.
The mystery deepens when Fitzgerald starts investigating the mystery of the doctor and the creature he is working on.

Recommendation: The War Of The Stars: A New Hope Grindhouse

Not for 'pureists' but if your a fan of Grindhouse films and a fan of Star Wars i have come across the greatest thing ever - Star Wars the grindhouse edition fanedit! Complete reworking of the original tale with Grindhouse cuts and scratches added to a newly edited film. Deleted scenes and alternate takes are used along with behind the scene clips and also edits from other stuff like 'Troops'. This has been lovingly done by the Man Behind the Mask. Now youll want to expect a true grindhouse experience complete with a projection room burnout of the film which is followed by a reel in black and white. Some additional effects (like a few bloody laser shots) and also a appearance by Neil Young in the canteena make for a fun filled flashback which you think you may have seen before but it was never like this.

even if you didnt like the original Star Wars (you heathen) give this a try. Its available at some sites and also on torrents - go search it out, youll be glad you did. How often can one wonder if you just saw jeans on R2d2? That question will be answered within!

Most of the story-line revolves around a secret new explosive that a scientist has invented, which the villains would obviously love to get their hands on. Some of the better moments come when the main action interferes with Drummond's plans to marry Phyllis (Louise Campbell), while flustering the befuddled but ever-helpful Algy (Reginald Denny).

John Barrymore is always good fun as Colonel Neilson, and he makes good use of his opportunities here, while E.E. Clive does likewise as the quick-witted Tenny.

The intended wedding of Captain Hugh "Bulldog" Drummond (John Howard) to Phyllis Clavering (Louise Campbell) at her villa in Switzerland is stopped short (once again) when someone murders the Swiss policeman who is guarding their wedding presents. The killer makes off with their prize possession, a synthetic diamond, made by a secret process by Professor Bernard Goodman (Halliwell Hobbes), the father of their good friend Gwen Longworth (Nydia Westman). A guest, Sir Raymond Blantyre (Matthew Boulton), head of the Metropolitan Diamond Syndicate, disappears at the same time, and Drummond suspects that Sir Raymond, who has the most to lose if Professor Goodman proceeds with his plans to publish his secret process, has something to do with the theft. He leaves Phyllis and chases back to England. Colonel Nielsen (John Barrymore), of Scotland Yard, as usual scoffs at Drummond's suspicions and insists that a man as respected as Sir Raymond could not possibly be involved in such a crime. But, as usual, he has Drummond followed just in the event he turns up something unexpected......

Movie : YONGARY - Monster from the Deep

Yonggary or Yongary ( Taekoesu Yongary lit. Great Monster Yongary), also known as Yongary, Monster from the Deep, is a 1967 South Korean teukchwal ( "special effects" or tokusatsu) film directed by prominent genre-film director Kim Ki-duk (no relation to the art film director Kim Ki-duk). In 1999, director Shim Hyung-rae filmed a remake in name only of the film which was retitled Reptilian in the United States.

In the Middle East, a bomb is set off that creates massive earthquakes. Meanwhile in South Korea, a young couple is about to get married and the tension builds when South Korea sends a space shuttle to investigate the bomb site. The earthquake makes its way to South Korea, caused by a giant monster named Yongary (inspired by a mythical creature in Korean lore). Yongary attacks Seoul and makes his way to the oil refineries where he consumes the oil. A child related to the aforementioned couple turns off the refineries' oil basins; Yonggary, enraged, starts attacking until an explosion at the refinery proves to have a chemical effect on it. The Korean Government then uses oil to draw Yonggary to a local river, and kills it with a refined version of the compound.

Movie : Wolf Blood 1925

Dick Bannister is the new field boss of the Ford Logging Company, a Canadian logging-crew during a time when conflicts with the powerful Consolidated Lumber Company, a bitter rival company, have turned bloody, like a private war. His boss, Miss Edith Ford, comes to inspect the lumberjack camp, bringing her doctor fiancé with her. Dick is attacked by his rivals and left for dead. His loss of blood is so great that he needs a transfusion, but no human will volunteer, so the surgeon uses a wolf as a source of the blood. Afterwards, Dick begins having dreams where he runs with a pack of phantom wolves, and the rival loggers get killed by wolves. Soon, these facts have spread through the camp and most of the lumberjacks decide that Dick is a werewolf.

a bit slow even for classic horror fans but it is history and I think it should be watched at least once.
