Moonshadow is a 1985–1987 Limited series written and created by J. M. DeMatteis and illustrated by Jon J. Muth and Kent Williams as well as George Pratt. The comic was inspired by the Cat Stevens song of the same name.
Originally published as a twelve-issue maxi-series by Marvel Comics under the Epic imprint and the first comic whose art was done entirely by painting, it was subsequently reprinted as a single volume in 1989.
This also includes Farewell, Moonshadow, a one-issue sequel, also published by Vertigo, detailing Moonshadow's adult life.
