I first discovered this band back in 2011 with their Orogeny release and I really liked that disc at that moment in time but then in 2015 their next album Eyes Alive didn't connect with me. Fast forward to last week when my oldest friend nuttinface coerced me into listening to this their new release and I am very glad that he did. The style has morphed over the years and I am into it again.

I only learned about this release a couple of weeks ago from DDM's Best Of 2022 list and I was immediately super excited to listen to this and while I thoroughly enjoyed their previous releases I am still not sure how I feel about this disc. It is very different from their earlier work in my opinion. This has moments I really like but I'm still adjusting to their progression. I want to give it more time and attention to make up my mind.

It seems that this band first formed in '96 and then immediately called it quits until 2020 and then in '22 released this their first full-length album. Still featuring 2 original members, one of which is the bass player from Cerebral Extinction, and one of the new members is the vocalist from Deathcrush. This disc came out in April of last year and I completely ignored it, primarily because of the slam tag, I am not a slam fan by any stretch of the imagination.
