A week or so ago, I came across this disc at one of the download sites, and immediately the grimy LoFi artwork caught my eye. I instantly thought to myself that this would either be some shitty-sounding OSDM wannabes or some killer death metal, so I went over to their BC page, and by the middle of the 2nd track, I hit the purchase button, which means I have respect for it. From what I can tell, Glutted Swarm is the brainchild of this dude, who wrote all the songs back in 2012/13 and then waited until now to pull together a talented group of session musicians to help him perform & record these tracks. They aren't doing anything that hasn't been done before, but they're doing it really well, and the songs have aged well too.
