I had two different "Vomit bands" in my July folder: this one and the next post, Vomitizer. I really didn't expect much out of either album, and then I ended up liking both releases a lot. It goes to show that first impression bias can be very damaging. Portugal has been generating a lot of good bands/releases over the past several years and this is another one.
