I am not sure why, but I let first impressions have a strong influence on whether I listen to certain bands, and Contempt is one of those bands. I bought their first album a few years after its release, and it was my first time hearing the band. For some reason, and I am not saying the album is bad, but I wasn't taken with it. Because of that, I haven't really listened to them over the years, and when I heard this album, I was very pleasantly surprised by how much I am into it.

I've had this CD for at least 20 years now, but it was never one of my "go-to" favorites. However, I do like their newest release quite a lot. Interestingly, I see this received a 90% review score at Metal Archives, which kinda surprised me. To each his own I guess. This is my own CD rip.
