Captivity & Devourment represents the first real release from Armageddon in 13 years and after following up their debut with a couple of progressive power metal releases in the early 2000's, this approach is a pleasant surprise for me. A lot of people may not like this disc at all, but I am totally cool with it.

Christopher Amott (ex-Arch Enemy) started this band as a side project and now it is his full time gig. This album features Jonas Nyrén (In Thy Dreams) on vocals and Peter Wildoer (Darkane, Non-Human Level) on drums. This is 90's Swedish melo-death, they would go on to become more of a progressive power metal band and now IMO they have returned to form in 2015 with a modern melodic death release. HQ rip.
