Ruthless is from LA and still active it seems. I heard this album much later than '84 but I appreciate it because it is a prime example of power metal back in that time period.

This is one of my favorite albums from back in that time period. Helstar were so far ahead of other bands back then, and I was the first one in my circle who knew about them, so I would take this album to every party that I went to back then, and convince the party giver to play it or commandeer the sound system and play it myself. Killer metal and my own rip \m/\m/

I have to admit that I have not really listened to much of Jag Panzer's later work but I found this back in the day and I knew then that I had discovered something awesome. This album was one of the early prototypes of the style that would become US power metal \m/\m/

Country: Canada

9. War Is Hell

Witness: -[*]-
Another of my early '80s favorites. At the time, I would take over the stereo at every party I went to and play the hell outta this album. Exciter was a 3 piece band and somewhat unique in that the drummer; Dan Beehler, was also the vocalist. This album was all power chords and blasting drums, good shit!

Witch Cross - Fit For Fight [1984]

Artist: Witch Cross
Album: Fit For Fight
Year: 1984
Genre: Heavy Metal
Web: https://www.facebook.com/WitchCross/
Country: Denmark
Quality: 320 kbps

Tracklist:
1. Night Flight to Tokyo
2. Face of a Clown
3. Rocking the Night Away
4. Killer Dogs
5. Fight the Fire
6. Axe Dance
7. Light of a Torch
8. Alien Savage

Witness: -[*]-
When I found this album in my local record store back in '84, I took it home and fell in love with it. I must say that the vocals were a bit too melodic even for me at that time but I still liked this album immensely. I mean, tracks like Face of a Clown, Killer Dogs, the instrumental Axe Dance and Alien Savage showed so much musical talent & ability back then and now.

This was one of my favorite bands in the early '80s and there are about 9 very good tracks here from their early career and I liked their next release, Power of the Night a lot as well. Criss Oliva was a very good guitarist but he and his brother didn't always make consistent music or hold the band together and then Criss died too soon (RIP) \m/\m/

Genre: Heavy Metal / Power Metal
Web: https://youtu.be/v5o5VLJVk4o

1. The Dungeons Are Calling

Savatage was one of my favorite bands from the heyday of the '80s, and the first 4 tracks on this EP are a good illustration of the potential that they had. In my opinion, their downfall was that they could never quite put together an entire album of killer tracks, and the fact that their guitarist; Criss Oliva died much too young (RIP) \m/\m/

This bands only studio release, it's very melodic and tame by today's standards, but I used to wear this album out back in the day.
