Au Pairs - Pinkpop 1982, Tonmodern 1983

Au Pairs - Pinkpop Festival
Sittard-Geleen, Netherlands
1982, May the 31st

AUD > ??? > CDR > EAC Secure > FLAC Frontend(8)
39:38 minutes - Sound: Very Good (+)

How about another helping of Au Pairs?  OK then, here we have
another well recorded festival appearance.  The vocals are
intermittently a tad muffled, and there is also very occasional
bass distortion - both issues are very minor and this is an
enjoyable listen.

Cheers, Cyrus

Au Pairs...Still Kicking!!

In case you missed it...
A Dave Sez contribution!

Au Pairs - Birmingham Golden Eagle
September 13, 1980 Birmingham, UK
Soundboard @ FLAC

The Au Pairs were a British post-punk band that formed in Birmingham in 1978 and lasted until 1983. They produced two studio albums and three singles. Their songs
were said to have "contempt for the cliches of contemporary sexual politics" and their music has been compared to the Gang of Four and the Young Marble Giants. The band was led by Lesley Woods, who was once described as "one of the most striking women
in British rock". ~Wiki

Au Pairs - Live Lund, Sweden 1982

A Dave Sez Contribution...

Au Pairs - Lund, Sweden 1982
Audience Recording B+ @FLAC

From the Dave Sez archive:
The last of the Au Pairs posts, live in Sweden on 23rd September 1982, six months before the group folded. Being an audience recording, this is of lesser quality than the previous FM or soundboard sources, but is the best of the recordings from 1982 and includes every track from "Sense and Sensuality" except Tongue In Cheek and Fiasco. Their last recorded gig, probably in Vienna in February 1983, is available at http://433rpm.blogspot.com/2010/09/au-pairs-live-1983-tape-1983.html, and featured several new compositions, live versions of the demos they recorded for a third album that never saw the light of day ...

Lion Love

Two demos only released on out-of-print 1993 RPM CD 16-track release of "Sense and Sensuality", see http://www.discogs.com/Au-Pairs-Sense-Sensuality/release/391473. They were excluded from Castle's 2002 10-track CD re-release, which corrected earlier speed problems.

The four remaining 1983 demos are included on the 2006 Au Pairs anthology, available in FLAC/320 at http://onlythelonelymusic.blogspot.com/2013/11/au-pairs-stepping-out-of-line-anthology.html. These two tracks would only otherwise be recorded at the Au Pairs' last gig, probably in February 1983 in Vienna, available here: http://433rpm.blogspot.com/2010/09/au-pairs-live-1983-tape-1983.html.
