28mm Modern Civilians for Zombie Gaming part 3...what are their chances?

Some more candidates for surviving the upcoming apocalypse, figures are from Hasslefree Miniatures and have yourselves a good weekend...I'm off to the Military Tattoo in London on Saturday (early Christmas present).

This guy is a bit of a lump, college student, possible college football player, maybe a linebacker...or a golfer? 7 out of 10

This little lady caught sunbathing at the beach when hostilities broke out, vulnerable, no supplies or clothes but plenty of possible suitors will volunteer to protect her? 8 out of 10

He'll protect her!

Nice hat!

28mm Painted Survivor Sisters for Modern or Zombie Gaming.

Still painting miniatures for modern and zombie gaming as painting the same scale or period for a long period of time can make me weird(er) so I like to paint different things just for a change. The figures Billie and Rose are from Hasslefree Miniatures and I did take a lot of pictures but only 3 were usable (I do need a new camera or I was blinder that day than normal) but the scale picture with a 20mm miniature at least turned out.

Billie.

Rose (weird child).

The miniature to the left is 20mm WW2.

28mm Painted Hasslefree Martial Artist Miniature: Osato

....crouching tiger, kicking dragon in the unmentionables.

This is the sort of character that enters the room and knocks seven colours of faeces out of the opposition until someone cheats and shoots him, he's from Hasslefree Miniatures martial artist range and is from my samurai range as a monk/Ikko Ikki character, more pictures of Portuguese and Samurai including ninja, more buildings, siege equipment etc...next week.

28mm Painted Hasslefree Miniature: Tetsuhara the Sumo

Going on annual leave from today until the beginning of May so my posting and commenting will be a bit hit and run but I'll be about as I'm not really going anywhere, going to be nice doing feck all.

Sumo (相撲, sumō?) is a competitive full-contact sport where a wrestler (rikishi) attempts to force another wrestler out of a circular ring (dohyō) or to touch the ground with anything other than the soles of the feet. The sport originated in Japan, the only country where it is practiced professionally. It is generally considered to be a gendai budō (a modern Japanese martial art), though this definition is incorrect as the sport has a history spanning many centuries. Many ancient traditions have been preserved in sumo, and even today the sport includes many ritual elements, such as the use of salt purification, from the days when sumo was used in the Shinto religion. Life as a rikishi is highly regimented, with rules laid down by the Sumo Association. Most sumo wrestlers are required to live in communal "sumo training stables" known in Japanese as heya where all aspects of their daily lives—from meals to their manner of dress—are dictated by strict tradition.

More information can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sumo

Nice Sumo figure from their martial artists range, I own a few of them to add colour to my samurai period.

28mm Painted Hasslefree Miniatures: Hazmat Team

Painted 28mm Hazmat Team from Hasslefree Miniatures, you can see another (better) painted version on Vampifan's blog http://vampifansworldoftheundead.blogspot.com/2011/04/hasslefree-hazmat-troopers.html along with versions from Copplestones Castings and EM4 Miniatures. I think I was a bit heavy with the ink on these but they are lovely figures (if a little small) but we need more poses to go with them.

Size and scale pictures included.

28mm Painted Hasslefree Miniature: Beach Babe Libby.

........and no I don't know why I bought it.

28mm painted hasslefree miniature called Beach Babe Libby, it's not easy painting a tiny bikini, I justify the figure as a zombie lure or as a human version of the judas goat (leads the unwary into somewhere where they don't come out of again maybe).

28mm Painted Hasslefree Miniature: Wolsey.

......to me that's shaggy, can you say scooby snacks!

28mm figure from Hasslefree Miniatures called Wolsey but he looks like Shaggy from Scooby Doo to me, he has been painted to be an orderly to go with my surgeons from Black Cat Bases.

Comparison pictures to show you the scale.

28mm Painted Hasslefree Miniature: Madge.

..........or where have those damn corgi's gone.

28mm painted Hasslefree Miniature listed as Madge but a stunning resemblance to a reigning british monarch and loaded for zombie. Very nice figure with some scale and size comparison pictures.
The tents I bought a long time ago from a company in Germany (whose name for the life of me I cannot remember), they come ready painted in the green but I painted one up to represent a hazmat tent .

28mm Painted Heresy Miniature: Doctor Who?

............or as Heresy say Dr Hugh McGrimmon.

This is the Dr Hugh McGrimmon figure from Heresy Miniatures  http://www.heresyminiatures.com/ who looks remarkably like a TV sci-fr hero who saves earth most weeks, to me he is that cocky git who knows everything and annoys the crap out of the locals before saving the day or as a health and safety enforcer. In my games he is a survivor or goverment advisor but he's a nice figure with a variety of gaming uses.

28mm Painted Hasslefree Miniature: Marv from the movie Sin City.

..........................or as Hasslefree Miniatures call him Harby.

Painted this figure to represent Marv from the movie Sin City (based on the graphic novels by Frank Miller) played by Mickey Rourke in one of his best roles, the movie is excellent but the story with Marv is the best in the movie. I should mention that the figure comes with other pieces to represent Hellboy from the movie.....Hellboy!

That's why they call him Harby!
