15mm Modern Peter Pig IDF Israeli M113 Zelda......

.........includes bodging!

Zelda - Upgraded M113 with Toga armor suite - perforated steel plates mounted on an external frame around the front and sides of the vehicle.

The Peter Pig version comes like this.........

I wanted to add a few sandbags like some Zelda's in the field........

......and with some green stuff and a little swearing! Behold........

..........probably could be a lot more sandbags but didn't want to obscure too much?

15mm IDF Israeli Merkava Mark 4 Main Battle Tanks from.....

......Khurasan Miniatures.

Motivation and other factors have meant I didn't enter the Analogue Hobbies Painting Challenge this year, good luck to the brave 100 (except Ray)!

Theses were painted earlier in the year..........

These resin tanks with metal parts are from Khurasan and are very decent casts, very little fuss, no markings for them yet.

There is a 15mm IDF trooper for a little scale help.........

These are actual IDF Merkavas........

15mm Israeli and US M109 Self Propelled Howitzers from.....

......Battlefronts Team Yankee!

Painted a while ago and to be honest they are more scenery than anything as they have a real life conventional range of 18km but I like them, not the right version as well but they'll do me.Added some 15mm extras from the bitz box and there you go.......

They need some markings at a later date, the US one is painted Tallarn Sand from GW and the Idf pair are Sinai grey from the Vallejo model air range (lots of coats). Not a bad kit compared to some of the others in the range but the eyesight is fading and the 2 foot rule is in effect........

The M109 is an American 155mm self-propelled howitzer, first introduced in the early 1960s. It has been upgraded a number of times, most recently to the M109A7. The M109 family is the most common western indirect-fire support weapon of maneuver brigades of armored and mechanized infantry divisions.

15mm Modern Israeli Defence Forces IDF from....

.........Khurasan Miniatures.

15mm Modern Israelis wearing the mitznefet helmet cover (the purpose of the helmet cover is to break up the distinctive outline of a helmeted head and aid with camouflage). There is little known on the make up of a Israeli platoon but eventually after much searching and asking I settled on 3 squads of 12 made up of 4 fire teams each plus a platoon leader.

There were some normal helmeted figures but they didn't look right and their heads were quite small (in my opinion).

Khurasan promise some armor in the near future, QRF do some but I have had some bad experiences with their mold lines so I might wait!

They carry a mixture of M-16's, Tavors, Negev LMG's and Shipon anti tank weapons!

Will there be support weapons, forgot to ask!

15mm Modern IDF or Franonian Infantry Platoon.

In reality they're Peter Pig IDF modern infantry but I'm using them as Franonian infantry for protecting the fledging state of Franonia, they're will soon be militia, armour, flags, police and enemies etc.......

The blogroll problem has been solved by a suggestion from Rebel Barracks to have two or more blogrolls, so I did and it's working......

15mm Peter Pig Dictator and Bodyguard and......

....Franonia!

Good weekend as I saw 2 movies on Sunday at the cinema (3 in total last week) as my friend turned up (Vinnie) and we hit the movies (Haywire and Underworld: Awakening 3D, my first ever 3D movie experience), nearly got involved in a altercation with a fecking couple who talked through nearly a whole movie but they backed off and will review the movies this week and next.....

The figure you see below may represent me when I started to run a small country in the late 1990's on the borders of the middle east and Africa but I can't say exactly due to the CIA saying I still owe them!

I've decided it will be a hypothetical country (maybe) and region but the figures and vehicles will be real with rebels, insurgents, security contractors, US forces and Franonian troops, etc.....

Below is a Peter Pig dictator figure with IDF figures representing the bodyguard and GAZ jeeps as transport...already started to design a flag.....

...and of course I realise I'm bonkers!
