A care package, eye moisture and I'm coming back........again!

Ray has been nagging me about my blogging output this year and I was bitching about him not sending my goddaughters Christmas present from last year, so slackbladder says that he would be at the other Partizan and did I want anything, I initially ( after initial paralysis) said a couple of MDF bases and some basing material if he was feeling flush ( if you knew the old Ray this was funny).

Then a couple of days ago this arrived, a little battered and bruised.........

The top box contained the unpainted 28mm Trelawney's  Dumbarton's Regiment of Foot 1685 and after noticing the little hole I'm hoping the whole amount he sent too!

Speechless........

The air was quite dusty that day and some random air blown grit caused some moisture to accumulate in my ocular region, now a lot of you fellow bloggers and people who have met Ray have said what a bollox he is but finally he is a good sweet caring bollox!

Now back to blogging (feeling a lot better) I continue with my 15mm modern and sci-fi work when I can but may post the odd movie or book review as caravan life permits..........

2014 was in all honesty an awful year, depressing job, mounting debts, stress, high blood pressure, England becoming a less pleasant place to live for several reasons, bailiffs, anger, selling figure collection to survive, diabetes suicidal thoughts etc........blah, blah, blah!

So the other half decided that we should sell the house, move to a farm in the Republic of Ireland.........so we have and tomorrow we are!

I won't bore you with the drama of selling a house these days or packing up a man shed but we paid off the debts, bought a needs some work three and a half acre property in Ireland (lock, stock and two smoking barrels) and that was that.........

I'm going to miss England especially the friends I've met, the bloggers, the shows, the games, the best friends, becoming a Reject, the last few years of the eleven and a half years at GSK.............

So I'm off and will be back blogging regularly as soon as I can, painting, planting potatoes and turnips, becoming calmer, being Irish........

Currently still laptop free but using a pad and it can be a fecking nuisance, doing this on friends laptop where I stayed after the sale and transition, painted a lot before finishing work and hope to post in the painting challenge before time runs out, maybe one big post Curt?,.....

15mm Painted Ray "Ironsides" Batista from Rayonia.....

I have painted up the main danger to Franonia and it's peaceful dictatorship and this comes from Ray and his I don't want to do anything you tell me even if it's right attitude to common sense, the figure is from Peter Pig along with his escort of bodyguards and land rover's which are also from Peter Pig....

.......now why is he called "Ironsides" and it's because of his ability to sit in a chair and never get out of it (he even pees sitting down I hear but it could just be propaganda). I have painted him with a ginger tint and you may say but Ray is not ginger or strawberry blonde and I have only one thing to say....hair dye!

Ray has painted a new Mercedes (the vain git) so not much emphasis on this one as I will post his new one soon with personalised number plate (his work)....

The many faces of Wargaming or doing as you're told!

On Sunday Posties Rejects met up for a game of 15mm ancients and as you've possibly heard here and here it was a bit of a disaster for BigLee and Ray, the game was finely set up by Postie with hidden units and possible Favour of the Gods markers all over the place but where the problem started was with one side's man in charge sticking to a plan (in his eyes a good plan) that other's possibly didn't think so!

Now you know me a little and I'm not one to focus on the misery of others (well Ray can be an exception) but I felt sorry for the boys and did a little pictorial tribute to the many faces of wargaming...our hobby.

Will post some of my pictures of my game tomorrow for eye candy purposes, sorry about yesterday but the SWMBO was in her birthday mode so I took the day off and hid.

This is going to be a good day and a good game my friend....
