Load up on guns, bring your friends

This week was supposed to be quiet, but work continues to provide headaches and irritation. I turn to Justin Vivien Bond (in her guise as half of Kiki and Herb) at moments such as these.

Only she can dismember Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer and Nirvana (and the theme from M*A*S*H) at the same time...

HELLO! HELLO! How low?

I know you'll always be the only boy who wanted me the way that I am

"For me there is no opposite sex. For me there is only identity and desire."

It's another "fabulous at 50" celebration today (Thursday 9th May) - the sublime Mx Justin Vivian Bond!

A multi-talented persona - writer, singer, painter, and performance artist - Mx Bond was also the creator of Kiki DuRane, an ageing, alcoholic, female lounge singer and one half of the fantabulosa Kiki and Herb (who we went to see at the Southbank Centre back in 2005). Here's their tribute to this year's Eurovision hopeful, Bonnie Tyler. A unique rendition of Total Eclipse of the Heart...

Mx Bond prefers to be referred to by the prefix "Mx", the pronoun "v" (as opposed to "he" or "she" or variants thereof), and describes v's gender as trans. For a full explanation visit the Justin Vivian Bond website.

Many happy returns to a true diva, by whatever description!

This song is a sing along!

It's that time of year again, and some traditions here at Dolores Delargo Towers will never change...

Season's Greetings! - My Kind Of Panto

It's that day! To some, it's Xmas. To others it is Saturnalia. To most people, it's a day off work and an excuse to eat and drink more in 24 hours than you would normally imbibe in a week. However, there are some things that always come to mind at this time of year - such as Pantomime!

Featuring The Tiger Lillies' Martin Jacques and Justin Bond, in my case...

According to the blurb:
The Twisted Tale Of A Christmas Crack-Whore: A reality faerie tale for our times. Poor Sinderella (Justin Bond) is a whore with deep psychological problems caused by resentment towards her wicked stepmother (Martin Jacques), a sadistic whore with introspective complications. So far, Sinderella's problems can only be assuaged by crack. The world awaits the coming of Prince Charming, whomsoever he/she/it may be.
Season's Greetings, dears...
