Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Noordin Bidor (Since 1997) @ Bidor, Perak, Malaysia.

Back in Bidor again and this round we went and tested the curry fish head at Noordin. We came here on a weekday and boy it was still packed during lunch time.

Forgot what type of fish head we ordered but the serving was pretty fine. Order the usual standard stuff, some chicken, cabbage, lamb etc.

The fish head flesh was fresh, the curry was sublime. Totally finger licking good. The other must order is their version of fried chicken in their own masak merah. Highly addictive! Gimme the fish curry, chicken, some cabbage and salted egg, that's a complete meal. Highly satisfying!

Nasi Kandar Haji Sultan @ Denai Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Random walk in for lunch the other day, place piqued my interest for nasi kandar. Ordered some chicken, telor sotong, some cabbage and mix gravy.

I find it pretty decent for a nasi kandar in Shah Alam. Place is clean and servers are attentive. Yeah, good stuff!

Restoran Nasi Kandar Shaaz @ Taman Subang Perdana, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Found another hidden gem in Subang Perdana, a good nasi kandaq! Superb.

Don't forget to ask for the kerak from the frying of chicken to top up on your plate. Mix gravy, ooohhhhh yummy. Try the mutton curry as well for some heart clogging arteries, beautiful.

Nasi Kandar Imigresen @ Penang, Malaysia.

Yes, finally managed to check this Nasi Kandar Imigresen and boy was the queue long. Waited for roughly 45 mins.

We just piled everything on the plates, I actually shared the first plate with a friend. Superb, the amount of gravy on rice, with the add ons, everything was perfect.

Tajuddin Hussain Nasi Kandar (Tajuddin Hussain) @ Penang, Malaysia.

This time friend brought me here for some nasi kandar in Penang. I gotta tell you, it's freaking awesome.

Ordered the yellow rice, chicken and fried shallots with mix gravy. I made a mistake though, forgot to ask for the coconut sambal. The whole concoction was spot on, superb taste and definitely a food coma experience after this.

Restoran New Apollos @ Subang Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.

Read that there was a famous beef hor fun in this coffee shop here in Subang, called my regular brunch mates and off we went.

We just went nuts and order quite a bit from some of the stalls.

The Bangkok lane mee goreng sotong was good.

Now that beef hor fun looks familiar, a quick check at the stall, it's written there Soo Kee's Son from Jalan Imbi. Taste wise? Yup yummy.

Nasi Kandar Penang Road @ Ara Damansara, PJ, Selangor, Malaysia.

This restaurant is famous for its nasi lemak and fried onions, but they only serve it I think 4pm onwards. Came here for lunch and had to settle for nasi kandar instead.

Simple lunch, fried chicken, cabbage, some liver and mix gravy on rice. Quite authentic nasi kandar. Good stuff.

Restoran Rojak Bellamy @ KL, Malaysia.

Had it a couple of times, pretty decent. Normally people will tapau for me, my first time going to the proper restaurant.

Self service as the sign says, just queue up, order, pay, collect your food and find a table. Not bad, line went by pretty fast. Had a teh o ais limau and a mee rojak sotong. Still taste good to me, awesome.

Sup Haji Abu @ Jalan Doraisamy, KL, Malaysia.

This place is well known for its soup. Not for the faint hearted, they have the usual beef and mutton soup, but with extra special parts, ie Torpedo. I honestly haven't tried it. I normally order mixed soup minus that.

It's the same pot of soup, the meat are on the side. So when you order, then he'll mix it in. This round I ordered a beef tongue soup. The soup packs a punch, thick and yummy. Not too spicy but yet there's a certain kick to it. Pair it with the local bread(roti bengali) and you'll have a wholesome meal. If that is still not enough, they have nasi lemak packets on standby on the table.

The ayam masak merah is quite a killer too. Simple lunch, quick, affordable and confirmed food coma when you go back to work.

Mee Goreng @ Saleems Stall/Navvir Caterers, Bangsar, KL, Malaysia.

After reading online about this stall, had a sudden urge to check it out. Haven't had a good mamak mee goreng in a while.

Friend ordered a mee rebus, I had a bite of it, the sauce is good. I had the mee goreng below, superb. No wonder people rave about it. There's a nice kick to it plus the addition of prawn crackers was freaking addictive.

Fish Head Curry @ Restoran ZK, Kampung Attap, KL, Malaysia.

Mention Kampung Attap fish head curry and almost everyone knows of this local institution.

Big pot of curry simmering.

The standard stuff that goes well with the fish head curry and white rice. Do order the fried chicken, lovely.

Still good but I reckon the curry could use a little bit of oomph. Nevertheless was still an enjoyable meal.

Restoran Kudu Bin Abdul @ Jalan TAR, KL, Malaysia.

The lunch queue here is mad, full of office workers getting their nasi kandar fix. Best time to arrive is around 1130-1145am.

Just join the queue and pick your items to go along with rice. Once done proceed to counter and pay.

Took a fried chicken thigh, salted egg, some cabbages and daging limpa hitam(some internal organ of beef). Also as usual nasi kandar, make sure mix gravy and loads of it. One of the top rated nasi kandars in KL. Yummy.

Sup Hameed @ Jalan Penang, Penang, Malaysia.

Did a pit stop here, was craving for a late afternoon snack.

Ordered a sup kambing(mutton soup), comes with a thick bread.

Hits the right spot oh yeah. Chunky meats, good size portions and the soup was robust. Penang people got something good going on here.

Zulina Kari Kepala Ikan @ Jalan Cochrane, KL, Malaysia.

Curry fish head for lunch and this round we checked out this humble stall on Jalan Cochrane.

You won't miss this big red banner. The stall is located on a row of stalls next to Petronas station on Jalan Cochrane.

The fish head was fresh and the curry was superb.

The fried squid was ok, maybe if it was cut in bite sizes it would have been better.

The other star gotta be the fried chicken, excellently done. Definitely a place to check out for a heavy lunch. Lovely Food.
