Came here did a quick tapau of some otahs and nasi lemak.
They have a few tables inside if you prefer to dine in.
Nasi lemak came in a decent portion. Sambal was not bad, satisfied my cravings. This place is famous for its otah. I had 3 different versions of otah, and it all tasted good. Simple breakfast and awesome otah.

Pondok Ambeng @ Joo Chiat Complex, Singapore.
Back to my nasi padang cravings, I went and check out this stall at Joo Chiat Complex. Geylang Serai can be packed on weekends, and luckily this food court has lesser human traffic.
The usual works on display at the stall, I was actually tempted to try other dishes, but hey, if the stall is called Pondok Ambeng, I have to try their signature dish called nasi ambeng.
Rice with taugeh on top, pickled vege on the side, some tofu and beef rendang. Top it up with some nice sambal belacan, an all rounder kick ass awesome meal. I can't wait to be back and try their other dishes.

Rajah's Curry @ Corner of Still Road and Joo Chiat Place, Singapore
On a curry craving again, so when my friend suggested this place for lunch, I was like YES. Its been on my list for quite some time.
Both of us was kinda lazy to go through a fish head and opted for a fillet instead. The curry was good, felt like home cooked, it lacked a certain oomph, then my friend reminded me, that's because they never add MSG to it. How my taste buds has been destroyed with years of MSG, zzzzz. Anyway back to the curry, with no MSG, this is indeed a decent fiery curry. Been quite some time since I sweated eating a good curry.
Black sotong, I personally like it. Not many places can do a good black ink sotong, but this place nails it, and did I mention it was spicy as well.
Some cabbages to balance up the diet. Goes well with the curry on white rice.
Chicken masala, oily, spicy, flavoursome, succulent tender pieces. I'm not sure which was which, but I reckon this was the spiciest of the lot. The proprietor was friendly, good old fashioned home cooked food. I have found a personal favourite fish curry in the East, and for this I will be back next round for the fish head!

Long Phung @ Joo Chiat Road, Singapore.
I'm still recovering from my pho addiction after my melbourne trip, I just can't get enough of it. This place is the closest I found in Singapore which resembles melbourne's pho. Might be of the chilli oil, packs a punch.
Mixed beef pho, and check out that chilli oil, absolutely yummy!
The broth is flavoursome, beef slices are tender, koew teow silky smooth. This place is one of my tops in Singapore for pho. I heard the other side dishes here are good too, I still have yet to try the cockles. Hopefully soon.

Mr and Mrs Moghan's Super Crispy Roti Prata @ Joo Chiat, Singapore.
Was in the neighbourhood after runnin errands. Been here once, prata was good, and I dare say, it still is.
Ordered one plain prata, and the other onion with egg prata. They gave me dhall, i forgot they have curry as well, first time i had it was with fish curry, curry is good. But surprisingly, the dhall was equally good, and boy when u add the sambal chilli, heaven on earth. The prata is crispy, really good. One of my favourite stalls for prata.

TeoChew Steamboat Restaurant @ Joo Chiat Road, Singapore.
Steamboat, what's not to love about steamboat with some friends or family over communal food.
The menu is ample, almost everything we choose we have no complains. The quality is good, and taste wise is consistent.
The broth is nice, light and flavorsome. And the chilli dip, can't get enough of it.
One of the good steamboats i've tasted so far, but i have to mention it's a bit expensive. But for this quality i reckon its worth it.
