Roti Canai Kari Kambing Ulu Bendul @ Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

If you fancy a good roti canai pair it with kari kambing, then this place is worth checking out. The place can get hectic on weekends but the queue moves quite fast.

The roti canai is fluffy and the curry is just nice on flavour and the meat is super tender. No wonder this place is packed with patrons. Best part, you're feasting with a nice background of greeneries and a pleasant hill.

Restoran D'Anjung Timur 2 @ Denai Alam, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Another brekkie spot in Denai Alam is this place. Serving Eastern Malaysia delights. This round I noticed they serve roti sarang burung. Had to get it as this is my first time trying this version of roti canai.

Basically it's a roti canai with an egg in the middle, love the runny yolk. Condiments will be the curry, sambal and rendang. To sum it up, power packed breakfast of champions. It was a good breakfast meal indeed.

Warong Sarang Ghotty Karnivor @ Melaka, Malaysia.

Lamb shank roti canai breakfast? Look no further at this awesome place in Ayer Keroh, Melaka.

Look at that, a nice portion of lamb shank, telor goyang on a flooded gravy roti canai. Sublime.

And yes they sell plain roti canai too, as we shared the lamb shank. Quite a hearty breakfast if for one pax. Taste wise, it's good, will definitely be back if I'm ever in this part of town again.

Mee Rebus Resipi Mak Ungku @ Sri Aman Food Centre, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Friend was raving to me about this killer mee rebus, so I had to check it out. Tucked in a corner kopitiam in Bukit Jelutong.

So this stall sells Johor delicacies but I'm here on a mee rebus mission. Big mug juices was a good add on.

I wanted to go with the whole works add on everything, but luck was not on my side, they were out of oxtail and tulang. I ordered the mee rebus with shredded beef and lungs/paru. Damnnnnn it was good, the sauce had a nice tangy creamy with a dash of zing to it. Portions were huge, I thought I was gonna have some trouble finishing it. It was so good I gulped everything down.

Bonus tip, I saw this other stall selling chapatis and rotis. Came back the following week and ordered a prata and some tandoori. This stall is legit, prata was freaking excellent. The tandoori? Another killer dish.

Awesome food I would say.

Restoran Ceria @ Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

On a nasi lemak hunt and this round we checked out this restaurant in Seksyen 3 Shah Alam. This unassuming place is buzzing with loads of people.

Ordered the standard nasi lemak with some sotong on the side. Am happy with the healthy dollop of sambal. The sotong was done very good. Not stingy with their peanuts and anchovies too. No wonder a lot of people flock here for their nasi lemak. Good stuff.

Ordered a roti boom to share, quite good actually. We saw a lot of people ordered the fried chicken, had to get that as well. Yup the fried chicken definitely is a must order, crunchy batter on the outside. Lovely.

Betel Leaf @ Leboh Ampang, KL, Malaysia.

For an upmarket good Indian cuisine this place will hit your spot.

The fried tenggiri fish and pakora was lovely. We ordered some other dishes as well. I tried the briyani on another occasion, absolutely stunning. This round we had the prata or roti canai, superb.

Food is definitely good, a bit on the high side. But you know you're getting a bang for your buck here.

Roti Canai @ 123 Corner @ Kampung Sungai Penchala, KL, Malaysia.

Sunday breakfast and I had a massive craving for roti canai. Did a google search for top 10 roti canai in KL and decided to check this place out.

Big signage at the traffic light, you won't miss it.

Ordered a roti telur garing potong banjir with sambal (egg prata extra crispy, cut and flooded with gravy + sambal). Divine. Lovely piece of roti telur with the sambal giving it the extra kick.

Roti Canai Bukit Chagar @ Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia.

Did some googling and found this place not far from CIQ. Boy is this place packed, it took me 30 minutes just to queue for the roti canai.

And this was halfway queuing, guess a lot of people doing takeaways.

Ordered a roti canai telur, big portion. The sambal was a nice touch. Casual laid back atmosphere. I like the place, but next round definitely have to come earlier and beat the crowd.

Sin Ming Roti Prata @ Sin Ming Road, Singapore.

Finally I've got myself here, after being kidnapped by a friend. Another good contender for prata in Singapore.

Haven't had this type of coin prata in ages, decided to give it a go. Thick and small, this suckers pack quite a decent punch.

The curry was good, we tried both fish and mutton. It went very well with the prata.

Last but not least a prata kosong, excellent. One of top five pratas for me in Singapore.

Springleaf Prata Place @ Siglap, Singapore.

Another good contender for prata in Singapore, and why may you ask, I've been back here like 4-5 times in two months. Also there's a few factors that contribute why I frequent here, ease of parking, should be able to get a table easily and the bottom line, the food is good.

My first time here, I had a craving for thosai. Ordered a ghee onion thosai and it was done very nicely. Good stuff.

Second time here, ordered a normal prata and egg prata. Personal preference, I prefer the plain prata, it reminds me of the prata I used to eat growing up. Don't get me wrong, the egg prata was good, but it was leaning more towards a murtabak.

Third round when I was here, we ordered a medium size mutton murtabak. Boy was it huge, and it feed nicely for the both of us. Another awesome dish to order, not stingy on the ingredients. The other nice/sinful dish to order is the Umami 50 murtabak. I was raving so much about this place in the office, that a colleague of mine tapaued that murtabak back to the office, sublime!

Syed Cafe @ Simpang Bedok, Singapore.

I actually wanted to go and check out Bedok Market but the place wasn't opened so early. Ended up at Syed Cafe for prata instead.

Front facade with the seating area at the back.

Ordered an onion egg prata, generous amounts of fish curry on top, with a dollop of sambal ikan bilis on the side. One of the better pratas I've tasted in Singapore, good stuff.

Mr and Mrs Moghan's Super Crispy Roti Prata @ Joo Chiat, Singapore.

Was in the neighbourhood after runnin errands. Been here once, prata was good, and I dare say, it still is.

Ordered one plain prata, and the other onion with egg prata. They gave me dhall, i forgot they have curry as well, first time i had it was with fish curry, curry is good. But surprisingly, the dhall was equally good, and boy when u add the sambal chilli, heaven on earth. The prata is crispy, really good. One of my favourite stalls for prata.
