Kalavaraa @ North Canal Road, Singapore.

I had Hock Lam beef noodles the other day and walked past this restaurant. A Keralan restaurant and knowing how spicy Keralan food were, their briyani piqued me.

I had a cup of chai while waiting to tapau the briyani. Went for the Kalavaraa mutton briyani and boy are they not shy with the portions. I had half for lunch and the other half for next day dinner. This is a very good mutton briyani and yeap it was spicy. Luckily there's raita to sooth a bit of the spices. The mutton was soft and almost like peel off from the meat.

Man Kee HK Beef restaurant 民記港式牛腩麵 @ Bangsar, KL, Malaysia.

Came here to check out the beef noodles and what an awesome find. They also serve a very good chicken rice here.

Definitely have to order the cuttlefish ball in seaweed soup. Reminds me of HK. Chicken rice is superb.

The curry was beautiful, not too jelak. We just went nuts and ordered everything.

The egg tarts was to die for, and lastly the beef noodles. Ain't that a beauty

Restoran Ferozpur Curry House @ KKB, Selangor, Malaysia.

We came here for some breakfast in Kuala Kubu Baru, ordered some vadai, teh tarik susu lembu and thosai.

Love the thosai, food is good. Even the teh tarik didn't disappoint me. Would come back and check out the lunch spread.

The Ganga Cafe @ Bangsar, KL, Malaysia.

Found a nice quaint Indian vegetarian restaurant in Bangsar called The Ganga Cafe.

Ordered some pakora for starters, some palak paneer, few type of breads and I think was a dhall/gravy to dip the bread in. Love the colours.

Truth be told, I wasn't expecting much as I'm a non-vege person. But damn, the food is good. I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch here even though there was no meat. End the meal with some chai/tea, lovely.

Sup kambing @ M A Deen Biasa @ Jalan Sultan, Singapore.

Was one of those busy few weeks non stop till it encroached my weekend. I need to reward myself with some comfort food. Monday after work went and checked out M.A. Deen biasa at Jalan Sultan, they're famous for their sup tulang (red marrow bone soup). My first time here, and i was flying solo, i opted for a Sup Kambing instead (Mutton soup).

I have to admit, this is one of the few good mutton soups i've tasted in Singapore. Thick, fragrant, chunky meats, just lovely.

Dip it with slice baguettes, heaven on earth. But i have to give a disclosure, the baguette was a let down, or maybe i'm just spoiled by Pullman's Bakery baguette(which i can eat it on its own).

Wash it down with a teh tarik, and surprisingly, one of the better ones i've tasted. Next round i shall persuade my colleagues after work, after happy hour to be exact, to come here and have some good old fashioned mamak food.
