F1 Kanji Arab @ Kari Kepala Ikan Pantai Remis Perak.

This place must be good that it only opens on Saturday and Sunday only. And boy was it packed when I went. Place is huge with dishes all over and ordering can bit a messy. If anything you'll be rewarded with the freshest fish head curry.

So many types of fish head and sizes to choose from, just pick the one you fancy.

Must be a testament if they only open on Sat and Sun only. Curry is smacked on, absolutely delicious. Worth the drive here.

Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Noordin Bidor (Since 1997) @ Bidor, Perak, Malaysia.

Back in Bidor again and this round we went and tested the curry fish head at Noordin. We came here on a weekday and boy it was still packed during lunch time.

Forgot what type of fish head we ordered but the serving was pretty fine. Order the usual standard stuff, some chicken, cabbage, lamb etc.

The fish head flesh was fresh, the curry was sublime. Totally finger licking good. The other must order is their version of fried chicken in their own masak merah. Highly addictive! Gimme the fish curry, chicken, some cabbage and salted egg, that's a complete meal. Highly satisfying!

Kedai Kopi Yeop @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Early breakfast here on a weekend, be warned! The place can get extremely packed. We were lucky as one friend arrived earlier and secured us some seats.

Pretty hearty and heavy for breakfast but that didn't stop us from ordering. Worth checking out.

燎记猪肠粉(安顺店) Liew Kee Chee Cheong Fun (Teluk Intan) @ Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia.

Need to tapau this Telok Anson style ccf if you're here.

Oh yeah, blardy good. A tip from one of the locals, you can keep it in the freezer. Once you're ready to use, just thaw it overnight in the fridge and fry it up in a wok with a bit of oil plus two eggs per ccf packet. Yeap, I did it few weeks later, superb.

Nasi Kandar Krishnan @ Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia.

Lunch and here I am in Teluk Intan for some nasi kandar. Better come with an empty stomach, tonnes of dishes here to try.

I took a picture of the frying chicken section, but totally forgot the other dishes section. I was happily choosing items on my plate. And lo and behold my plate, some cabbages, fried chicken, chicken spare parts, baby octopus and basically a small dollop of what ever gravy that was there.

Taste wise, Awesome! Was a beautiful lunch indeed.

Kedai Makan Ayah Din @ Tanjung Malim, Perak, Malaysia.

Back in Tanjung Malim and this round we're off to check out this mee kicap. The shop is located at the back lane of the main road.

So this is the mee kicap, with some shredded chicken and some green leafs with some condiments on the side. Good stuff, I came back I think  two or three weeks later, slurps. Also on my second visit I ordered the bak chang and this is the first time I see a halal bak chang. Do try it!

Mee Kari Ramli Bidor @ Bidor, Perak, Malaysia.

Just off the Bidor highway exit is this small stall selling curry mee Malay style. Similar to the mee kicap style in Ipoh, I ordered my usual which is koew teow mee kicap plus ytf drenched in curry.

I must admit, the curry here is awesome! Was it worth the while exiting Bidor for this mee kicap? Yeap it was.

d' Tepian Sungai Restaurant @ Teluk Intan, Perak, Malaysia.

We were suppose to go to another restaurant for udang galah lunch, but it was closed. Luckily this restaurant was on my bookmarked list. Yeahhhh managed to cross this one off my list.

Simple Malay food in a laid back setting next to the Perak river. We ordered some prawns, crabs and tempoyak fish with some greens on the side.

Was it worth the hype? Definitely.

Kedai Makanan Dan Minuman Sri Mahkota @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

I rounded this place twice before and was turned off by the number of people queuing here, but I made it a point to come here one day as if there's tonnes of people, food must be superb. This time around it was partial MCO and the queue didn't look that bad, managed to get a table within minutes. First off the ordering system here is weird, they'll hand you a number, wait for the server to come and get the orders from you. It can take some time, so just walk to the ytf counter and grab some to munch on while waiting for the server. Bonus tip, just grab more ytf, as between the time the server takes your order and the food being served, it's take a while. Now my other grievance, fucking hell there was no beef noodles tonight.

Ytf was good, I wished I ordered more, but I didn't know how big my noodles serving would be. Didn't wanna risk it first time being here. The hakka noodles were awesome, especially the noodles, nicely coated. Damn it, gotta come back here again to try the beef noodles and the ytf.

Kedai Makanan Nam Heong @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Another favourite for Ipoh white coffee would be this kopi tiam at the old town of Ipoh side. This coffee shop have a few stalls selling food plus the famous egg tart.

I had the hakka mee with some ytf on the side. Always a must order if you're in Ipoh is the sar kok liew, to die for. Quite a delightful plate of hakka mee.

Last but not least, the white coffee. Slurps, doesn't look much but trust me it's a satisfying cup of kopi.
