Mee Soto @ Hj Waliti Hj Mazuki @ Haig Road Market & Food Centre, Singapore.

While I tapaued the satay, I also tapaued a mee hoon soto anika from this stall.

Superb, broth packs a punch with the addition of spicy soya sauce. Portions were plenty and love the mix beef spareparts that comes with the dish. No wonder, I just realised looking back at the pic, they have three bowls by makansutra.

Soto Madura Wawan @ Surabaya, Indonesia.

Was craving for something soupy for late supper and ended up here for some soto.

Food was indeed good and what a nice meal to wrap up this trip. I'll definitely be back to explore more food in Indonesia!

Siti Li @ Damansara Heights, KL, Malaysia.

Tucked in a quiet section of Damansara Heights is this small row of shoplots. Use to come here for Decanter and still going strong after all this years. Now I reckon there's a new kid on the block worth coming for.

Ordered a cucur udang for starters, freaking excellent. A mate of mine ordered the laksa johor.

I had the soto ayam and another friend ordered the nasi lemak which the photo was blur I didn't post it. Honestly, I don't think so I've tasted this good local fare unless somebody is cooking at home. The food is a bit on the high side, but the portions and the taste reflects the quality ingredients they put in. That's my 2 cents anyway. Bottom line if you're looking for a taste of home cooked local fare, this is one of those places.

Bonus tip order the chokodok for desserts, those tiny suckers sure packed a punch.

Alif Nasi Padang @ Aljunied Ave 2 Market & Food Centre, Singapore.

I actually like coming to this hawker centre as it's very quiet and ample tables. Been reading about this nasi padang stall which serves awesome food at affordable prices.

First time here, I ordered a soto with rice cakes. I thought the sambal hitam was nothing so I poured a few spoonfuls of it. Damn that sambal was freaking spicy. Don't get me wrong, the soto was superb, the broth was just how I like it to be, generous portions of meat and beansprouts.  I'll gladly wack the sambal again!

Second time here I ordered a nasi padang with beef lungs, chicken drumstick in spicy coconut gravy, mussels and sambal goreng with the sambal belacan. The food is good, hmmm I seriously should have kept this stall to myself.

Alrahman Kitchen @ Geylang Serai Market And Food Centre, Singapore.

So here I am back again at Geylang Serai, this round I was craving for some soto ayam with lontong. Actually it's more craving for the sambal chilli soya sauce, and this place luckily did not disappoint me.

Hmmm, soto babat on the menu, that's kinda funky, reckon will try that next round.

Simple soto ayam with a piece of begedil(potato cutlet), lontong(rice cakes), shredded chicken, some taugehs, fried shallots and the black chilli. Good stuff, the soup was light but yet packs a punch with the chilli mixed in.

Soto Ayam @ Raimah Eating House, Singapore.

Last time I was around here I had a roti john, this round for a quick bite opted for the soto ayam instead with lontong(steamed rice cake).

A beautiful broth, with shredded chicken pieces, and beansprouts, begedil (potato cutlet) with lontong below. The killer is the black chilli sauce, added a nice zing to the soup. Cheap fast quick bite, lovely.

Soto Ayam @ Adam Road Food Centre, Singapore

Previous post was for the appetizer to share, and this is my main. This soto ayam kicks ass, broth was flavorsome.

Ordered soto ayam with lontong(i think it's rice cakes). Looks plain right, but it packs a punch. The broth was how i imagined it to be, i wonder how long they boil it. And if u can take spicy, make sure u pour the chilli soya sauce dip. It brings out a totally new level of spicyness broth.
