Banh Mi Thit @ Toa Payoh by Star Baguette, Singapore.

Another post in Toa Payoh Central, this round I went and checked out this banh mi stall.

Lovely, go for the set meal plus one coffee. It hits the spot if you're craving for a banh mi.

Coffeeman @ Toa Payoh Central, Singapore.

Needed some old school half boil eggs, toast and kopi for breakfast. Went and check out Coffeeman at Toa Payoh Central.

Simple shop but one thing for sure, the set was done very well. My toast had a generous slab of kaya and butter. Ying Yang drink was kow and the eggs was done to perfection. Happy breakfast indeed.

Lisette's Cafe & Bakery @ Bangsar, KL, Malaysia.

If you fancy a good brunch spread, I reckon you should check out this spot. Be warned though, the queue can be long.

Friend had the buffet, not bad on the selections, quite a few varieties. The usual stuff on the menu with some Asian influence.

As for me, what else. Ordered the big breakfast of course. Good stuff, definitely one of the better ones I had in KL. A good place for brunch and the best part? All day breakfast is served!

Kopitiam Thong Kee @ Bentong, Pahang, Malaysia.

Off to Bentong for a day trip, we checked out this place for breakfast. Seems they have branches in PJ and Glenmarie but am headed to the original outlet, OG!

Friend had the wtm and the works.

The dry ban mian was nice, love the soya sauce taste. I had the soup version instead, also lovely.

The usual order croissants and donut to share. Not bad but just be warned, it can get crowded on weekends.

Also don't forget to try their 1+1 kopi/cham ? Good stuff.

Choon Guan Coffee Shop 偆園茶餐室 1956 @ Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.

Was recently introduced to this place by a friend of mine and I'm loving it. Looks like an authentic rustic Hainanese kopi shop.

First time here I had the steamed bread with butter kaya , half boil eggs and a kow kopi. Beautiful.

We also ordered chicken rice to share(they also do the rice balls). I would say one of the tastiest chicken rice I've tasted. Friend ordered the nasi lemak with sotong and fried chicken. It looked so good, I had a bite of the rice and sambal, awesome. Bloody hell, so far all the food I tasted here is good.

Second visit here I wanted to try the ytf stall, but it was sold out by the time I reach there at 10am. Ended up I ordered a fishball noodle soup from that stall, it was good. Funny story here, three out of 5 of us rocked up to this place with a bag of yu tiao, talk about yu tiao overload.

Oh my, bonus tip is the soon kueh, to die for. Haven't had a good soon kueh for some time and this hits the spot. The yu tiao and soon kueh is from the stalls on the main road before you turn left into the junction of Choon Guan. This place is good, service is fast and best part the people here are friendly.

Kedai Kopi Taman Eng Ann @ Klang, Selangor, Malaysia.

This corner kopi shop has some decent stalls inside.

We ordered a bun and some toast to share, not bad. Kaya was good.

I personally ordered the dry curry bee hoon with extra cockles. Superb. We ordered some chicken rice to share also, not bad.

Food is good, place was buzzing when I got here for breakfast on weekends. Must be a testament for good food. And my eye spy the Nibong Tebal prawn noodles stall, should be good as I suspect it's connected to the one I went to Setia Alam one.

Restoran New Hollywood @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

This place I'll avoid on a weekend, it's just jam packed with people. Came here on a weekday and damn it's still full of people. Luckily I managed to get a table fast.

Ordered a lor bak to share, still tasty as ever. Love the fried turnips(sar kok liew).

A mate of mine ordered the roti telor goyang (half boil eggs on toast). It looks pretty awesome, I think next time I'm gonna try that.

And how could I resist the morning ckt. Looks like the uncle stopped frying and just taking orders, and a lady is doing the frying. Still taste awesome. I was all stuffed up, if not I would have ordered the HK ccf. I see a bunch of table ordering it, guess it's still good.

Kedai Kopi Ho Kow @ Lorong Panggung, KL, Malaysia.

Found a good breakfast spot which opens early, seems some of the menu here changes daily. Except some stuff like the eggs and toast.

Pair it with a good cup of kopi, this is what breakfasts is all about. Not bad, the chilli sauce brand they use here is Kampong Koh.

Friend beehoon mee on top. Sometimes they have the black carrot cake below, sometimes noodle soup. You can also order from the uncle next door some chee cheong fun with ytf, which I find quite awesome.

Kedai Kopi Hai Peng @ Chukai, Kemaman, Terengganu, Malaysia.

Haven't been back here in ages for breakfast. An old friend introduced me to this place last time. How time flies.

Wide array of breakfast options ranging from pre-packed rice, noodles, kueh and desserts.

Nasi dagang with ikan tongkol(local tuna) is a personal favourite. Luckily the pack was small so I can wack my toasted bread and half boil eggs.

The coffee here is a must order. Hard to get this type of old school kopitiam kopi this days. Strong brewed it hits the spot.

The toasted bread was good but I think the toasted bun was way better.

Half boil eggs, can't go wrong. The food here is good, love the variety. As I'm writing this, am sipping a coffee which I bought the coffee powder from them.

Imbi Market @ Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Gosh, I wished I found this place sooner. So much glorious food!

Chee cheong fun galore again.

No complains here except when I ordered I had some mixed feelings whether to go for sweet + chilli sauce or curry. Asked the guy which one should I try, he said why not both combine. What a brilliant idea. Good stuff.

My friend ordered this wantan mee which was mended by a long hair indian guy (speaks good cantonese by the way)

Now I forgot how mean a KL poppiah can be. Delicious with nice crunchy bits, ordered from SisterS Crispy Poppiah.

I was sitting blindly, till this lady came and ask for drinks(a bit nazi, just don't dilly dally with her). Ordered a kopi ping, not too bad. Only later when I was googling for this place address I found out they serve good toast and eggs! Arghhhh definitely would be back to try the toast and half boil eggs.
Make sure you come in a bunch, so you can order and sample a variety of food.

Heap Seng Leong Coffee Shop @ North Bridge Road, Singapore.

This coffee shop is definitely one of my favourites, I've been back here a couple of times. The thing I go for is the butter kopi, half boil eggs and toast.

A nice dollop of butter melting in the kopi. Coffee is thick, rich, and love the slightly salty taste afterwards.

The kaya toast bread and half boil eggs were equally good. The best part? This place is so laid back, no queue and I feel like I'm transported back to my childhood days.

Kedai Kopi Sin Yoon Loong @ Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia.

Next stop, a must try in Ipoh is the white coffee. There's a few restaurants here all serves good white coffee, but I was brought here last time by a friend of mine, and hence I'm bringing some other friends here this trip. I shall make it a point next time to try the other shops:)

Love the old school decor, huge windows bright and airy, a lot of tables. Avoid coming peak time, as you might need to queue for tables.

Well you don't have to, but I always find it's a must to pair local coffee with their toasted bread served with butter and kaya(local jam). I simply adore this, doesn't taste like those commercialised ones.

The main reason was for this, a good old fashioned white coffee hot. Thick, not too sweet, just hits the right spot.  I normally order two of this, but being a hot day it was, I ordered a second one with ice, and it still taste good.
