Legency Jawa Mee 传奇 @ Toa Payoh, Singapore.

A legit mee jawa in Singapore and it comes with crackers too! Located in a kopitiam below Block 128 Lor 1 Toa Payoh.

I went for the small portion, it came packed with ingredients. Taste wise it hits all the spots nicely. Crackers soaked up the gravy just lovely. If you're looking for mee jawa in Singapore, do check out this place.

Mee Rebus Resipi Mak Ungku @ Sri Aman Food Centre, Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia.

Friend was raving to me about this killer mee rebus, so I had to check it out. Tucked in a corner kopitiam in Bukit Jelutong.

So this stall sells Johor delicacies but I'm here on a mee rebus mission. Big mug juices was a good add on.

I wanted to go with the whole works add on everything, but luck was not on my side, they were out of oxtail and tulang. I ordered the mee rebus with shredded beef and lungs/paru. Damnnnnn it was good, the sauce had a nice tangy creamy with a dash of zing to it. Portions were huge, I thought I was gonna have some trouble finishing it. It was so good I gulped everything down.

Bonus tip, I saw this other stall selling chapatis and rotis. Came back the following week and ordered a prata and some tandoori. This stall is legit, prata was freaking excellent. The tandoori? Another killer dish.

Awesome food I would say.

Mee Goreng @ Saleems Stall/Navvir Caterers, Bangsar, KL, Malaysia.

After reading online about this stall, had a sudden urge to check it out. Haven't had a good mamak mee goreng in a while.

Friend ordered a mee rebus, I had a bite of it, the sauce is good. I had the mee goreng below, superb. No wonder people rave about it. There's a nice kick to it plus the addition of prawn crackers was freaking addictive.

Rosli Mee Rebus @ Masjid India, KL, Malaysia.

A friend had a craving for a mee rebus and he brought me here. Did a quick google didn't know this stall was so famous.

You can order a tofu on the side like my friend did. I chose mine to be mixed together.

Damn, this is one mean piece of mee rebus. The gravy was starchy and rich, just the way I love it. The tofu peanut sauce was a killer, mix it all in, a perfect balance. This stalls mee rebus is unlike any other in KL, reminds me of a Singapore style mee rebus.

Mee Rebus Stulang Laut @ JB, Malaysia.

Yeah, back in JB for a quick errand run, and managed to check the famous mee rebus at stulang laut. The place has changed name but luckily the mee rebus stall is the original one. There's actually a few stalls selling different stuff which I'll make it a point to try next time. I kinda like the atmosphere here, a bit laid back, no frills and overlooking the Tebrau Straits.

The infamous mee rebus, portion a bit small (but hey more of other nibbles I can try), the gravy is not thick, I normally get jelak easily. Love the crunchy bits on top. Not bad at all.

Some otah and pepes to share. My first time actually trying pepes, it's actually like an otah, but instead of seafood, they used chicken. Good stuff, I kinda loved the pepes more actually.

Bright red otah anyone? And if i'm not mistaken they have satar as well, definitely would be back to try those! A good place to chill out, local food, and have a decent conversation with friends, while watching the world passes by.
