Pokrzyw's Sisters of Battle - OWAC 8 - Wrap Up

"Foremost amongst the fanatical warriors of the Ecclesiarchy are the Batle Sisters of the Adepta Sororitas. They constantly guard Humanity against the vile hordes of Chaos, the insidious threat of heretics and the assaults of heathen aliens. With their elite training, superb wargear and unshakeable faith in the Emperor, the Sisters of Battle have crushed the foes of Mankind in countless battles across every part of the galaxy" - Codex: Sisters of Battle, GW 1997

It was the hardest edition of OWAC I participated. Sisters of Battle was my first 40k army and I spent hours painting them 25 years ago. Since that time I painted many armies, hundreds miniatures.. and I lost my love to these miniatures. Although ecclesiarchy entered my workshop and under threat of penance I finished challenge.

I would like to congratulate all those who avoided field of bones and completed their great armies! You are the heroes!

Whole army from above:

I try to catch some photos of my small project:

Ecclesiarchy
with some militians
Sisters, immolator, and militiants

Inquisitorial warband
Sisters
Sisters and inquisitorial gang
Sisters
Another inquisitorial crew, cannoness and immolator

Plans for next OWAC? I am tore between two projects - wood elves or dwarfs. I don't have enough miniatures, but my friend lure me printed copies of good old stuff.. Let's see ;o)

JohnR's Dwarf Wrap Up Post - OWAC VIII

Another OWAC disappears into the rear-view mirror. I was very happy with my contribution this year, though my motivation went south towards the end. Still, I managed 148 figures (almost 25 a month) and put a big dent in my dwarf pile of shame.

Obligatory Army Shot.

Dragon Company and Lord on Snail.

Clansdwarves and General on Shield.

Norse Dwarves, Slayer and Gyrocopter.

Crossbows and Wizard.

Cannon, Bolt Thrower and Hero.

Great respect to everyone who finished this year and hopefully see you all in about six months time.

Tom's Orcs and Goblins - Wrap Up

The last squig hopper I could find, got some paint...👇

I also saw that I had neglected to paint the eyelids on one of the previous hoppers, so I corrected that. Here's a pic of them all together 👇

That kinda wraps up the extra paintwork I have done this month. I had really envisioned that I'd be able to complete the black orc unit as a minimum, but as predicted - motivation has completely left 😭

Here's a quick pic to see the state of the army at the end of February - two months into the challenge.👇
As you can see, it's pretty much the original army list completed and just the extras to paint (archers, black orcs, wyvern and hoppers). Thankfully I held back on posting as a lot of real life happened which meant no painting, and then the unenviable loss of mojo :(
Nevertheless, I still think this O&G army is my best work and I'm really proud of it. I can really see myself adding to it in the future, which is nice. I have many more monopose O&G's in the grey pile!

Sooo, all that leaves is some pics of my Orcs and
Goblins of OWAC VIII!
Apologies for these, the light was super different and washed everything out a bit. The links back through the OWAC are at the bottom of the post, and there'll be better pics on the link

Ideally I'd have loved to have taken some set pics with all the terrain and some other armies but this month has still been a little hectic. Might well be some later on my Instagram (link)
Anyway...

Mustafa’s Beakies: Wrap Up. Why paint one army when you can paint two?

Should’ve done this a few day ago, but better late than never I say!

It’s nice to have a finished RT looking space marine army, especially one that includes some tanks.

I had quite a lot of fun painting these. The sculpts are lovely BigMrTong ones (aside from the HQ and squad leaders), and were an absolute joy to paint. They lent themselves very well to drybrushing and washes as they have lots of interesting lines and details compared to the old RTB01 lads.

So, as the title suggests, I actually painted two armies at the same time. The second one is a small 1st company Ultramrine force. The squads are all three-man ones as I’ll be using the army for One Page Rules. I was tempted to do them in the same colour scheme, but I wanted to avoid boredom.

Anyway, here are some pics :)

What’s next for the Emperor’s finest? Well, I reckon they need some fast support so it’ll be jump packs and speeders next year!
